  5. I also thought Hai Ri would act the female lead, but during practice, Hai Ri couldn’t express the agony Sheng Canyang wanted, so I thought it made sense for them to switch…

  6. I think I finally figured out what Hai Ri’s mental illness is! I’m like, 70% certain it’s OCD/Hyperfixation- that’s why he’ll randomly fixate his attention on a certain aspect and constantly repeat lines; ‘Adam’s apple, Adam’s apple, Adam’s apple. Gulping water, gulping water, gulping water. Opened bottle, opened bottle, opened bottle.’ Or in this chapter; ‘So scary, so scary, so scary’. These are also ‘symptoms’ of anxiety but it seems unlikely to be the case for Hai Ri considering how social and confident he is at times.

    I still feel like Hai Ri is making things up in his head and warping his memories into reality- which is possible considering we’re reading from his viewpoint. The amount of inconsistency doesn’t seem logical otherwise.
