    • While she was unaware, she was also the one who chose to surprise him, not giving him any notice and leading to all this. So I didnt hate her but I somewhat disliked her presumptiousness.

    • I mean, why would she think that her cousin was out on a date with his male friend? Also she’s always had a good relationship with Huanhuan, so I don’t think it’s self centered of her to assume that a lot of these things were for her. She’s a little oblivious, but not a bad person.

      • I don’t know if it’s normal in other country.. but if it were me, I still wouldn’t act like her to prevent any misunderstanding. If I was in her position, I would think that maybe he buy that for his girlfriend or his friend who celebrated his birthday or something.. and certainly wouldn’t act like her

        So yeah, maybe it’s just the differences in our thinking / environment. Mine is more reserved I think 🤔

  36. Don’t meant to hate on Jiejie, but I absolutely HATE SURPRISES for this very reason. Like when people tried to surprise me on my birthday, but I had plans with my husband (who was then only my boyfriend). But I also wish Jing Huan talked to his Jiejie about what’s been happening on his life, so that the girl would know when she might be intrusive.

  37. Don’t mean to hate on Jiejie but I absolutely dislike being surprised for this very reason. Like when I had plans with my husband (who was then my boyfriend) and people wanted to surprise me on my birthday. I already told my husband to tell people to avoid surprises during birthdays. Maybe if Huanhuan told his Jiejie about the updates in his life, she would have enough information to know when she might be intrusive.
