That was a tough one. When Wei Qing asked if he looked that lost and timid? There’s just not a happy outcome for that conversation. I really felt Yue Fei’s limitations in knowing that physical comfort is called for but not appropriate at that time. I’ll feel better when they get home 😅.
I really hope their plan will succeed… i can’t waot to see this bastard’s (yws) reaction 👀
And i remember who a’ju is but…i forgot if he died (killed by yws because he had a relationship with hlc i think)?? Or did he just leave because of yws?
It was mentioned that in the previous timeline that yws set him up to die in a motorcycle accident. However I don’t know if that has occurred yet or not in this one. Please let him still be alive author! 😰
Unfortunately, A’Ju was killed right when Huang Luchuan graduated college, so even with rebirth, he’s long gone. TT-TT
I feel sad for Pygmalion. His childhood friend and loved one got killed and he lost the sole model of what a healthy relationship could be with him. I understand Yue Fei’s anger but I’m more like Wei Qing and well. Sad. It’s such a waste
Thank you for the chapter 🧁
Pygmalion’s the creator though… Galatea is the creation.
All I can say is despite being artistic people, the ones that came up with the name are more interested in the Pig/Pyg language joke (and since it only works in English, they can feel superior about it)– In general I’d say that in the adaptations, Pygmalion is far more recognizable and the meaning is understood in the same way as Frankenstein vs. Frankenstein’s monster. When mocking someone with a reference, the most important thing is name recognition, even if it’s a little lacking or illogical when you go back to think about it. Although they like to dress it up by going back to the classics, in fact, they’re mostly thinking of the film/theater adaptations of Shaw, most of which use the name Pygmalion in the title or in references, but never mention Galatea at all. Basically, just enough wit to be rude, but not enough to actually come across as intelligent, that’s a good look for bullies in any situation.😅
Fair enough.
There were chapters describing trauma of our main couple which were out-right horrible to read and left me utterly heartbroken and angry. But this one…Huang Luchuan’s “destiny” constructed by YWS just freezes me. It’s a complete void. Dear author, you are brilliant. Thank you for the story and the character depth.
