Lol, Saman intentionally giving false information so Ren Yifei remembers him… Also, him calling A Fei has just doubled the first arcs re-reading value, because either Saman or one of his people was in that instance. Which just goes to show — god, this story is so well written… Once this is completely translated I think I have to read this again.

   • First arc was stand alone. A Fei gave Saman his name at the end of the arc two. However first arc is stil good to reread to get granny ghost & lil cutie A Fei feels.

   • In the first arc that lamp trimmer who rushed to MC instinctively wanting to steal the Ghost Card of grandma Chun but stopped in the end is suspected to be Mu Zhi (or maybe it was really her), a subordinate of Saman. She was seen speaking to her friend about someone (MC) who can perfectly disguise as and her friend even compared MC with Qian Tianxi (thousand faces)- a master in disguise.

Live a good life free from crazy juniors and their obsessions! I like that Saman decided to grab Ren Yifei’s attention with his own skill in taking apart actors, which he is in fact known for—and he’s right, while Ren Yifei can use different faces and completely adapt to different emotional settings, the microexpressions he uses to express those emotions are likely to have similarities. They’re the tools of his trade he honed to perfection, so when he expresses himself deliberately there will likely still be signs of them (and their perfection) there. It would be incredibly difficult to create and use entirely different subconscious tics with no overlap each time, though I do have to wonder if Ren Yifei, upon discovering what Saman found, will try to do it anyway. Is this about to become a cat and mouse game of Ren Yifei trying to improve his acting while Saman tries to keep taking it apart? Or is Saman just going to get a cheat on the level of Ren Yifei’s recognizing him by a likely metaphysical scent? Either way, I’m looking forward to it! I’m also looking forward to the results of the video from last time, and what video they might make of the instance this time. So many fun shipping opportunities!! And also the resultant money, which of them is going to buy the prop to find the other?

    • Saman and Ren Yifei did meet officially in arc 2, Neighbourhood, where RYF introduced himself as A Fei. RYF also introduced himself as A Fei in the first instance, Happy Funeral. Thus, the only players who would know him by this name would be from either the first or second instance, which would be a very small number (so this name would not be wide spread).
      RYF knows that Saman knew this name from Neighbourhood. But I guess since not many people knows that name, it is unexpected for any player to call him ‘A Fei’ (it would be more understandable if they had called him Black Rabbit, Nian Tianxi, or any other disguise specialist). So for Saman to specifically call him ‘A Fei’, it meant that Saman knew it was him.

      I hope this helps, but which part are you referring to? Maybe Fish interpreted something wrong TT

It was a somewhat complicated arc because of the scenario (until now I didn’t quite understand the location of each thing, that is, the scenario map), but it makes me even sadder thinking that He Jun actually died. I’d like to think that he at least reincarnated, but then his soul was consumed then… it’s really unfortunate.
