  18. That was certainly… an ending. Romantic but as another commenter said previously, missing a scene or two that would help tie it up (a chapter or two, really in this case.)

    Even if their guts are green with regret, the Qis are still way too well off for my liking. The servants could gossip about Qi Lele, but we couldn’t get some side comments from two-faced outsiders talking about how the Qis’ famous son didn’t come home for the holidays?? They just get praises everywhere?? Nah I’m not satisfied. Screw em.

    • Thst would require the netizen’s to know of mcs escapades and he keeps as much as he can to himself. I dont think much bad needed to happen to the Wis or qi lele for that matter. They just learned in a hardish way not to treat everyone with contempt. Qi lele may not be an all amazing actor like the novel but hes still alive and free with opportunities for the future unlike of mc. And the qi family cant really benefit from mcs amazingness. Some ppl might call n congratulate then superficially for his achievements but what else do they get if mc himself will have little to nothing to do with them.
