Also do these old fashioned families have no other idea for punishment other than whipping?? It’s modern age already!! There are certainly more appropriate punishments that don’t include hitting someone with already bad health. Also isn’t anyone going to investigate why Ji Qinghuai lost control or are they just gonna do it like “oh he almost killed someone while sparring, normal mistake I did it dozens of times in my youth” ?????

Really… the person to blame is the doctor, who didn’t bother to inform anyone that there was another toxin in his body, not to mention what the effects of it were.
