  1. You’re correct about the ‘rules’ on spelling out numbers, but I do often write out numbers of any quantity, if they’re the only number in the text. However, since this chapter had a lot of them, and they refer to quantities of time, using numerals is a good idea, whether it follows the rules or not, imo. It reads naturally the way you’ve done itP.S. there are a couple typos at the start of the chapter. I’m guessing the coach should say ‘relax, don’t feel under pressure’ and the next sentence should be ‘best out of five’ rather than best out of give.

    • Writing out the number does look prettier ngl. Thank you for catching my mistakes, I corrected them.

      • I suppose it’s just jarring to read text and out it of no where theres a 2 instead of a two. We are already reading words so may as well keep it all as words.

  2. I just started reading this novel and finished it within 24 hours! Amazing, right? It’s because the story and translation is good that I persevered in reading it. I will be in the comment section from now on! (っ´▽`)っ

Thank you for the update <3

  3. If they’re in quantities of time, I also think it’s easier on the eyes to use MM:SS format. In fact, the in game timer uses the number format!

  4. If I’m writing research for publication (as required of all professors), I do need to spell out the numbers because that’s academic writing. But if you’re translating a novel, you’re right. Actual numbers are easier on the eyes.
