After recording the chorus of the two songs, Shan Yatong’s voice was no longer in optimal condition. As an experienced director, Lang Lijian promptly stopped recording. He gestured to the sound engineer and other staff around them to stop.

Shan Yatong set his headset down. He walked out of the recording room smiling, and whispered a soft thank you to Yang Lijian. He behaved with the same attitude as he came into the studio with. It didn’t even seem like he had taken Yang Lijian’s initial refusal to shake his hand to heart. S7sKjD

Yang Lijian nodded to him, with no expression on his face. But his attitude was much better than before.

On one side of the sofa, Shan Yatong rested his eyes, and did not see Tang Ruanqing pushing the door open.

When the staff saw the CEO coming in person, they all got up in surprise to say hello. Even Yang Lijian, who did not have much expression on his face, looked at Tang Ruanqing.

In full view of everyone, Tang Ruanqing walked up to the young man sitting on the sofa. The young man’s face was slightly pale, and with his eyes closed he looked very peaceful. DVsAGp

Just as Tang Ruanqing approached, the man on the sofa opened his eyes and looked up at him quietly. The blurred silhouette of the figure reflected in his brown eyes.

The pair of eyes was a little too calm. Tang Ruanqing watched as the teenager stood up. He smiled, and greeted him at just the right volume.

“Chairman Tang.” Shan Yatong nodded lightly. He stood to the side of the sofa, smiling without any other words.

“Great singing.” Tang Ruanqing said. He walked over to Shan Yatong and patted him on the shoulder. “Very promising.”

It was hard to tell whether or not Tang Ruanqing was being intentional, but those who heard it would be able to understand. It was unknown how well the staff here got along with artists from this company. In under half an hour, Tang Ruanqing’s words will certainly spread to those people’s ears in whatever ways possible. Shan Yatong smiled at the man in front of him. He really did not believe that this man would not have thought of this. What was this man trying to show? Was it to show that he had sharp eyes, or that he was bored, and was just trying to help a new person establish a certain position in the company?

If the president of an entertainment company said that one of his own entertainment artists had potential, he would possibly make great efforts to praise and promote him. This would allow the staff currently present to make some guesses in their hearts. In addition to understanding the strength of this young man, they could also guess at some of the president’s intentions. At the moment, they all pretended to be doing something else, as if Tang Ruanqing did not say anything significant.

Lu Fan looked at Tang Ruanqing in surprise. He suddenly remembered that this man usually treated his artists like commodities. He had never seen Chairman Tang be so considerate of his subordinates.

He understood Tang Ruanqing less and less, similar to how he couldn’t understand Jing Anjue. But these were two different men. Jing Anjue liked to wear different masks for fun, while Tang Ruanqing liked to wear a fox-like smile in public, only showing his indifference at work. bqBTQj

Yang Lijian looked at the teenager standing by the sofa, holding his glass of honey water. “If he’s performing like he did today, maybe in half a month.” hxwH8t

Tang Ruanqing nodded and continued to ask, “Do you want to keep recording today?”

Yang Lijian looked at Tang Ruanqing. He stood up. “We can rest for today. Tomorrow, same time as usual.”

When Yang Jun saw that he was ready to leave, he hurriedly took out the song created by Shan Yatong and handed it to him. “Director Yang, this is the song composed by Yatong himself. Please see if you can record it into the new album.”

Yang Lijian took the two pieces of A4 paper and did not look at the content, but looked at the teenager. The boy smiled back at him. “Thank you for your trouble, Director Yang.” ExgLdK

Yang Lijian’s face did not express positivity or negativity, but he was not very happy. As a new person, Shan Yatong’s behaviour was as if to not know the immensity of heaven and earth. Even if he had some ability, it didn’t make one happy.

Handing the cup to Yang Jun, Shan Yatong apologetically said to Tang Ruanqing, “In this case, I will go first.” He smiled at the staff around him. “Everyone worked really hard today.”

Tang Ruanqing silently watched Shan Yatong’s behaviour. When Shan Yatong left the recording studio, he also followed him out with a smile. wJRrTK

Originally, Lu Fan and Yang Jun were behind Shan Yatong. But they slowed down and let the distance between them widen.

It was still raining. Shan Yatong stood in front of the glass window. He watched the streams of water on the glass, his face exceptionally gentle.

Without looking under the window, Shan Yatong turned around and looked at the man who brought him to the Chairman’s office, quietly waiting for him to speak.

Tang Ruanqing’s hand gently tapped on the table. He leaned back in his chair and narrowed his eyes. “How’s the scenery outside?” nGEMAL

“It’s nothing much. Just some houses.” Shan Yatong sat down on the sofa on one side, looking at Tang Ruanqing. “Is that the reason why Tang Ruanqing asked me to come here, to ask this question?”

“No.” Tang Ruanqing said. He put his hands on his desk. “To be exact, I’m interested in you. I think you can tell.” After that, he watched his reaction. But even so, his expression didn’t change much, as if it wasn’t any of his business. “Not to mention, your various different behaviours depending on the individual pleases me.”

Was the implication that he wasn’t as polite to him as he thought he was? Or did this big shot in the entertainment world have a special fetish, such as liking it when people bothered him?

“I have no interest in being supported by others for the time being.” said Shan Yatong evenly. “As for Chairman Tang, I don’t think your interest in me has reached that point.” It was a tactful refusal that was soft enough to be understood as playing hard to get. But Shan Yatong was certain about one thing. This man was a fox. What he wanted to do was not to hide his true nature, but to express himself appropriately. This may be the best way to face a fox. His refusal was both an expected and unexpected reaction. In this circle, anyone with a supporter behind the scenes would become popular faster. Did this teenager not even know that?

Tang Ruanqing turned his chair with a faint smile. With such handsome features, he could attract any woman. It was a pity there was only Shan Yatong sitting here.

“That’s a shame.” He said without a trace of regret. Just then, the internal telephone line rang.

When Xiao Qishen opened the door to the Chairman’s office, he was a little surprised to see Shan Yatong. Looking away, he sat down on the other side of the sofa with a lazy posture. “Chairman Tang, you still have an hour to go. I have two shots left to film for tonight.” 08 cpO

Tang Ruanqing’s finger tapped unhurriedly on the desk. “But you didn’t film in the afternoon, right?”

Xiao Qishen raised his eyes. “It’s a night scene today.”

Tang Ruanqing let the conversation drop. He smiled and changed the subject. “We’re almost ready for the roundabout tour in Southeast Asia. You’ll have to prepare for the concert once the filming is over.”

Xiao Qishen raised his eyebrows. These were matters handled by managers. When did this become something for him to inform? UljvdK

Shan Yatong leaned back, listening to the two people talk about matters unrelated to him. He propped his head on his hand, leaning his arm on the armrest. He listened to the two talk about the Southeast Asia concert tour.

“Why don’t we invite Yatong to be a guest at some of the domestic concerts?” Xiao Qishen looked at Shan Yatong, giving a standard smile.

Shan Yatong smiled back. “Xiao-ge must be joking.” He really didn’t understand Xiao Qishen’s behaviour. Did the Heavenly Emperor invite second-rate entertainment artists as guests?

He suddenly felt that he did not understand what the two men were planning at all. 54vcdE

Xiao Qishen was one of Sky Crown Corporation’s shareholders. This was something he knew about. These two people latched their attention onto him at the same time. Was this really just because of his talent?

What talent could it be in this circle, surely it was a joke?

With a smile, Shan Yatong got up. “Okay. As long as Xiao-ge needs me, I can do it any time.” He looked out of the window. “Chairman Tang and Xiao-ge have things to discuss. I will take my leave first.”

Tang Ruanqing glanced at him and nodded faintly. l0RCem

Xiao Qishen watched the door close. “You’ve got a crush on him.” He said with certainty.

Tang Ruanqing rubbed his chin with a gentle smile. He regarded Xiao Qishen. “Oh?”

Xiao Qishen stood up and patted the nonexistent dust off his sleeve. “I’ll take my leave.”

Watching the door shut, Tang Ruanqing smiled and said to himself, “Have I taken a fancy?” He raised an eyebrow. “Not really.” nlxtiL

  1. Don’t let those men confuse you SY!!! Keep working hard 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

    Happy Lunar New Year! (Late)

    Thank you for the chapter!!

  2. I like how much Yatong questions everyone’s motives for being friendly to him. Yatong doesn’t seem like an easy person to get close to in both his first life and now. And very understandable too, given how unreasonable it seems to sudden pay attention to an newcomer artist.

  3. I think Yatong is terrifyingly perceptive and doesn’t really want to entertain a deeper relationship with the people who only get closer to him because they see him as a substitute for his past self. It’s only Xiao Qishen who doesn’t seem to have enough familiarity with his previous life to have that kind of unrequited love. Instead, he’s willing to entertain the idea of his pursuit a bit more seriously because it’s fresh, new, and with no hint of an immortal white moonlight to live up to.
