Nix was already rising as a soldier, one step away from becoming a general. Raven was currently pregnant, hence, he couldn’t work at the moment.

“Of course, make sure you focus on your job.” Raven wasn’t embarrassed even with spectators. He had nothing to be embarrassed about. In fact, it made him even more confident.
Nix smiled as he then excused himself, “I will be leaving for a bit then, Your Highnesses.”
With that, Nix slowly walked into the palace walls.

It was weird to imagine that Raven could befriend these two people who he nearly killed. In fact, it even made him wonder how people could forgive him. Of course, it made him ashamed of himself. But… with time, he was trying to make up for his mistakes.

Raven laughed from the siblings’ banter. “Alright, alright, don’t fight over something like that. Victor, how is your newly-wedded life?” Raven quickly switched the subject.

When it was time for labor, Raven was rushed to the hospital. Nix, who had been at the academy, rushed to the hospital as soon as he heard that Raven was in labor.
Now, as Nix paced back and forth outside of the delivery room, a burst of nervousness rushed out. Male omegas and male betas did not have an anatomy that allowed them to give birth naturally. While they had the anatomies to get pregnant, giving birth was through C-sections.

Fathers weren’t allowed into the delivery room anymore, for fear that their pheromones would affect the newly borne baby.
Only after the baby was stabilized were the fathers allowed to see them. Not to mention, they also had to wait for their partner and baby to be moved out of the surgery room. Nix gasped as he took a closer look at the baby. His eyes were slightly red as he glanced from Raven to their child that he held in his arms.
“He… he’s so small.” For Nix, seeing such a small baby made his heart tremble.
“He is.” Raven smiled as he replied. The baby’s dark eyes looked around a bit. “Hold him.” Raven said.
Nix was hesitant, palms sweating. He had held many babies before, but facing his own child, he was still nervous to no end. Raven smiled, slightly chuckling as he watched Nix stretch out his arms and he himself carefully set the baby into Nix’s open arms.
“I’m so… I’m so happy, Raven.” Nix’s voice trembled, looking a bit stiff as he cradled a small baby in his arms while Raven laid back, smiling at him.
“What do you want to name him?” Raven slowly asked. While they had thought of some names before, the official name was never decided.
Nix looked down at the pair of eyes that looked at him, his heart shaking with joy. “Damon. Damon Blaxe.”
Raven’s heart fluttered once he heard what Nix said. The man… was giving his last name to Damon.
Raven’s eyes grew red as he watched Nix’s dumbstruck face, his eyes that were slightly watering as he held Damon.
“Alright, it’s a beautiful name.” Raven replied at last.
Raven was so happy. As he stared at both Nix and Damon, his heart was fully content.
This life of his, he was glad to have met Nix, to have fallen in love with him and to marry him.
“I love you, Nix.” Raven’s sudden words caused Nix to look at him.
“I know. I love you too.” Nix smiled brightly as he then scooted closer to Raven.
“Look, his brows look like yours.”
“He has your lip shape.”
“The shape of his eyes are similar to yours.”
Within the ward, their voices were both happy and joyful, unable to be hidden.
Second chances were given to some, but they must make the most out of this second chance.
