(There is an expression “米已成炊” (rice is cooked) It describes “既成事實” (a realized fact).When raw rice is cooked, it cannot be changed back to raw again. Old Chinese thinking considered marriage is permanent, must be treated with caution. If a man and a woman get married/have carnal connection, it is like raw rice boiled to be cooked rice– It is permanent, cannot be undone. The only option is to eat it, meaning accept it. This quote is not the same as the original Chinese one, just borrowed the concept of “marriage/physical relationship is like cooked rice”. In the past, if a man and a woman had sex, they had no choice but to get marry. “米已成炊” can also describe this fact.)

Translator's Note

(Xuan Jian means R.I.P. Old Chinese thinking that if a man and a woman had sex but they had not get married, or their relationship was not accepted/known by the Elders of the woman’s family, the woman was assaulted by the man. That’s why MTL and Taishi are so nervous. Meanwhile, in Xuan Jian’s opinion, Great-grandpa must be angry about QT&MTL’s “affair” and would beat MTL to death when he wakes up, so it lights a piece of candle for MTL.)

    While I’m very sad that it ended, I’m also very glad about the ending. I like how the higher world/realm in this cultivation genre isn’t like the others with more challenges and power struggles but is actually a place where everyone is content even the cultivators with the ideals of getting stronger. One thing I wanted that could not have is Tongtong’s and Tianliao’s little tiger/sappling ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ I wish there was a small pragraph for that…
