49 awoke on a soft bed, feeling a hand rubbing against his thigh. His eye twitched as he instantly knew the culprit. He kicked out his leg, only for a hand to quickly grab it. “I have already grown used to you kicking me.” Prince Cyn commented.
Since they shared a bed from day one, 49 would wake up with Prince Cyn touching or holding him, causing 49 to kick him off the bed. Now, Prince Cyn has grown used to 49 kicking him, causing him to catch his foot.
Gritting his teeth, 49 harshly slapped Prince Cyn’s side, causing the alpha to let him go. Once he did not feel the prince’s hand on him, 49 stood off the bed, letting the fallen blanket reveal his nude body.

Before he jumped out, Prince Cyn stopped him. 49 felt a touch on his back, wondering how Prince Cyn quickly stood behind him without him knowing or hearing.

He started walking around before returning to Prince Cyn’s side.
This is the first time he did something without having the brand of a slave on him. It is still there, but no one saw it or him that way since he had on the guard outfit. He stopped at other stands, looking at what they were selling; he even bought himself something, using the money he stole from the dead guard.
49 could understand one of the reasons for wanting to escape; doing and buying things like a human felt exhilarating.
As he reached another stand, he paused in his steps as his mood instantly hit rock bottom when he heard a familiar voice.
“Son, you cannot run around like this. Your mother would not be happy if you disappeared.” A voice scolded.
49 quickly turned towards the voice as he clenched his fist. He felt his anger and bloodlust skyrocketing as he peered at his uncle’s face—the man who took everything from him and sold him into slavery.
His uncle’s face reminded him why he shouldn’t let go of his revenge ever again.
“Brother, I will always support you. Father made the right choice by making you the head.” Min’s uncle, Jae, patted his brother’s shoulder.
“Thank you, brother.” Min’s father, Ki, responded as he picked up Min, making his way towards the gardens. Min held onto his father’s shirt with his tiny hands, glancing at his uncle.
Jae followed, smiling at Min as he patted his head, “Brother, if there is anything you need help with, I would love to help lessen the burden. You should spend more time with your child instead of working all the time.” Jae continued to push.
“I am fine; please focus on your family. I am the head of the family, so I shall not falter on my duties or throw them onto you, brother.” Ki countered, running his hand through Min’s hair.
Jae’s facade cracked for a second, showing an annoyed expression filled with hatred that Min had caught. But, Min did not understand the emotions he saw. “If that is what you want.” Then Jae turned around before stopping and saying, “But brother, be careful; not everyone agrees with Father’s choice. I only want the best for you and our family.”
“I will,” Ki responded, not realizing that the main one to watch out for was his brother.
