恭敬不如从命 (gōng jìng bù rú cóng mìng):  In simpler terms, “It’s my pleasure”.

Translator's Note

I’m trying to figure out what this is referring to but I can’t ?

  1. »Halfway through his words, Xu Luo raised his eyes and saw..« This one and the next sentence say the same thing but typed differently. I guess? :’D

Aigo, even more poison is now inside JQH’s body :’D And XY is just like “Not as planned!!”.

    Thx for the ch ٩(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )و

  2. I think Ji Qinghuai meant with “If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have disturbed you.” is because Xie Yan’s cold and noble elegance was disturbed and his eyes are now full of helplessness so if he had known this would’ve happened, he wouldn’t try to court Xie Yan?

Aaaaah. Don’t think like that, it’s sad!

    Thank you for the chapter!

  3. Everyone’s commenting about the main plot, and here’s me thinking that Xu Luo and Xiang Yangfei make a surprising side couple.

  4. My interpretation on the last “If I had known I wouldnt have disturbed you…” was JQH wistfully wishing to turn back time, so Xie Yan doesnt have to suffer and ultimately watch JQH die. If he had known, [how painful it would be for Xie Yan] he would not have disturbed [his feelings] him

  5. “If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have disturbed you.”

My take on this is that, if Ji Qinghuai had known that he’d possibly die so soon, he’d rather not have gone after Xie Yan and have a relationship with him. That way, Xie Yan would be spared from feeling helpless and heartaches. (〒﹏〒)
