March 29, 1096
Prince Cyn sat in a high-end room, waiting for someone to appear. He leaned back on the bed, observing his nails before mentioning, “What is wrong, Ghost? You have been silent this whole time.”
“I am always quiet unless you ask me not to be.” Ghost instantly responded. He stood in the corner of the room, leaning against the wall as he looked off into space.
Humming, Prince Cyn set his hand down to glance towards Ghost, “Hmm, not this quiet. Something is bothering you.”
“I am an assassin; nothing bothers me.”
“I find that hard to believe if you remain this silent with me. You know that I am not a stupid man, Ghost. You must have learned something that deals with you somehow. What is it?” Prince Cyn pressed, staring at his assassin, who resembled a statue.
Ghost turned towards him, staring into his eyes across the room, “I learned nothing, Prince Cyn.”
Prince Cyn stared back in silence before laughing hard out of nowhere, lying down on the bed as he stared at the ceiling. “It must be something interesting for you to stare into my eyes and lie to me.” Ghost has never lied to him before, and Prince Cyn could recognize one when he had seen it.
He is built on lies. Just like how his omega would lie to him—he knew Ghost was not telling the truth. But, he will let it pass this time. Ghost has been good to him, following his orders like a good little soldier.
“You know, I don’t care what you do, Ghost. So do what you want. But, do know, you can never leave me until I say so. Understand?” Prince Cyn reminded Ghost.

49 threw the helmet on the floor before sitting on the bed, resting his head in his hands. “I saw something that reminded me of what I truly wanted.”
“And what is that?” Prince Cyn asked, moving closer to 49 but not touching. The unadulterated wrath rolling off the omega turned Prince Cyn on; he wanted to see him use his bloodlust.
49 picked up his head, looking at Prince Cyn with resolved eyes that burned deeper than anything, “To see the House of Night burn down.”
Prince Cyn practically jumped in glee as he wrapped his arms around 49, “Oh my beautiful omega, after we finish here, I will grant your wish. There will be nothing but ashes remaining of the family.”
And that is a promise.
Prince Cyn entered the dining room, present with other royals. King Galot invited the royals who came to the event to have dinner with him and his family. And who is Prince Cyn to reject the invitation?
He is bored since he ordered 49 to create discord within the Espal guards. So, he won’t see his omega for a while. Prince Cyn walked towards a seat with a card of his name near it. He sat down, observing the other royals present.
Princess Anar and Prince Ajit from Crocia territory were here. Prince Cyn was surprised to see Prince Ajit here since his parents defied the national royal rules by letting an omega stay alive and become a prince. His parents should have killed him when he presented as an omega, but they did not, which has caused problems.
Honestly, Prince Cyn did not mind. The more drama and discord, the better the fun is. He winked at Prince Ajit when the omega met his eyes, causing the prince to look down with red ears. Princess Anar glared at him, grabbing her brother’s arm in a protective grip, whispering something to Prince Ajit.
How fun, Prince Cyn laughed to himself.
Then, he moved towards Prince Jevge and Prince Leon from Vastril territory. They looked too strict and stiff for his taste. Prince Cyn wondered what would happen if they loosened up. The brothers didn’t even have a glass of wine near them; Prince Cyn should sneakily change that.
Prince Jevge looked towards him with a venomous glare. God, he did nothing, yet, to these people, and they already hate him. They really should stop looking at him this way because it only fuels his fire instead of extinguishing it.
Lastly, he turned towards King Galot’s family, picking up his drink to cover his smirk. Being a snake himself, Prince Cyn could recognize two-faced people with a single glance. They are worth fucking with.
“Where is Prince Nabu?” Prince Jevge asked, looking towards the missing seat.
“Brother is feeling unwell; sadly, he could not make it.” Princess Yeni responded, sounding concerned.
Interesting. Prince Cyn thought as he saw the twitches on the family’s face at the mention of Prince Nabu. He had discovered a gold mine, dropping right into his lap. Oh Ghost, is that what made you out of sorts? And if so, what is your relationship with Prince Nabu?
A voice cleared its throat, catching everyone’s attention. Everyone turned towards King Galot, “I want to thank you for joining our family for dinner. Please enjoy the food and your stay here. Also, if there is anything to discuss, wait after dinner.” He picked up his cup, causing everyone to do the same as they toasted to the cordial dinner.
Once they finished, the maids came in, setting the food on the table as they started to dig in.
“It is a surprise to see you, Prince Cyn, here. It is your first time, correct? And the rumors have not lied at all; you are beautiful.” Princess Yeni started the conversation, causing others to look towards Prince Cyn.
Prince Cyn bought his glass towards his lips once more, taking a sip. Princess Yeni’s words may sound kind, but she fills them with venom.
What male alpha wants to hear they are beautiful? Male alphas are supposed to be strong and handsome, never alluring like omegas. But, those words did not cut Prince Cyn deep. He had heard them many times before.
“Thank you, Princess Yeni. Sadly beauty is a chore as I am never without a suitor. But, you should understand, right Princess Yeni?” Prince Cyn responded with a sweet smile that showed no hidden knives.
But, like a rose, his thrones were prominent.
Princess Yeni glared at him before fixing her facade with a laugh, starting a conversation with someone else. Ah, if they could not handle him, why start a conversation with him?
Turning towards Prince Ajit and Princess Anar, Prince Cyn felt he needed something to turn the night over. And when Prince Ajit shyly looked up at him, he found his victim for the night.
He gave an alluring smile, causing Prince Ajit to drop the meat off his fork as he watched him. Ah, Prince Cyn lied—beauty is never a chore but a prize.
Well… 49 is already not a big fan of Cyn but i guess his opinion of him will only continue to drop after this banquet… 👀
Ohhh poor omega prince, he’s unfortunate to be prince Cyn target ….. Hope nothing bad happens to him cause he’s kinda cute…
Thanks for the chapters ♥️♥️
