11. Honestly the story telling is too caught up with this auction thing and trying to civilize with mortals. Can’t Gu Zuo detect everything from miles? Why not just follow the Zhao guy instead of relying on the Tian family.

    If it were a normal MC from a normal Xianxia they would demand his father from the start and they will show everyone how they could destroy Earth and civilization easily. There’s no need to handle this like adults when Gu Zuo can literally crush everyone there without moving a single finger.

    I hope this story ramps up the momentum because this feels really forced and inconsistent with what they have already achieved.

    Cause in proportion according to the author, even their sect is many times bigger than planet earth.

    If I were them I would ride on Tianhengd back ask him to run and use my mental stuff to detect my father. Problem done in one chapter.

    • That is inconsistent with ah zuos personality. He always prefers to go about things in a civil nonviolent way if possible. So, it’s purposefully done this way to remain in line with his personality. To him, violence is always a last resort. This was even mentioned in the chapter. As you can see, gyth is leas hesitant to be violent which is also in line with his personality.
    • To add on to Mistiqye’s comment, I was once told that this novel has the world settings of cultivation and xianxia, but the character settings (and how they face certain obstacles) lean more towards domineering CEO. Gongyi Tianheng is still “building up his financial empire”, but which CEO would personally take out the trash or get rid of cannon fodder?

      Remember, back when he was a sickly and weak child, he managed the businesses and properties of the Gongyi Clan. His words controlled countless livelihoods, and control is an integral part of Tianheng’s psyche. Even though he has grown considerably thanks to Gu Zuo, this mentality hasn’t changed. Unless he needs to personally take action, the author prefers delegation.

      Thankfully, this arc ends at Chapter 428, then the story jumps back to the Central Continent.
