When my blurry sight became clear, the glass ceiling above my head came into view, followed by Sakarol’s enlarged face and the eyes that were gazing inquiringly at me behind a pair of golden glasses.
“Hey Mr.Desharow, have you been doing well?”
“I…” I consciously came to realize that I was still in the underwater laboratory, and used my numb arm to prop myself up. Immediately my eyes irresistibly turned towards the large, circular water reservoir not far behind Sakarol. Agares was staring perpetually at me behind the glass wall with a grin plastered on his face.
My entire body felt numb and powerless, unable to move a single inch. Two days of terrible trauma had flooded into my brain. Nothing but buzzing and rushing sounds were heard in my brain, my entire body trembled a couple of times, nearly causing me to fall from the bed.
Sakarol grabbed my arm at once. “Hey, Mr. Desharow, are you okay? Do you want me to call in a doctor? Your face is very pale and it seems like your blood sugar is very low. Could it be that you didn’t eat? “
“No, don’t call for a doctor! I indeed did not eat a lot, but that’s because… because I’ve been so absorbed in my research.” I held my throbbing forehead as I wiped away the cold sweat that was on my face. I randomly said some nonsense words, feeling my own cheek heating up from this embarrassing lie.

I curled my hand into a fist as I shouted angrily with shame in my heart. I almost wanted to rush over there and smash the glass along with Agares to pieces at the same time.

I quickly weaved together an excuse in my mind, “…Dr. Sakarol, because of some family problems, I have to go back to Moscow immediately. I already reserved a flight ticket online, I have to leave tonight.”
I carelessly made something up because I didn’t want to stay here for another minute, I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. When I thought of the dream just now, my scalp began to tingle as adrenaline shot up inside me. The fear clearly still prevailed in my mind despite the fact that it was just ridiculous dream, furthermore, Agares’s evolution into a human completely went against the studies of biology.

There had been many strange signs that I should have taken notice before! It’s because I was too naive, too stupid! My mind slowly came out of the shock and confusion, and my eyes immediately dampened so much so that I didn’t dare to turn around and face Sakarol, I felt like a little naked red creature being completely violated and humiliated by others.

My fingers clung to the handrail of the stairway as blue tendons on the back of my hands protruded ready to burst. All my blood rushed to my brain, I imagined killing Sakarol secretly right here, right now, but at once, I became shocked and scared by my own thoughts, how could I have such an inhumane urge!
It turned out that humans can all be a cruel and scary creature when greatly stimulated.
However, an urge was only an urge, I can’t do it and will never do it.
“Scoundrels… you people… I’m leaving, I’ll be leaving tonight. I absolutely will not be threatened by you disgusting people!”
