He’s a human, a normal human. He aint got superpowers or things like that. Moreover, he grew up comfortably, which leads to him being clueless at some things. Yet, he’s being called “dumb” bcs of it. If I had to be honest, I probably wouldnt even be able to come up with half of his ideas on how to complete the missions he received. But he’s able to. He’s clueless sometimes, but always trying his best to figure out, learn, and do his best. No one seems to see that in him, however… and called him “the typical dumb MC” without actually thinking much, which honestly just feels too much… But that’s probably just me lmfao so yeah don’t mind it.

I usually don’t read the author’s comments since they always give away spoilers or “funny” comments that ruin it for me. But I did this time and I’m with you, I’ve read this novel thrice, always found Ye Chen endearing, never thought of him as dumb, he does come up with clever and sometimes embarrassing solutions for clearing up his missions. What can I say? I love this novel, this are even some of the few names I can remember of all the danmei I ever read.
