Elizabeth’s (She prefers Liz really, Elizabeth sounds kind of pretentious to her) day didn’t begin that well.
First she found out that she had been transmigrated into another girl’s life (Though she has something called a ‘World System’ in her head now, trying to guide her through her new life). Then the original’s parents were aggressive in their distaste of her trying out a public school (And the stark contrast of those from her own very supportive parents in her previous life). She almost gets lost on her way to school (Thankfully the World System helped her). She tripped over another student right outside the school gates in front of all the student bodies (Oh gosh—). And before she could go to classes, all her books spilled out of her bag when she opened it to grab her things and put them in her locker.
Classes themselves were pretty uneventful though. It was a bit nerve-wracking not having anyone to talk to or converse with throughout classes.
“You must be at the cafeteria in approximately 10 minutes for an Encounter.” The World System said in her head.
“Encounter?” she asks.
“Encounters are scenes that need to happen to progress the plotline.”
“Huh, okay.”
She slowly made her way towards the cafeteria with the crowd of students around her.
She caught the gaze of one of the students of the school who just furrowed his eyebrow before looking away again.
…welp, there goes her one chance of making an acquaintance.

Zhang Ming didn’t really mean to stare at the female lead for too long, but a sudden headache hit him when their eyes connected.
He brushes it off with a ruffle of his honey blonde hair that he got from his mom until it pops up once again when he contemplates trying to find somewhere to sit with other people.
“Warning. Do not proceed or punishments will be given. Actors cannot act out of character.” A voice boomed with the accompanying headache.
“What…?” He asks out loud once the headache slowly fades.

“Why you…” Zhang Ming stopped himself from gritting his teeth. “What are you anyways?”
“I am the World System. The consciousness of this world, here to make sure that the storyline will progress smoothly.”
“…the Female Lead’s System?”
“Precisely.”
“If you’re Elizabeth’s System, then why are you in my head?” Zhang Ming says once he finally finds an empty table by the back of the cafeteria.
“I must make sure that all Actors will proceed with Encounters. But I am only allowed to help the Female Lead.”
“You said ‘Actors’ before too. What do you mean by that? And why can’t I get help like she does?” He grumbles in his head.
“Actors. Lives from another world inserted into the World Database to act out the world’s plotline. You cannot receive help because you will not be needing it.”
“Who’s to say I won’t need it?”
“The world.”

Elizabeth let out a little sigh of relief, finally sitting down and eating her food.
Silence went through the table as the Female Lead awkwardly continued eating with the ever so silent Reke.
“Uhmm, my name’s Elizabeth. But I prefer Liz. What’s your name?” she finally piped up once she noticed the two of them finished eating.
“Reke.” was the short answer.
“It’s nice to meet you!” Elizabeth said excitedly. She finally made a sort of friend!
Reke only nodded in response with a straight face.
“Don’t be discouraged. This character is well known for not showing much emotion. He isn’t mean or cold, however it would be surprising for him to show much emotion aside from indifference.”
“Ahh, I see. Alright then.”
“What classes do you have later?” she pried hesitantly.
“Chemistry, then Psychology.”
“I have Chemistry too, though not Psychology. Is it interesting?”
Reke nodded, “I guess it depends on the person’s own interests.”
Elizabeth nodded back in understanding, “That’s true. It isn’t really my cup of tea honestly.”

Meanwhile Zhang Ming almost raised an eyebrow when the Female Lead finally coaxed the indifferent Second Male Lead to a conversation.
