  1. ahhhh I feel so bad for Wei Qing – but equally bad for Wei Qiwan… ahhhh

    #GoodIntentions?

    • Good intentions, terrible execution.

But after the rain comes the rainbow, or something?

(Wei Qiwan, hopelessly searching the internet for advice on what to do once you’ve already messed up in pretty much every conceivable way).

  2. Ahhhh, I’ve been waiting for this chapter qwq

Thanks that you put this in one, long chapter and didn’t split it into two short one. I believe I wouldn’t have survived a Cliffhanger.

I thought that Wei Qinq knew about the Tape qnd Gao Zhong was just a bit fucked up back then but this is another level of creepy. I would also want to vomit if I was Wei Qinq.

Now we shall completely count on the significant others of the Wei Brothers. QwQ

    • I’ve been waiting for and dreading it. But here we are!

Yeah, I couldn’t find a good cutoff so long it is! Because when you’re getting through something emotionally taxing, sometimes it’s just a slog, and there’s no helping it. As far as the tape…

Messy, two-year-fling Wei Qing probably would have been willing to make a tape. Ditto last life if Yang Wushe had asked for such a thing. But Gao Zhong was his first love, his first time, his first– he was still so shy and still learning the ropes and still trying to be a proper boyfriend– I don’t think he’d have the nerve for such a thing.

Yue Fei and Long Shouning, it’s in your hands now. Godspeed.

  3. Yeah I wouldn’t have survived a cliffhanger either. And oh dear. I’m even more infuriated than Weiwei because. How. Can. Someone. Be. So. Stupid.

And the “why didn’t you ask for my opinion ?’ hit the nail on everything wrong about Wei Qiwan. I know he never have any king of model parenting and he’s a tree stump. I know. But that’s respecting his brother and he didn’t.

Oh gosh I want to cut down a few tree stumps to feel better ! Thank you for the longer chapter though very much appreciated. First treat of my holidays 🍪

    • Honestly, Wei Qiwan’s brain pit is massive, and the bar is on the floor.

I love QiQi (because I end up loving pretty much every character [Not You Yang Wushe]) but I also think that he’s being a little dishonest here. Not intentionally, but being dishonest to himself. I think that Wei Qing is right, and some part of Wei Qiwan didn’t talk to him about it because he does (or did) have some internalized view that Wei Qing’s behavior was shameful, so he doesn’t bring it up. He brought up Wei Qing as too much of a baby, and when he saw him in an adult situation, even as an adult, he felt that it wasn’t just the tape, but the situation itself was wrong. (His baby brother should be a baby forever, even when he has a boyfriend, they shouldn’t do that kind of stuff). Not logical, but I do think there’s an aspect of that happening here. He’s angry at Gao Zhong and blames Gao Zhong (as he should) but I think when he first saw the tape, some part of him blamed Wei Qing too. Was angry at him for growing up. Even though he didn’t want to, even though he can’t admit that, even to himself. I think that discomfort and the bad advice he got coalesced into the worst ‘plan’ possible. I also think that as Wei Qing spiralled, Wei Qiwan’s fake disgust turned more genuine, which made him harsher and colder than he originally intended.

Basically, he started out with an understandable shock — (No one wants to see a family member during bedroom matters), but his recovery from that shock got worse and worse, and every time he had a decision to make, he made the wrong one. Part out of protectionism, and part out of his own unwillingness to have an honest conversation, no matter how uncomfortable it might be. By the time he came back to reality and realized what an ass he’d been, how much damage had he already done?

  4. Is WQW mentally retarded or what? 🤔 I think this is the worst well-intended thing I’ve seen in my life, and I’ve seen some 💩

    • When it comes to Wei Qing, his perspective is pretty much non-existent. I think part of him took the advice and followed it because he didn’t want to have to think. He wanted to use someone else’s playbook, he wanted to cede control and sort of distance himself.

Which is wild, given how enmeshed he and Wei Qing had always been. Even if he’d just been distant, it would have been crushing with that kind of relationship. Being cold and dismissive? Wei Qing never had a chance.

  5. That was really painful to read. I understand both sides. Bog bro didnt want to taint the love wq thought he had. Then again in wqs eyes his brother basically knowingly let a psycho stay with him.

  6. It sounds like something happened to Long Shouning that he really didn’t want happening to Wei Qing. Obviously, he wasn’t wrong about Wei Qing being targeted, but maybe Wei Qiwan underestimated his own ability to protect him or convince him his first boyfriend really was the one who sent the tape and made the threats.

  7. I totally understand where he is coming from , as his brother should have told him, even showed the tape if he didn’t believe. However, he should also put he blame where the blame is due. Thought he had matured a little bit by now.

  8. Honestly this all comes down to how shit of a job their parents did raising them. Qiwen was pretty much left alone for 12 years and then turned into a parent, and qing was left so desperate for love, attention, and affection he would do anything to keep the one giving it to him happy.
