  6. I, the same like Qi Linqing, feel pity for the original owner. This naïve country pumpkin had been tossed into this environment of unwritten rules and judging eyes, yet, none of his family thought of helping him and teaching him about the world in which he found himself. As the commenter in one of the previous chapters said, the children of the rich are taught how to behave and act and what to be careful about from birth. But these people just left him to him own devices, judging his actions from the distance, never offering him a helping hand and guidance. No wonder, since he had nobody to support him, just people attacking him, he decided that death was a better opinion.

    One small note. Do you mind switching “colored eyes” to something else? Such as “jealous eyes” if that’s the closest meaning. Using “colored” like that has a negative racial meaning in the US.

  23. The ending of original owner was really pitiful, i just hope he actually got better life next time. The fact that a boy who just saw hope after finding his original family, trying to fit in by copying their spending of money, thinking he might have a chance with his crush now, only to be trashed by everyone and sent to even more unfamiliar environment full of strangers. Even thinking abou his mindset made my heart ache, i know it’s fictional but there really are parents out there who took their child for granted.

  30. Apparently bleached hair REALLY doesn’t suit him. Also, that barber 100% lied to him. Dyeing your hair darker is significantly gentler on your hair compared to going lighter. At the very least, they should have toned his hair to an ash blond instead, as that wouldn’t be nearly so shocking.
