The wide swing caught the ankle of the alpha close to 49. The blade deeply sliced across the ankle, causing the blood to splatter out. The alpha fell, hitting the ground with a thud. 49 quickly moved, jumping on top of the alpha before the man reacted.
Deeply sinking his teeth into the alpha’s throat, 49 ripped a chunk off, spitting it to the ground as blood covered his teeth and slipped down his chin. He looked mad, growling at the remaining three alphas, who took a cautious step back.
His eyes found the prince once more as his hand slid across the ground, looking for the sword of the dying alpha underneath him. His hand hit against the handle as he gripped it, pulling himself from the body.
He stood up before rushing forward, going for a second. Seeing 49 sprinting towards them, the alphas took a step back until two of them noticed how 49 moved slower than usual.
After the display from earlier, they forgot that 49 was in heat. So, the two alphas also moved forward—one with a sledgehammer and another with a spear.
The sledgehammer swung forward, causing 49 to slide to the ground. 49 did not have his balance from before as he fell into the dirt. But, the fall did not hinder him as he sliced the alphas leg cleanly off.
A spear flew towards him as the alpha, holding the sledgehammer, landed on his knee. 49 rolled his body, using the sword to block the spear. The metal parts clanged together as the spear changed course, landing in the dirt.
The alpha, who threw the spear, growled before rushing forward, throwing himself on 49. They rolled on the ground as 49 elbowed his nose, pushing the man away. The nose broke as blood flowed down, landing near 49’s eyes. 49 closed his eyes, swiftly earning a punch that busted his lip.
He lifted his legs, wrapping them around the alpha’s waist as he flipped them over. Without giving the man a chance to do anything, 49 began to land fast punches on the man’s face.
His fists landed heavily.
The alpha tried defending himself, but 49 harshly dug his knee into the man’s ribs while he kept punching his face without abandon.
The alpha was no longer breathing as 49 did not stop, destroying the face before him. Rage coursed through him as he wanted to open his mouth and scream. Then, a kick landed on his side, throwing him off the dead alpha.

The last alpha decided to join the fight after watching everyone else getting killed. 49 raised his hand to pull the foot off him when another stepped hard on his hand, digging its heel into it.

Blood pooled under the alpha as the insides became a view to everyone—and 49 had front row seats to it.
When the body fell limp under him, the screaming finally stopped. He moved over the body, his legs shaking with each step. His body wanted something in it as he felt hotter than the sun. Slick flowed more down him, but he did not let it stop him as he grabbed one of the alpha’s shields.
He slowly walked to the last alpha alive, who tried crawling towards him with one leg. The man was slowly bleeding out, barely stopping the blood flow. 49 lifted the shield against him as he got ready to put the man out of his misery.
Stopping towards the man that could no longer lift his sledgehammer, 49 picked up the shield before slamming it against the alpha’s neck, chopping it off.
Once the head rolled off, something compelled 49 to pick it up and show it to the prince that kept catching his eye. But he ignored the instinct like he ignored his heat. He will never lower himself to anyone until the day he dies—especially an alpha.
The crowd wildly cheered as the announcer excitedly spoke. But 49 did not catch any words as he looked at the prince with narrowed eyes and a flustered face.
The flustered face was unintentional since it was getting harder and harder to control his heat. As the announcer finished his monologue, the gate that 49 came from was open.
Instead of moving, 49 watched the prince getting up, walking towards the king as he whispered something. His eyes never slipped away from 49.
King Yvet did not look happy as the prince continued pleading for something until the king gave him. Once a satisfying smirk appeared on the prince’s face, 49 finally looked away.
He turned around, walking back to the Area.
When he left the loud cheering, 49 hit his back against the wall, sliding down to his knees while opening his mouth to breathe better. An expression of want passed through his face as he could smell other alphas before disgust hit him.
He hated his heat so much.
Footsteps made their way towards 49. He fixed his expression as he pushed himself up with the wall’s help. His legs felt like jelly as they wanted to stick to the floor.
Master Wind entered the view, causing 49 to bare his bloody teeth. He did not forget what the man said. If he tries to use him, he will kill the man—damn the consequences.
Clapping his hands with a broad smile, Master Wind looked like someone told him he was a noble. “49, you truly are a moneymaker. Even though I would lose my best fighter, money is more important than anything in this world, and you are surprisingly worth a lot.”
49 looked at the man, wondering what he meant.
And his expression spoke loud as Master Wind gripped his shoulder. 49 stiffened, but he did not move yet.
“Prince Cyn bought you, so why don’t you get yourself pretty for him. Because he is your new owner.” After Master Wind spoke those words, he snapped his fingers as a cleaner appeared.
“Make sure 49 cleans himself well.” He walked off, laughing like the greedy pig he was.
49 watched him go, glaring at the man’s back as the cleaner walked towards him. He turned his glare towards them, causing them to frighteningly stop in their tracks.
He started walking with shaky legs, taking himself to the washing area. He did not react to someone buying him. Long ago, a person tried before, and 49 escaped for a while until the people caught him again.
Turning the water on, 49 leaned forward with a sneer; he would like to see how the prince would try to rail him in because 49 is someone who will never let anyone tame him.
I will never allow anyone to have control over me. He thought as he watched the blood getting pulled into the drain.
Forget his nature—49 is a wild beast ready to bring carnage to anyone who tries to make him submit.
