I’m assuming Lord Twelve did recruit her and she spends her time with QiQi as they make their way up the underworld bureaucracy ladder but I’d appreciate that canonized.

So yes, Twelve has his own story (about that betrayal he can’t quite remember) but he’s far enough back in the line that I’m not yet sure if he’ll eventually get a standalone or will just be woven through everyone else’s story– he’s got a larger part in my apocalypse reset zombie outline already written out, but part of me hopes that this writing thing works out more longterm and that I can eventually deliver his heavenly courtly intrigue properly and all in one place.
But first, haunted island!
(Also, I feel like a bad writer for this, but I’ve never actually made it around to Discworld. I know I should, I just need to sit down and do it )

The second stream people sound a little like the Indigo Children I read about, years ago but Wei Qing is making it sound like a palace drama with robots 😄. It’s funny enough to almost balance the image Wei Qing trying to save his brother and then learning to sleep without Yue Fei. I have a super secret soft spot for widows.

It took me 2 months. I know. I start reading your story just after moving out quite far away of my friends and family (for work sob) and when I felt lonely or I missed them m, reading about Qiqi’s shenanigans or the weird dates of Yue Fei and Weiwei helped me a lot. I took me two months because I wasn’t ready for their story to end. And damn that chapter killed me in ways I didn’t expect (“can I have a whale ? Does it hurt ? Can I get a cat ?”). I don’t regret a thing though. Thank you for writing it and sharing it. Onwards to the extras and your future stories !

Gong’s POV ain’t my cup of tea (with rare exceptions), and for switch, it really depends on the couple’s dinamic. But a story from a 95% bottom POV, while the 5% switch was actually suggested by the partner, for me is the dream bl. So the switch extra is absolutely welcomed.
