Besides that, there’s also three BL novels that I’d like to recommend which gave me inspiration for YAMP. You may have already read them since two of them are on this site. First is Tattoo translated by JP. Tattoo tells the story of two men in their thirties finding a stable relationship with each other and it was my first experience with a calm slice of life BL. There wasn’t any crazy transmigration, rebirth, or angst yet somehow the warm moments of sweetness and bonding wrapped up in a realistic story kept me glued to the pages.
Second is Agreement of Being Gay for 30 Days translated by ikigainovels and fakeluff. I really appreciated the comedy and cute moments in this novel which was also set in the lives of two college students. My inspiration for Cao Cao also came from here (they raise a plant too!)
Finally, I’d like to mention Green Plum Island, translated by Ghost Bird. It’s an absolutely adorable story (also in first person) involving an eighteen year old boy and his first love with an older man. I adore first person POV and I adore cuteness balanced by just the right amount of seriousness and real life troubles so this was definitely my cup of tea, plus the side characters are awesome (especially the grandpa!)
And after that little (maybe more than little) spiel, without further ado I present “I’ll Be Your Eyes”!
I have been wanting to watch it for so loooongg. Since the time it was released! What to do? The prime in my country does not have it! I wanna go back to India 😭
