The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish [Transmigration]Chapter 55

Li Yu charged out of the room. He knew that as a Wang of ancient times and the tyrant protagonist, Jing-wang must be very cunning. However, Li Yu couldn’t tolerate the fact that his chest full of concern was placed completely on the other’s pretense– and it was a show that was enacted purposely for him to see.

Heaven knows how much he hated being deceived the last few days. His opposing heart was like a barrel of gunpowder, instantly lighting up and exploding. 6poKPa

Wang-gonggong and a group of servants were standing in waiting outside. Seeing Li Yu come out, he said in surprise: “Li-gongzi!”

Li Yu moved his mouth, but didn’t know what to say to Wang Xi. Simply ignoring him, he turned around and ran off to the garden behind the fake mountain.

Wang-gonggong hastily ordered people to follow him. Jing-wang came up from behind and shook his head at Wang Xi.

Wang Xi understood. This meant that he wasn’t supposed to get involved here. 09DIf8

Jing-wang walked over himself to chase after Li Yu. Wang Xi was afraid that Li-gongzi would run out later. His highness didn’t allow him to give chase. It should be fine if he had people guard the garden’s perimeter, right?

This garden actually wasn’t very big. Jing-wang very quickly found Li Yu who was standing in a daze in the middle of a pavilion.

Jing-wang didn’t know why the carp demon got angry again. Ye QingHuan wanted him to learn how to make people happy, but he seemed to be making many mistakes at every turn. He really didn’t understand at all. Being unable to speak also made it extremely inconvenient for him to express anything.

Jing-wang held a piece of paper tightly in his hand. Originally he wanted to give it to Li Yu, but Li Yu mistakenly thought Jing-wang was trying to grab him. Jing-wang can only smile miserably.

04FBES

Li Yu had a feeling that if he was grabbed now, it wouldn’t be easy to escape again.

Plus, he was still in a dispute with Jing-wang right now and didn’t want to see this person. Even more so, he didn’t want to discuss like and dislike with Jing-wang. He changed only to save Jing-wang; he had no choice. Since Jing-wang didn’t need his help at all, naturally he wanted to disappear from Jing-wang’s sight as quickly as possible.

Remember that Jing-wang built the big fish pond and connected all of the water reservoirs in the estate. Under this pavilion, there was also a pond. If he could enter the water, he should be able to swim somewhere else immediately and leave Jing-wang behind.

Li Yu made his decision. When Jing-wang entered the pavilion, Li Yu yelled loudly: “Stop chasing me!” oKs Vd

Jing-wang hesitated for a moment and then nodded his head. He even took a step backwards to express his sincerity.

While he was backing up, Li Yu turned his back to Jing-wang, climbed over the pavilion railings and jumped into the pond below.

When he was still human, he didn’t actually know how to swim. After transmigrating as a fish, his swimming skills lit up by itself and even his human form gained the ability to swim. He just rarely had the chance to swim around as a human before.

However, he didn’t plan to wander around aimlessly anyways. He only wanted to hide underwater and hold out until he turned back into a fish. This was the price of impulsively changing forms. Hiding in human form was still much safer than running around randomly. However, as he suddenly encountered the water in the pond, Li Yu felt waves of coldness seeping into his body, making him shiver several times. He did his best to get used to the bottom of the water in human form. OT4FyZ

Jing-wang never imagined that Xiao Yu would do this. He was just wondering what Xiao Yu was up to; Li Yu already jumped out of the pavilion and into the bottom of the pond.

Pupils contracting, Jing-wang subconsciously gave chase. However, he only grabbed air. He noticed the shadowy figure moving underwater. Xiao Yu must be swimming away using the passage between ponds.

Jing-wang knew that his swimming skills definitely couldn’t compare to the carp demon. Even if he went into the water, he might not catch up. All of the water inside the estate was connected. Judging from the direction that the carp demon swam towards, he made a general prediction as to where Xiao Yu planned to go. In other words, he just needed to reach the next pond or lake ahead of time to stop Xiao Yu.

Jing-wang exited the pavilion without hesitation and directly dashed off towards the place where Li Yu might appear! YqRjAI

However, even after waiting at that place for a long time, Xiao Yu still didn’t appear. Jing-wang finally realized that the carp demon slipped away again.

Wang Xi came over, asking him about the whereabouts of Li-gongzi. Pale faced, Jing-wang shook his head. Xiao Yu can’t maintain human form for too long. He couldn’t make all of the servants go into the water to find Xiao Yu. The less people knowing the carp demon’s identity, the better.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

This pond that he built was extremely big, but fortunately it was not connected to the outside, only connecting the different water areas inside the estate. There were also guards standing in place on land. In the water, at least Xiao Yu was safe. It was also not possible for him to leave the estate.

Jing-wang ordered people to watch the surface of the water everywhere while he returned back to the outside of his residence. He stayed at the place where he’d often play with Xiao Yu next to the pond, thinking perhaps after Xiao Yu swam enough underwater, he’d swim back out on his own? djQG3w

Jing-wang waited for two hours. He still didn’t see Xiao Yu re-appearing.

Li Yu entered the water. His human form couldn’t breathe underwater easily like a fish. Therefore, Li Yu didn’t swim very quickly. After transmigrating into a fish, he recognized a lot of the plants underwater. He found a hollowed reed and broke it off with his hands. If he needed to breathe, he’d just extend this plant to the surface and take a secret breath.

He guessed that Jing-wang would go to the next pond to wait for him. Li Yu played a trick. When he reached the pond, he didn’t actually reveal himself. Instead, he hid in a hard to find place and waited. Even after Jing-wang thought he had really disappeared and left in order to find him, Li Yu still never showed his face out of the water.

He hid in the water until he turned back into fish and stored the fallen clothes back into his interdimensional space. Then, he started to swim around freely. Because of his current body color, he’d be easily discovered if he got near the surface. Li Yu purposely only swam in the deep parts of the water. NF AI2

This was… the gift that Jing-wang gave fish. And he was only trying to take out his anger on it.

Li Yu huffed coldly and examined the underwater city with an indifferent glance. Unable to find a good place to hit with his tail, he turned his head and swam towards the house at the end of the pond. Or3Ggb

This was built according to the appearance of Jing-wang’s residence. Jing-wang’s jade figure and the fish-shaped stone that he placed were both still there. When Li Yu came down to play in the pond before, he’d always come over and pull off the moss on the jade figure and stone. Now he was not in the mood to do such cleaning.

Li Yu angrily swam over, nudging Jing-wang’s jade figure with his fish mouth until it staggered. He can’t use his tail to smack the jade figure Jing-wang. If it broke, it can’t be played with again.

Li Yu nudged it several times in succession. The jade figure of Jing-wang tottered before finally falling over. Next, Li Yu moved his fish body completely and sat on the jade figure, like he was crushing Jing-wang.

Jing-wang, you big scoundrel ahhhhh! B5Uwvr

He went to save Jing-wang out of the goodness of his heart. Yet it was all to trick him.

Li Yu angrily curled up in a ball. The fish shaped stone was just to the side. Li Yu moved the stone over and placed it on his back.

Messing around for a while, fish was somewhat tired. He laid on the jade figure and fell asleep.

With this sleep, his body almost felt light and floaty. hrsdDO

Not knowing how long has passed, Li Yu faintly heard the sound of people? Why would there be people underwater?

In a daze, Li Yu wanted to see who came. However, even after struggling a few times, he still didn’t manage to wake up.

Because he had been sleeping at the bottom of the pond all this time, outside Jing-wang was unable to see Xiao Yu come out of the water and became extremely anxious.

Jing-wang decided to get in the water and take a look. Wang Xi made quite the effort persuading him otherwise. The pond was extremely big. Maybe there will be danger. Jing-wang’s eye expression indicated: Move to the side. V0jlvE

Seeing that his highness already made his decision, Wang Xi stepped back and begged Jing-wang to bring some good swimmers to enter the water together with him.

Jing-wang also shook his head and refused. Xiao Yu was underwater, the situation unknown. With others, Xiao Yu’s identity might be exposed.

Going alone by himself was the most appropriate. Jing-wang himself also knew how to swim. Switching into a set of clothing fit for swimming, he headed down.

The imperial guards have already watched the surface for a long time without seeing Xiao Yu. This indicated that Xiao Yu had been underwater this entire time. 3qOfXL

Jing-wang searched through every single landscape underwater. Several times when he ran out of breath, he had to return to the surface for a break. Not long afterwards, he’d dive down again.

Jing-wang pretty much searched everywhere underwater. When he arrived at the little house at the end of the pond, he surprisingly saw his fish, curled up in a ball.

Jing-wang felt his heart tug. He moved forward to touch the fish on the head. The fish didn’t move.

Jing-wang carefully picked up the fish. The fish remained without any consciousness. Something rolled out from under the fish’s body. Jing-wang looked. It was his jade figure. BS5I6i

Jing-wang: “……”

Jing-wang figured that the carp demon went into a “meditative state” again. At least he avoided facing a fish that stubbornly refused to leave.

Jing-wang thought for a moment, opened the lapel to his clothes and wrapped the fish against his chest. Then he swam towards the surface of the water.

“Your highness, your highness, what happened?” Wang Xi rushed over. When he discovered the fish in Jing-wang’s arms, Wang-gonggong’s head felt dizzy for one second. Wasn’t Master Fish inside the house’s fish tank or something? Wasn’t his highness searching for Li-goingzi? Why… would he find Master fish? 0nOSja

Jing-wang gave him a warning glance, forbidding him from questioning.

Wang Xi did his best to think carefully and said probingly: “Did…… this old servant make a mistake from the start? Master Xiao Yu was playing around too much and entered the pond. You went down originally to find Master Xiao Yu, not Li-gongzi?”

Jing-wang nodded his head without any sense of guilt.

So it’s like this. Wang Xi immediately accepted it. He was just saying how can Li-gongzi stay underwater all this time and not come out? So he was the one who made a mistake. His highness was looking for Master Xiao Yu. As for Li-gongzi, he must have left a long time ago. pQjPuL

Wang Xi followed Jing-wang closely into his room. Jing-wang swiftly moved the fish pillow inside the fish tank to the side and moved the little carp onto the silver stone bed.

Wang Xi: “……”

Please support our translators at chrysanthemumgarden (dot) com

Wang Xi just found out that the fish inside the fish tank this whole time was fake. Wang-gonggong wiped the sweat on his forehead and secretly felt ashamed. His highness must have placed this fake here purposely to trick Chu YanYu and protect Master Fish. How come he never thought about it?

Master fish must have been placed inside the pond beforehand. That’s why his highness needed to find fish– didn’t everything match up perfectly now? Z4TD2V

Wang Xi wanted to help Jing-wang change clothes, but Jing-wang was staring at fish anxiously. He waved his hand. Wang Xi could only bring over a dry towel. Jing-wang randomly wiped away the water drops on his body, but fish still didn’t “wake up.”

Before when he “meditated,” Xiao Yu would recover after an hour at most. However, ever since Jing-wang carried him back, he’s been laying there unmoving.

Jing-wang sensed that something didn’t seem right and ordered the servants experienced with raising fish to come look. However, the servants couldn’t figure anything out this time either and can only say the same as before, that the fish was sleeping.

— since it was the same, then why won’t he wake up? wyYjdR

Jing-wang didn’t actually believe these words and ordered Wang Xi to invite imperial physician Xu. Imperial Physician Xu only raised a lot of koi in his house. He normally didn’t treat fish. After being stared at by Jing-wang for a while, he also couldn’t figure out what the problem was.

Jing-wang really started to panic. Only he knew this was a carp demon. Not “waking” after all this time, did Xiao Yu encounter some kind of difficulty in his cultivation?

Jing-wang decided to take the fish to find Liao Kong. When Wang Xi learned of this, he hastily advised against it: “Your highness, please reconsider. Very few people know about your relationship with Master Liao Kong. If you privately bring Master Xiao Yu to find the honorable master…….”

You will most likely be noticed by the Emperor. nw9efd

If Liao Kong had any connections to any of the princes, the Emperor would lose his trust in Liao Kong. He might even start suspecting Liao Kong’s previous words.

Of course Jing-wang understood this. However, saving the fish was important, he couldn’t do anything about it.

Liao Kong had some medical skills and also knew the fish’s identity. Other people probably won’t be much help.

Therefore, even if it raised the Emperor’s suspicion, he still had to go. Xiao Yu saved him in his youth. Even if he gambled his life for Xiao Yu, it’s worth it! uIAH4z

However, Wang Xi’s words were also worth considering.

Jing-wang wrote: “Help me send a request to the Imperial Palace. Say, fish is sick. I want to bring fish to find Liao Kong.”

Wang Xi’s eyes lit up. If they could obtain the Emperor’s permission up front, then there’s nothing to worry about.

Wang Xi immediately ordered servants over and tidied up the luggage to bring with Jing-wang when entering the palace. Jing-wang placed Xiao Yu into the crystal bottle himself and then lifted his sleeve to write the request. It was already deep into the night. Jing-wang was still going to enter the imperial palace. Inside the palace, he also needed to send someone to deliver this request. sNJeBV

For a moment, everyone was running around all over. This activity and noise finally woke Li Yu up– it’s more correct to say that Li Yu actually heard it several times already, but no matter what, he just couldn’t wake up.

This time he used all of his strength and finally managed to squeeze open his eyes. He found himself actually inside the crystal bottle.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

His body hurt a lot. Li Yu also didn’t know what was wrong with himself. He couldn’t even move his tail.

Li Yu thought the system definitely knew his situation and attempted to summon the system mentally. OdAJq5

Last time he fought with the System. Who knows if System will answer. But clearly, his current state was not very right.

System immediately said: “Hello, host. You’re sick right now.”

Li Yu: ???

Li Yu finally realized. So the pain all over his body and the lack of strength was because he was sick. A fish getting sick was pretty much the same as a person, right? I14eHZ

System corrected him: “You’re sick because you stayed in the water for too long in human form and froze.”

Li Yu: “……”

Then what should he do? If he was sick…… did the system deal with treating illnesses?!

System said seriously: “Cute pet system only deals with giving missions, not treating illnesses. Host, your current situation is dire. If you can, please quickly change into a human and plead for help.” heqAV

Li Yu: “…….”

Li Yu also realized the seriousness of the situation. The shitty system has never actively requested for him to change into a human before. Was he really very sick this time?

Actually from how he couldn’t wake up after several tries, along with the feeble feeling of his body, Li Yu can pretty much guess the answer.

Moreover, the system ordered him to change into a human. Li Yu was slightly startled. Was it already the next day? vWiQfd

Li Yu looked around all over. Jing-wang needed to change clothes in order to head into the Imperial Palace. Wang-gonggong was busy following him and serving him. The room temporarily was empty. The cover of the crystal bottle was not closed. This was a perfect opportunity!

Grinding his teeth, Li Yu swam to the opening of the crystal bottle and rolled himself out with difficulty.

He was already unable to stand the extra pain. He pressed the scale weakly with his fish fin and transformed.

The moment he changed into a human, he realized that he felt even worse than when he was a fish. He was cold all over, teeth clattering nonstop. RbHumr

His fish form seemed to have been able to block some of his body’s discomfort, but it was unable to help him treat his illness. Meanwhile, after changing into a human, all of the discomfort came rushing back. However, only by changing into a human can he take the right measures to treat his illness.

Li Yu used the last of his strength to take out clothes from the interdimensional space and throw it over himself. He needed to ask for help, but from who?

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

On Jing-wang’s side, he swiftly changed clothes. The request for entering the imperial palace has been written. Jing-wang planned to rush directly to Guardian Temple as soon as the Emperor approved, not caring at all that it was already late at night.

When he pushed open the door to grab the crystal bottle, he immediately saw someone fallen on the floor, completely wet all over. 3AIkPG

This was…… Xiao Yu!!

Jing-wang recognized Li Yu and hastily stepped forth to take the other into his arms. Unintentionally, he touched Li Yu’s arm and discovered that the other was extremely scalding to touch.

Li Yu leaned against Jing-wang. He had been pissed off at Jing-wang all this time, not wanting to see this person. However, when he couldn’t wake up, he heard Wang-gonggong trying to persuade Jing-wang many times, saying that all of the servants, as well as the imperial physician, said that fish was fine.

Jing-wang was the only one insisting that Li Yu was sick; he even wanted to bring fish to find Liao Kong. K7Qn L

Li Yu knew all of this, including how Jing-wang dove in the water to find him, how he carried Li Yu in his arms and brought him out. He was able to hear the strong and sturdy heartbeat coming from the chest that he was pressed against. Even when he couldn’t wake up, it accompanied him in his dreams, making fish feel calm and at ease.

“Your highness, I… I feel terrible……”

Voice hoarse, Li Yu spoke in a sobbing tone. The illness and the grievances that he felt in the last few days… in a split second, he no longer cared about any of it.

Hearing this, Jing-wang promptly hugged him and picked him up in distress. Raising his leg, he kicked the door open. SrsQcP

He knew Xiao Yu was having a fever. He anxiously wanted to summon someone, but no matter what, he couldn’t make a sound. He could only cough from the strain. Jing-wang was in such panic that his forehead was covered with sweat.

“Your highness!” Wang Xi finally heard the activity and rushed over.

Since Xiao Yu changed into a human, the imperial physician can treat him. Jing-wang indicated Wang Xi to clear the path while he carried Xiao Yu personally to find the imperial physician.

  1. No but I feel so wronged for Jing-wang. From the start of this chapter until the end, my heart aches for Jing-wang. Call me dramatic, but there’s even a few drops of tears as I finished reading the chapter AAAAHHH SO TERRIBLE .·´¯(>▂<)´¯·.

  2. I used to love lin yu but i can’t help but dislike him in the recent chapters…he’s so self-centred…

He’s mad cause he’s being decieved but hasn’t he been doing that all along? I get he’s forced to to keep his life but that also means he has no right to get mad at JW for doing the same (what a hypocrite lol)…

Worst of all and what rlly pissed me of is him always running away? Like are u a child (he’s 18, an adult perfectly capable of communicating), JW alr has a hard time communicating but he doesn’t give him a chance to explain at all and always assumes the worst….honestly can’t stand LY anymore 🙄

    • xD You’re not the only one. This arc was kind of strange, but fortunately it’s over pretty quickly! Maybe it’s to show that Li Yu is not perfect and sometimes he can overreact, be a bit self-centered and emotional. xD

    • Li Yu wanting to hide that he’s a fish that can turn human was more reasonable than what Jing Wang did to him. If you’re a normal person you will also choose to not expose that secret. He thought that if JW learned about his secret, JW will hurt him which is reasonable after all JW is a tyrant! If I was Li Yu I would also think the same way, JW might be nice to me when I was a fish but who knows what his reaction will be if he knew I can change into a human? Honestly, speaking if JW is normal(mentally) the most realistic reaction will be shock and afraid. So I don’t blame Li Yu for thinking like that, like who’s a normal person that would think that JW was the type to not care about what creature you are as long as he fancy and love you? Even though Li Yu know that JW is like a different person when he’s in love because he read the novel, the shou in that novel is a human while LY is not completely a human at all.

Now, compare that with what Jing Wang did😒 add the fact that he kinda sexually harrased Li Yu before and Li Yu who didn’t have any romantic feelings at that moment got angry which was a normal reaction. JW only treated him kindly but he did not confess so LY didn’t know he have romantic feelings for him. And after that he get so angry to the point that he’s willing to starve himself for two days. You might call this overreacting but as someone who already experience sexual harrasment two times, for me it’s not OA at all and he trusted JW so what he felt might be worse than what I felt because the guy who did that to me was a stranger but LW knew JW and trusted him but JW did that😔. And when the shou protagonist intended to do malicious things to JW, even though he was angry he still decided to help JW because he cared deeply for him yet JW deceived him…. His anger that didn’t dissipate completely started to rise again and got angrier even more because JW tricked him.

But I can’t completely blame Jing Wang because he didn’t understand Li Yu’s reaction to everything which shows that he have low EQ, he can’t understand human emotion that much.

    • I read the chapter after this one and LY thinks that he was excessive but personally I don’t think he’s not. All the reaction and feelings he felt and showed were all reasonable. Honestly I feel that he’s so easy and I thought that he was also gonna be the same as other shou protagonist that will let other people or other existence that kinda force him into this kind of situation, be swayed along. It’s like, he will just kinda let things be because he cannot do anything, I kinda hated that honestly. They were forced to do things that they didn’t want to or were kinda forced to be with the ML just because the ML liked them(it sometimes felt like they just convinced or forced themselves to think and feel that they also love the ML).

But clearly, LY is not the same as them…. He said that he didn’t want to have feelings for JW just because he was forced into this situation in the previous chapters. He didn’t also disregard or denied JW’s feelings for him as the other shou protagonist did, instead, he thought things seriouslyy.

Even though he’s foolish sometimes, he’s not the type that will hurt you mentally or physically without any reason. He’s the kind of person that will consider his and your feelings in every situation. I like that he showed this side of his cause it just shows that he’s capable to show you when he’s feeling angry and not just some push over. He didn’t yield immediately when he saw JW worrying about him, but other MC shou would already be defeated by the ML’s cuteness which lead to the MLs using the “act cute” strategy everytime they did something wrong, and the shou MCsat will always forgive them😐. They were just taken advantage repeatedly.

And honestly, I’m one of those people who always thought that you have the right to hide something personal and will just tell other people your secret when you felt that it is safe to tell the others. Just because you love that person you can tell them immediately all the secrets you have? What if he used that secret of yours against you or did other malicious things because they know your secret when you finally discovered that you cannot trust them completely? I think this issue should only be applied to married couple because for me when you are already married then your husband/wife will be your partner, you will live the rest if your life together with them, most of your decisions will also not be made by yourself only. But LY and JW isn’t married yet! They were not even dating!

  3. a lot of readers also comment on li yu’s strange behaviour in this arc, that he is indeed too hypocritical and self centered. but the only thing i could think of was he was really too spoiled at this point, so even though he knew his boundaries and refuse to be taken advantage of, he was subconsciously used of Jing Wan always tolerating him. He knew no matter how much he shows resentment, Jing Wang would never give up on him. I dont agree with what he’s doing now and it only shows he was never really a perfect fish and person to begin with.

    • I really think it’s time for Jing-wang to let Li Yu face the consequences of his own actions, otherwise he’ll just keep up with this behaviour because he takes Jing-wang’s affection and care for granted.

  4. I hope that this two could communicate not by relationship but for actually commit too fix there misunderstandings of one another since I’m over here literally frustrated, amuse, and literally laughing like a emotional rollercoaster,

And Wang Xi I pity him rn trying to do something to ensure Jing-Wang but also love how he still stays loyal and trying to understand what’s happening, proud claps for him 👏

    👏👏👏

  5. It’s funny how all the commenters suddenly forget how LY acknowledged the ML feelings but he couldn’t accept them cuz he didn’t want to accept something that was because of the circumstances made by the system, plus he is allowed to be angry and upset and if you think that’s overreacting you don’t know how to understand someone

    • The tasks were given by the system, but Li Yu’s decisions (which affected Jing-wang’s actions) are his own responsibility. The System didn’t tell him his choices will affect the subsequent tasks but he even admitted that he’d do the same thing anyway even if his memory is erased. Doesn’t this mean Jing-wang liked him because of his own actions? I don’t really get his thought process but that’s how I understood it lol

As for whether he’s overreacting or not: I think he’s rightfully upset about his current circumstances though that doesn’t mean he’s entirely faultless

  6. AAAAAHHHH I LOVE THR PANIC AND THE PAINNN don’t you just love it when they genuinely show their true feelings in the midst of trials!?!?!?!? i love them so much!!

  7. With everything that’s happening I just remembered that Jing-wang taking Li Yu out of the water is parallel to Fish saving Jing-wang when he was 2-3 years old. I still love them a lot ;-;
