The new discovery definitely shocked him. Lee Shinwoo was left nervous after finding out what Min Yongjoon had told him, especially after having a chat with Fei Shang. He had known that something was strange and out of place when Fei Shang first came to him but he went along with it.
In the second world, that was when things really started to change. It was the first time he realized his encounter with Zhu Longwang of his past. It was the first world where his heart finally realized something.
Lee Shinwoo fell in love with Min Yongjoon, rather the soul within him to be exact. But, what changed everything?
Lee Shinwoo was sure that this had to do with his past life, and he now knew that Min Yongjoon loved him more than anything. If that was the case, why did he fall in love with another man? How did Min Yongjoon die?
Lee Shinwoo had so many questions but they couldn’t be answered by anyone but himself. Fei Shang had said that he was saved by someone and became a close follower of that person. Lee Shinwoo deduced that that person was him and Fei Shang admitted to it.
Lee Shinwoo didn’t have any memories of this and he wished he did. He wanted to know everything, the smallest detail so he could learn about everything. Even if he didn’t know everything, the fact that he knew it was his fault was good enough. For now, he would just protect Min Yongjoon and never hide his love for this man.
Lee Shinwoo laid down next to Min Yongjoon and held his palm against Min Yongjoon’s head. His head wasn’t as hot as before, that was a good sign.
Right now, it was already deep into the night but Lee Shinwoo couldn’t sleep. He was too worried about everything he had found out. Taking a deep breath, he decided that he should just focus on the person in front of him. Even if he needed to find out the hidden pieces to his past, what mattered most was Min Yongjoon.
Lee Shinwoo took one final glance at Min Yongjoon’s face as he took back his hand. As his eyes stared at him, Lee Shinwoo could feel the steady beating of his own heart begin to quicken. Without knowing, a smile was already on his lips as he looked at Min Yongjoon. Then, he finally closed his eyes. He loved this man and he always would, even if there were so many obstacles ahead.

Min Yongjoon opened his eyes as a ray of sun hit his face. As he fully opened his eyes, he scrunched his face at the sunlight within the room. Just as he was about to move, his body was constrained by someone. Turning his head to the side, he saw Lee Shinwoo sleeping next to him, one of his arm wrapped around Min Yongjoon’s waist.
Min Yongjoon’s body froze, his eyes shaking at the sight of Lee Shinwoo. In fact, his face even felt like it was burning up again as he looked at Lee Shinwoo sleeping while grasping onto him.
Lee Shinwoo felt Min Yongjoon move and hurried to stop him from getting up. As Min Yongjoon looked at him, he quickly closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. Hiding the smirk that was going to appear on his face, he could tell Min Yongjoon was silently panicking as he always did.

Then, with a sudden move, Lee Shinwoo used his arm to tug Min Yongjoon towards his direction and Min Yongjoon ended up on top of Lee Shinwoo, his face almost smacking into his. Min Yongjoon was so close to Lee Shinwoo’s face, his brain almost stopped circuiting.
Lee Shinwoo smirked as he leaned in and whispered, “Morning, handsome.”
Min Yongjoon’s eyes widened as Lee Shinwoo suddenly showed his beautiful smirk, his words entering Min Yongjoon’s head and messing with it. “Morning. Uhm, can you let go of me?”
Lee Shinwoo’s eyes darkened as he raised a brow, replying with, “I can but what are you going to do for me?”
Min Yongjoon was panicking as Lee Shinwoo leaned towards him even more. Just as he was about to open his mouth to reply, Lee Shinwoo’s next actions shocked him.
Lee Shinwoo loved to see Min Yongjoon’s blushing face but he really did want a little present. Just as Min Yongjoon opened his mouth, Lee Shinwoo captured his lips within his own.
Min Yongjoon didn’t even know what was going on until he felt lips upon his own, and a tongue entered in, forcing his lips apart.
Lee Shinwoo flipped their positions so that Min Yongjoon was on the bed as he leaned in to deepen the kiss. Min Yongjoon wasn’t resisting so this was good for him. Lee Shinwoo made sure to woo him with the kiss and he also couldn’t help but smirk at Min Yongjoon’s frozen body.
As Lee Shinwoo intertwined their lips tightly, his tongue was doing its own stuff and Min Yongjoon almost melted into it. When Lee Shinwoo pulled away, Min Yongjoon didn’t seem to be reacting with any emotions, as if he was too shocked.
Lee Shinwoo laughed as he pulled away and saw Min Yongjoon’s reaction. He quickly gave him a light kiss as he said, “Thanks for the kiss, handsome.”
And then he strutted away into the bathroom, leaving Min Yongjoon in a panic.
As Lee Shinwoo closed the door, Min Yongjoon slowly covered his red face with his hand.
[Male lead’s love meter is at 89%.]
What just happened? Min Yongjoon didn’t even know what had happened and he was pretty sure he was hallucinating right now. Maybe he was just dreaming and this was all fake. That would make sense since he was sick yesterday.
After all, how could Lee Shinwoo even kiss him? That man was straight as far as Min Yongjoon knew. After all, how could someone like Lee Shinwoo like men, right?
That man was handsome, extremely charming, and had an amazing personality. He was fit and packed, tall, and he just knew how to gather himself up. He…on second note, this was just making Min Yongjoon fall deeper into this hole. This was just setting him up to fall in love.
But, as Min Yongjoon touched his lips, he couldn’t help but think. Lee Shinwoo didn’t joke around, at least not with stuff like this. Sure, he was snarky and painfully honest at times but he didn’t joke around when it came to love. It just wasn’t something Lee Shinwoo would do.
And, remembering the kiss made Min Yongjoon lower his face in shame. If he was honest, Lee Shinwoo was really good at kissing. He was just so passionate about it and didn’t even stop to think and it made Min Yongjoon shudder. Lee Shinwoo’s eyes during the kiss was like a predator having its first bite out of the prey it killed, it was a gaze that made Min Yongjoon’s heart jump.
Maybe Lee Shinwoo did like him, it would easily explain all the things he did that seemed out of place at first. Min Yongjoon furrowed his brow as he threw his face onto the pillow, wanting to scream but resisting it. He didn’t like to think, especially when it came to things like this. This was the first time his heart had ever felt this way and he didn’t know what to do about it.
On one hand, he wanted to confess but on the other, he just wanted to dig a hole and hide in it forever. He liked Lee Shinwoo, that was for sure but he didn’t know how to move on forward from here. Should he take it slow and get to know that man more or should he just dive head first and confess? The decision was too hard.
But, if he took a long time to decide, Lee Shinwoo might move on. Min Yongjoon’s head was starting to hurt with all the thinking. And then, a door opening made him jump with surprise before he realized it was Lee Shinwoo and he hid his face even deeper in the pillow.
Lee Shinwoo came out of the shower, looking at Min Yongjoon whom had hidden his face into the pillow and couldn’t help but smile while shaking his head. How was that man breathing?
Lee Shinwoo stepped towards Min Yongjoon, putting his hand on Min Yongjoon’s hand as he asked with a husky voice, “You good?”
Min Yongjoon flinched as Lee Shinwoo touched him, the contact almost burning him and he hurriedly replied, “Yeah!”
Lee Shinwoo couldn’t help but show an exasperated expression at how jumpy Min Yongjoon was acting. He really liked this Min Yongjoon, not that the other ones before were bad but it was rare for Lee Shinwoo to see such an innocent version of this man.
Just thinking about it made him want to do even worse things and it made him grin.
“It’s your turn for the shower, I have a set of clothes ready for you.” Lee Shinwoo said as he took back his hand and tussled his hair.
Min Yongjoon finally looked back up, although he didn’t look at Lee Shinwoo’s eyes as he got up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom, replying in a meek voice, “Alright.” Then, he shut the door quickly as he hid behind it.
Lee Shinwoo watched all of this with a silly smile, the amused look on his face was clear to see. He really liked this world so far.

Fei Shang kneeled on the ground, his body wet from the rain that continued to fall on the ground. Even though it was freezing as the rain fell on him, he didn’t make a move. Kneeling in the same place for almost a day now, he was tired but he still didn’t leave. His hair was wet and his face pale, the wind blew across him.
As Fei Shang looked at the room ahead of him, with calm eyes, he put his head down and in a solid voice, he said once again, “Immortal Zhu Luishui, I, Fei Shang, brother of Fei Qianchi ask for an audience with you.”
He stayed in that position, his head against the wet ground once again, before he finally lifted his head and stared ahead.
Inside the room, the maid whispered once more, “Master, should we invite him in?”
Zhu Luishui, dressed in a somber white, repeated the same answer this time as well. “No.”
Next to him, a coffin laid. Inside was the body of his only family, and Zhu Luishui looked on with a cold face, his fist clenched tightly. The man inside was dressed in his finest robes, his face calm and peaceful, his eyes shut. Zhu Luishui looked at him. Today was already the seventh day now and everything had changed.
“Immortal Zhu Luishui, I know how to revive your brother.”
With that sentence, Zhu Luishui turned his head towards the door. “Invite him, I wish to speak with him.”
Soon after, a man entered in. Fei Shang kneeled down as soon as he saw Zhu Luishui.
“Revive my brother, huh? And where has that man gone after finding out the truth, what has he chose to do with his life? He killed himself when my brother had done everything to save him. After everything, my brother’s efforts were in vain. You want to revive my brother because of your brother’s fault?!” Zhu Luishui’s voice didn’t seem to change, but his words held undeniable anger within them.
Fei Shang kept his head low. “My brother has done some wrongs in his life, but he didn’t know what your brother had done. Qianchi is someone who has been hurt for most of his life, it was in a blind fit of anger that he hurt your brother. He truly didn’t know that things would escalate to this point. He has already ended his life, can you let him go?”
Zhu Luishui scoffed, his chest rising and falling as he scowled. “Let him go? If he hadn’t been in love with Baicheng, if he hadn’t been so blind and realized that Baicheng was always using him, I wouldn’t be in this situation. My brother would still be alive, this whole Sect would still be standing as one and Baicheng would’ve never took over. If he had took one moment to look and realize that Baicheng was always hurting him, he could’ve avoided everything.”
Fei Shang closed his eyes. “I know. But every human makes mistakes, no matter who they are. Qianchi’s mistake is higher, but he can’t be blamed for everything.”
Zhu Luishui took in a deep breath, and turned his eyes to Fei Shang. “Tell me what your plan is, this is your only chance.”
Fei Shang nodded his head, “I know. But it will take a while. I will personally look over it.”
Ahhh ML otome heart is so kyuute! Thank you for the chapter @Shellyrill101!
Is Zhu Longwang’s personality of keeping his love to himself related to why MC takes action first? Did Zhu Luishui get close to Baicheng for his brother; for the position of Lord of Suizhou?
Is Baicheng purposely twisting some memories? It seems like he hurt our MC but only speaks of others betraying him…
From my point of view ML and MC were the most innocent ones in the whole story. The two people in fault are Zhu Liushui who seems to act like he didn’t want to kill Baicheng and Baicheng himself who randomly hurt others who had absolutely nothing to do with it.
But both are acting like they’re in the right. “Oh, I’ve lost my brother, so I’ll hate the one he loved to death, yeah I killed my husband but it wasn’t my fault, who told him to be the son of the sect leader? But hey, why is my ex-husband angry at me and acting up like that?!”
“Oh poor me lost my parents because of the sect, oh poor me was killed by my husband, so let’s go and torment an innocent bystander to kill my ex-husbands brother because I’m oh so bullied and want my scum-husband to fall into despair!”
I want to lock both of them up in a closed room, where they can either do each other until they die of exhaustion or just mutually kill each other while fighting… sighs
PREACHHH!!!!!!!!!! SPOT ON GALLL!!!!!!!(or boi ehe :3)
girl is correct 😀 Thank you 😀
TY FOR SAYING THIS. The whole time we learned abt MC’s backstory, I kept being kinda ticked off that everyone (but ML ofc) believes that it was MC’s fault for ML’s demise, even MC himself TwT like, why is the MC even being punished if the ML’s brother is the one who gave Baicheng the incentive to aim for his brother, and it’s not MC’s fault that he fell for Baicheng’s facade; it’s not like he purposely shoved ML’s unrequited love into his face either and only realized his love later on T~T
So just based on that, the most innocent one is MC, followed by ML, as for the others (let’s just conveniently ignore Fei Shang’s whole existance), they are the absolute worst kind of scum. I just hope MC and ML won’t be like: Hey big brother, I understand why you did so, I won’t hold it against you, that you cursed me for being the cause of your brother’s death/I won’t hold it against you, that you cursed the person I love for being the cause of my death. Let’s forget about it and live happily ever after.
I agree with you. The more I read I just start to hate everyone. Almost all of the Characters are hypocrites. I’m just staying bcs MC and ML deserves a happy ending.
The victim blaming in the story is making me so uncomfortable. Zhu Luishu should’ve just died instead of ML. Or Zhu Luishu and Baicheng should’ve been honest with each other in the first place.
But well. Who am I to nag around here, I was still reading this novel until a certain point where I got scared away and don’t dare to continue reading. And until that very point I really love this novel.
Shelly! It’s all your fault, take responsibility 😀
Which reminds me, when I have time, I should just re-read this novel… sighs
… concuerdo con todo.
Finally!! Finally I see someone whose views matches mine!!
I don’t like ML’s brother from very first and it only gets worse. He is simply disgusting.
And most innocent ones are definitely ML and MC…
Its like when kings are at war its peasants who suffer most.(proverb in my language) it definitely suits this novel.
Then coldly watching as his ex-husband sets up the love interest of his own brother (like hell I’ll believe he didn’t know about that), watching his brother suffering along with MC, watching as his brother willingly dies for MC in and so on and so forth, only to ultimately going on and declaring: “My brother died because of MC, so MC is at fault!” like.. wtf?? The whole time he didn’t help either of them, only coldly watching, but in the end he’s trying to play an innocent victim?
This is really a typical case of a cannon fodder villain. “Everyone is at fault, except for me, pity me!”
On top of this, he doesn’t even regret what he did. At least I don’t believe he really regrets anything. He just wants to have everything going according to his own will. No more, no less.
From all those many novel I’ve read so far, this pair of husbands is ranking in the top 5 of my most hated characters… sighs
Shelly, you’re awesome for creating those characters! Thank you for your hard work!
+1
Exactly my thoughts.. 🙄
+1
I hate this bro, he kill his own husband but want to be so “just” in front of someone else like he has the right. Kill this bro, i want mr villain x mr bodyguard
Victim blaming is so prevalent in MC’S backstory that it’s very uncomfortable to read. I hope something would change this.
This Zhu Luishui is truly a hypocrite.
I really love reading all your comments after confusing chapters 👍🏼 I feel the ML’s brother is deflecting his own blame onto the MC. But I remember something about someone pretending to be the MC and killing the ML, so maybe everyone thinks the MC stabbed the ML for Baicheng? And the person who actually killed the ML is that Xue guy who pretended to be Baicheng to get the MC to fall in love with him? 🤷🏻♀️ I better get caught up to you all 😂
You remembered correctly.
if i remember correctly, that brother knew beicheng pretend to be MC and killed ML. because after that they meet to ‘talk’.
Kyaahhh!! (≧▽≦) Our Mc being hopelessly in love and a cute ML! So innocent! Omg too cute!!
The ML’s brother is such an idiot! Why does he blame our MC for everything? He betrayed someone too and was an even worst catalises for the bad turn on things!
Thanks for the chapter! (~ ̄³ ̄)~
So what if your brother like Fei Qianchi? Is there a law that said every love must be return?? Is there?!
Poor Qianchi, deceived and hurted just because he was love by your brother! If you didn’t betrayed your husband just for the sake of higher position, the situation wouldn’t have been like this. All in all, 95% of this situation is all cause by your greed! Don’t blame the victim for your wrongdoing scum!!

couldn’t said it better.
luishi is really such a pretentious jerk

💙💙💙
Zhu Luishui earned my respect.. He carried the ‘victim blaming’ to a whole another level.. Hats off man.. 👏 👏👏
I can’t take it anymore, he said as if he wasn’t wrong at all.. I already hate you so much Zhu Luishui🙃
THIS CHAPTER IS SO CUTE!!!!!💕💕
I literally made an account just to say this. Fvck Zhu Luishui! You have the audacity to blame it all on MC when you started this after you betrayed baicheng. Fvck i wanna fight him! If it wasn’t for the fact that you betrayed baicheng then baicheng wouldn’t have used the MC.
Yo hice lo mismo jaja, me hice una cuenta solo para decir FVCK ZHU LUISHUI!
I really wanna slap ml bro so much, isn’t baicheng blackened bcs of you bitch how dare u still blame everything to mc HUH
And gah, it hurts physically how MC believes that he did wrong, that he is to blame for everything. Fei Qianshi, you aren‘t. I honestly can understand him not realizing, that ML was in Love with him. I mean ML never told him, only suffered in silence until it was too late. And as a person with Asperger-Syndrom who can‘t read subtle gestics and mimics of others I feel with him.
Also only because someone loves you, doesn’t mean you HAVE to reciprocate these feelings!!
I also wonder regarding Zhu Liushi betraying Baicheng for ‚the sake of his brother Zhu Longwang’…did the ML truly need this rescue of his brother, did their situation truly varrant it? For Liushi to become so extreme, even betraying his own husband. I don‘t think so. Rather for his brother, he seems to have done it for himself, and saving his brother is only a cover. Maybe he also manipulated himself into thinking that it was for his brother..
Fei Shang seems to also believe that Fei Qianshi is the one to blame, with him hurting the ML through his actions. Though it does kinda make sense if he kept Liushi company the whole time for the sake of bringing back Fei Qianchi and ML, getting poisoned by Liushis belief.
*warrant
The audacity of this bitch Luushui to blame mc, if it wasn’t for you betraying Baicheng, then maybe your brother wouldn’t be lying on a coffin right now 🙄. Goody-goody piece of shit 🤡.
