1. They should have put out the “do not disturb” insects for the stupider relations just in case! Thanks for the update 🤣❤️🤣❤️🤣❤️🤣

2. It still sits badly with me the way [the author and] the protagonists treat the maid as a disposable object instead of a person, killing a slave to ‘teach a lesson’ to her master who insulted them. I wouldn’t object so much if he’d attacked the aunt directly, (although insult does not justify killing) but this really bothers me. Really, their behavior is getting closer and closer to that of the ‘original’ main characters who LMF complained so much about in the beginning.

“She should be killed. If you didn’t kill her, Wang Yumei would still be a nuisance. If you killed her maid, Grandpa would naturally dare not let her come again.” WTF, Liu Mufeng.

• Right? they complained about the FL because they thought human life was nothing more that trash, and now go around and do the same??? It seems like their character development is going backwards.

• Yes, same for me. I don’t remember if it actually happened but there was also the thing about stealing treasures from random people who didn’t attack them. Which is exactly what Mufeng complained about when he just transmigrated, because it would happen to him.

It’s quite uncomfortable…

• He did steal from all the cultivators he detoxified when they were kidnapped and unconscious. (CH118) Not quite as bad as what the original mains did (killing to steal), but still an example of his growing sense of entitlement. “I treated your injuries, therefore literally everything you own besides the clothes on your back is mine to take.” Ummm, no. And he clearly knew it was bullshit because he did it secretly and pretended it was the doing of the kidnappers.

Even if he wanted to be selfish and make a profit off the misfortune of people who never did anything against him, this is too extreme. He could have treated them enough to recover consciousness and then set a high price for the complete treatment, and they would almost certainly have agreed under the circumstances of being helpless in enemy hands. Instead he takes everything, pretends to be a good person…

And then they get super offended when those people they robbed and lied to split up from them and take off on their own when they get the chance. (I think it was in a secret realm.) Our Jiang Xu actually says “Hmph, what do these 6 people mean? Did they fear that we would kill them and take their treasures? […] Hmph, a bunch of bastards, if we wanted to kill them we would have killed them long ago, why would we wait until now?”

A) You already stole all their stuff once, and they probably know that by now, since they’re not stupid and also accompanied by the women who witnessed it, who have no particular reason to keep quite once the group split up.

B) They managed, with great difficultly to find some new stuff in the secret realm.

C) Why wouldn’t they be afraid? You didn’t kill them when they were unconscious and easy to rob, and when they were conscious they were useful in the escape/exploring the secret realm. But now they have stuff again and there’s no more common foe, why should they hang around and risk it? You guys are obviously untrustworthy.

Honestly, it’s really hard for me to keep enjoying a webnovel like this once the MCs ditch the moral high ground.

• Sorry to hear that. It’s also hard for me. But I have been Tl-ing cultivation novels and that’s just how it is for most, where the strong and smarter prevails. You could only trust yourself and do whatever you can to survive, if not you will be the one being trampled upon. Hence other characters showed how was it really. They’ll outsmart or kill or steal from everyone regardless. For us it’s really immoral and hard to accept. Let’s just try to understand that this is Xanxia, where killings and whatnots are the way to survive… 🙂 🙂

• Yeah, I get it. And it’s why it doesn’t bother me as much when it’s Jiang Xu who does this kind of remarks. What bother me the most is that it feels like “backward character development” for Mufeng. Because he doesn’t reflect on that, on his changing mentality. It doesn’t have any stake, like him wondering if he is still the same person.

The way it is written doesn’t feel like character development where the MC adopt the viewpoint and values of the people of the world he is in. It’s doesn’t feel like his morals changed but his actions did. I also don’t feel like there was a “turning point” where he realised the world was like that and he has to adapt or something.

What makes me uncomfortable is that he still feels righteous maintaining his old values and judging other by it, but doesn’t abide by them himself. I guess it’s the writing that makes me having this feeling, and also the fact that since he doesn’t have any hard time or setback, he can’t reflect on himself in a way we readers would understand and approve of, to change his mentality from modern person to cultivator.

• The situation you’re talking about wasn’t in the secret realm. It was after the sect mates drugged 400 ppl to be sacrifices to open the emperor’s palace. Mugeng n xiao xu could’ve killed them all after the master n hus disciples died bc those ppl had outlived their usefulness but they didn’t. Mc n ml chose to split up from them as they all pursued their own opportunities. Jx was just surprised at how quickly they all ran seeing as he n mc could’ve killed them much sooner if they wanted yet they hadn’t so why fear them now. In reality, lmf is aware thst the guys were judt being overly cautious NC y not so he wasn’t surprised. Also, who’s to say the ppl would’ve paid mc for saving then after he alrdy did. Why would they once it was alrdy done? Instead of risking not being paid fir his pills that aren’t free, he took their belongings guaranteeing payment of some kind. Not to mention, if he and jx had chosen to not willingly get trspped, all those ppl would be died anyway. Mc n ml didn’t go out of their way to kill n steal from them. They chose to rake what they wanted offering life saving opportunity in return. Sure fhdy couldn’t taken nothing but they aren’t saints and saints get taken advantage of in these kinds of worlds. As for the maid, they treated her like a person not an object. She was a person who knowingly disrespected someone much stronger n was killed as a result. Ml didn’t go out of his way to kill her just bc she’s weaker or anything. He killed her bc she angered him like an idiot 😂 . Might is right. Don’t pick a fight with something you can’t beat.
• Mufeng complained about killing to steal treasures not just stealing them but I’m sure he dislikes both so doesn’t rly do it. The female protagonist n hero killed og bc they didn’t like the price he put on the treasure they wanted to buy.

3. I begun to like this forth aunt…. At least she seem more like a relative than the other … And thoughtfull too …hope they 100% sincere and on the LMF and JX side …

Thanks for the chapter 🥰🥰🥰🥰
