      his skill in painting and calligraphy and how easy he wins rewards with his
      skill, walking away and ignoring them is a slap in a face, especially since this
      is so called family phew on them, too.

        • I’m talking about future. The more successful he gets, the more painful his ignoring will become to his family, since if the way they treat Lele and MC, is clear that in their eyes their love depends on pubic perceptions of their family members. I hope that makes sense. I do agree though, they deserve worse punishment than that.

        • They have this weird personal sistem of values that is so dependant on perception of their social circle and public opinion. But I think this is what in the end will turn against them the most.

    Almost every chapter so far that I’ve read in which they are present.. they make me look down on them more and more and more. Surnamed Qiao is much better..he was able to help his nephew of buying things that are not really that expensive. That book Linqing wanted before only cost 599 + shipping.
