  14. nglll im a bit confused on why they were acting like drawing… squares.. (??) in perspective was all that.. but uhmm ok ig? idk man it felt so weird that the author was empathizing on how cool he was for doing stuff we learned to do in elementary 😭😭

    • I think maybe 2 reasons? One, to show how big a newbie to Western art the MC is… Two, maybe to explain perspective and how to learn it? Unfortunately, not everyone learns perspective in school, because art classes aren’t always available or part of the curriculum…

      • i get explaining what perspective is and how it works but the whole “he drew such a good square” doesnt rlly… add anything to the explanation the author gave? i didnt say anything abt the author explaining what perspective is either.

        it felt more like the author was trying to express how much of a genius the mc was but they used the wrong thing to. then again that’s my opinion and experience.

        • Could be? The MC being OP and shocking people is a bit of a theme in the story… some of this awe is from the perspective of their new friend who appears to be really lacking in drawing skills, so his POV would be exaggerated… the teacher being so shocked is perhaps a bit overdone, I would agree.

    • Yeah me too. Maybe it’s just because of the fact that where I live it seemed like every year I did art until I got to highschool they re-taught perspective as if it was a new revolutionary technique but it just got really old. So to me it seems very very simple.
