      • I didn’t mean to reply that to you but imo the master I’d somewhat u fair. Mufeng nvr asked for spirit stones. The master willingly gave them in the hopes he’d focus more on alchemy. In our mcs case, if jx is stronger n able to protect them both from the protagonist et al, then he can truly focus on alchemy n I’m sure that was part of his thought process. Imo, once you give the money to the person, how they decide its best to be used to assist in whatever you gave it to them for isn’t your business. If he wanted to guarantee it could only be spent on plants then buy plants or something. And he didn’t use it to “pamper” a gf but to strengthen his partner which has much more immediate use for their general safety. But the stinky disciples just had to stick their noses in somebody’s business. If shen xin was rly concerned she should’ve asked him abt it first instead of the dumb approach she took knowing 3rd elder would be angry without context.

  4. Well, Mufeng could have made money some other way. Sure this was the easiest, however this wasn’t what it was given for. So I understand his master.

    But those envious other disciples on the other hand are horrible, I hope they will get their ass handed to them in time.

    Well, she offered to smooth things, and offered to teach him. Besides, she knows her master best. I don’t think I would have kept it a secret either, considering all the outcomes.

    I hope the master cools down in time.

  5. This master is just biased. He’s telling him not to use money on his lover right after he’s given his lover (who he had raised from a small child) all treasures and weapons?? Can’t he understand it

  6. Good mufang gets away with stuff all the time , hike acts like he wants a master for alchemy but isn’t even serious about it. I would be mad too if I gave a student money for class and he blew it on someone else. But mufeng will prob find away around this and will prob kill the masters lover or go to the trade master.

    • I dont believe he gets away with things all the time. He read the novel and deeply understands their character.

      This is a person he does not know too well so he has underestimated how he will react. Besides the master is been biased Afr he is taking care of his woman and mufeng is taking care of his man.

      He did not even ask why he did that, he just jumped into conclusion.

    • Wat do u mean he gets away with stuff all the time? If mufeng requested the money I’d be more understanding of his anger. Once the master gave the money to mufeng of his own accord, its not right for him to jump in to dictate how every bit of it be spent as long as his disciple is intent on utilizing it in a way that allows him to focus more on alchemy which is wat was wanted n was happening. Hes spent almost half his life studying alchemy so of course he’s serious about it but he also has to consider the protagonist etc n protecting himself n his wife. You speak as though he gambled the money for fun or something.

  8. It’s soo childish. And I know you see you ex-partner in Mufeng, but will you forever live in the past? Beside if he is your disciple shouldn’t you trust him a bit? Or ask about his reasons?

  10. I can’t fault the master for being upset about the stones; giving someone money to study only for them to spend it on someone who didn’t really need it would piss me off too. That’s entirely Mufeng’s fault.

    But, I feel that this rage probably stems from jealousy that Mufeng loves his partner so much when the master’s partner didn’t love him like that.I don’t think it’s even about the money anymore. He’s the third master; that was probably pocket change to him, assuming regular disciples can buy a 50,000-dollar pass.

    • He didn’t spend it on someone who doesn’t need it. Besides, my biggest pet peeve here is that the master gave it to him w.o being asked n is now mad how it was used. it’s the first thing in the book thsts actually passed me off.
