Fei Qianchi successfully bought the Feng Jade at a price of seven million gold taels. The price was truly high, but for this type of material, it was worth it. Fei Qianchi didn’t mind the money, he could make more. Anyway, he was now an immortal.

As the two entered and took a seat on the chair, Fei Qianchi beckoned for a servant.
A young boy rushed towards as he saw them. “Two sires, what can I get for you?”
Fei Qianchi smiled, “Please get us four jugs of your finest wine.” Saying this, he took out a gold tael and handed it to the boy.
The boy’s eyes brightened, immediately nodding, “Of course, please wait for just a moment.” And then, he ran off.
Fei Qianchi looked at Zhu Longwang. There weren’t many people in the tavern at the moment and although the sun had already set, Fei Qianchi didn’t worry. He stared at Zhu Longwang, whose brows were tightened. Like always, the man worried too much. But, Fei Qianchi felt happier. At the beginning, Zhu Longwang was wary of him. But, Fei Qianchi truly had good intentions, he meant no harm. Finally, the two began to get closer after a year. Fei Qianchi worked hard to improve their relationship, and it opened him up to a new side of Zhu Longwang.
Zhu Longwang was a man of few words, but Fei Qianchi was still able to understand him. He didn’t need anything to change, Fei Qianchi like where they were at now.
“You know that you aren’t good at drinking.” Zhu Longwang suddenly scolded Fei Qianchi, his purple eyes flickering.
But to this, Fei Qianchi merely smiled, lips in a gentle curve. “Aren’t you here? Even if I get drunk, so long as you are here, there’s nothing to worry about.” He really meant it.
Fei Qianchi watched as Zhu Longwang drew in his brows, a crease appearing. Laughing, Fei Qianchi reached out to smooth the crease on his forehead and came in contact with Zhu Longwang’s warm skin. “Don’t wrinkle your brows like so. I’ll be alright.” Fei Qianchi took back his hand, able to feel the lingering warmth.
Zhu Longwang bit his lips, but didn’t speak of this matter anymore. “Alright then.”
There was a shining light in Fei Qianchi’s eyes. Zhu Longwang was certainly eye catching. There was something about the man that made it hard to look away. With his purple pupils, it highlighted the shape of his eyes. He had a high and defined nose bridge, with visible cheek bones. The man had thin, light red lips, serving to complete his cold image. Zhu Longwang was not a buff man, but his figure was tall and slender, similar to Fei Qianchi’s own body. The two were nearly the same height.
Four jugs of wine were delivered to their table as Fei Qianchi poured it into two cups, setting one in front of Zhu Longwang before pouring one for himself.
Fei Qianchi grabbed a cup, downing its content, a burning sensation falling down his throat. As the two continued to drink, speaking of the worldly matters, Fei Qianchi’s eyes gradually grew more clouded, his smile becoming even more unrestrained, highlighting his features.
“Longwang, is there someone that you love? If so, who do you love?” Fei Qianchi didn’t even know why he asked this. There was a burning sensation in his heart. His head was clouded from all the wine he had drunk, his mind was out of control.
Fei Qianchi looked at Zhu Longwang with dewy eyes, a smile still rested upon his face even as his skin was tinted a shade of pink.
Zhu Longwang was sober, even Fei Qianchi could see that. It was clear that his tolerance was bad compared to Zhu Longwang’s. He propped himself up, resting his chin upon his palm.
Zhu Longwang held a cup of wine against his lips, pausing at this question.
Fei Qianchi continued to stare at Zhu Longwang, his eyes burning.
Finally, Zhu Longwang replied with a faint smile, “Who do I love? Someone who is far out of reach yet so close. That person can make me smile even in the darkest moments of my life. That person, I will swear to love for the rest of my life.”
Fei Qianchi could easily see that there was a bright light in Zhu Longwang’s eyes as he said this. Fei Qianchi downed another cup, a burning feeling in his heart that he didn’t understand. “How could that person not be in love with you?”
Zhu Longwang didn’t reply, he merely looked into Fei Qianchi’s eyes with a light smile.
Fei Qianchi felt his head pulse, knowing that he was definitely drunk by now. He could tell, his emotions were running a bit wild. He rubbed his head, frowning as he groaned. “Ugh, I drunk too much.” Fei Qianchi could feel his vision starting to blur, the voices around him became distorted.
He looked up at Zhu Longwang. The man was saying something, but Fei Qianchi could only hear bits of it.
“You… good… room…”
Fei Qianchi didn’t understand. His body felt heavy as he leaned his head onto the table. Suddenly, a force pulled him up, propping his body against himself and his arm hung over the man. Fei Qianchi knew that it was Zhu Longwang, thus he didn’t struggle, his body leaning against the other man.

Fei Qianchi woke up. There was a hard pulsing within his head, his eyes barely opened. As he laid on the bed, he slowly got up, finding himself dressed in new robes. He looked around the small room.
What happened?
Fei Qianchi couldn’t remember anything. All he could remember was drinking with Zhu Longwang. That’s where his memories cut off. Everything that happened after that, he couldn’t recall. Fei Qianchi massaged his temples, his eyes finally focusing. He couldn’t remember anything, he didn’t even know how he got into this room. He drunk too much.
At that moment, the door opened. Fei Qianchi glanced up, staring at Zhu Longwang. Even as his head pulsed, he brightened up as he called out, “Longwang!”
Zhu Longwang slowly walked forward.
Fei Qianchi’s eyes narrowed. Why was Zhu Longwang walking like that? It was as if he was in pain… Fei Qianchi gently asked, “Are you alright?”
At this, Zhu Longwang showed a stiff smile. “Mostly, I’ll be fine. I… just sprained something last night.”
Fei Qianchi felt that something was weird but he didn’t continue to ask. “I don’t remember anything. What happened?”
Zhu Longwang walked forward, stiffly sitting down on the bed next to Fei Qianchi. The man’s face was a bit pale, his lips a bit swollen.
Fei Qianchi felt that something was even more odd. He propped himself up, oddly feeling refreshed.
“You were quite drunk. There were some rooms available so the owner gave us two rooms. I took you back to this room and gave you another robe to wear. Nothing much happened, you were just a bit more unrestrained.” Zhu Longwang’s voice was a bit hoarse, a light flush on his ears.
Fei Qianchi’s ears caught that, his brows furrowing as he asked, “Are you sure you’re alright? You sound a bit sick…”
Zhu Longwang flushed badly, hiding a deep emotion in his eyes. “I-I’m fine. I just slept wrong last night.”
“Alright then. My body feels a little refreshed after all that wine.” Fei Qianchi smiled, his eyes brightening. He turned to look at Zhu Longwang’s pale face, still feeling that there was something off about this situation.
As Fei Qianchi stood up, he noticed a light pigment on Zhu Longwang’s neck. He tilted his head. But, Fei Qianchi didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to be too nosy. As he tidied himself up, he licked his dry lips, suddenly feeling a burning sensation from them. He touched his lips, seeing a small amount of blood on his finger. Hmm, his lips were bleeding.
Fei Qianchi felt that something was very odd but he also couldn’t put his hands on it. He fixed his hair as he then turned to Zhu Longwang, “Let’s head out. I’ve delayed our journey. We still need to meet up with the Qin Family.” Fei Qianchi tied his hair up with a ribbon.
Looking at Zhu Longwang’s neat and tidied hair, the white hairpin was still there, Fei Qianchi smiled.
Zhu Longwang stiffly got up, his beautiful face holding a rosy tint to it. He coughed into his hand, fixing his robe. “Let’s set off then. There won’t be too many people out on the streets so it will be safe to teleport.”
Fei Qianchi nodded. He looked around the room first before he closed his eyes, chanting an incantation underneath his breath, feeling a light wind brush past him. As he opened his eyes, Zhu Longwang stood next to him. Suddenly, Zhu Longwang jerked. As Fei Qianchi stared at him, the man was rubbing his waist.
“Are you sure you’re alright? We can hold off on this.” Fei Qianchi furrowed his brows, worry laced within his eyes.
Zhu Longwang got up immediately. He stood up straight, even as he walked with a slight limp. “I’m alright. My waist just hurts a bit. I can walk it off.”
Fei Qianchi was about to say something more, but Zhu Longwang’s gaze was resolute. He could only hold back his words and nod as they walked through the gates of Qin Mansion.
Right away, Fei Qianchi felt a ghastly aura. Chills crawled up his back. There was a vast amount of demonic energy in this place, he could almost hear the lost souls screaming in pain.
A servant soon walked out. The man was old, roughly fifty years old. “You two must be the immortals from Fushui Sect.”
Fei Qianchi cupped his fist, a small smile on his face as he replied, “We are. You must be the butler.”
“I am Butler Shu of the Qin Mansion. Please come in. Master and Madam are currently watching over Young Miss Qin.” Butler Shu wasted no time as he led the two of them inside the mansion.
Fei Qianchi carefully scanned the mansion as they walked. There was a demonic energy getting stronger as they walked in. He glanced at Zhu Longwang, who also had a dark face on. The demonic energy was strong, as if it was feeding off of something.
Fei Qianchi began asking some questions, “Since you have requested our help, then is the Young Miss’ soul injured?”
Butler Shu let out a sigh, “Yes. The Young Miss went missing for a while. Many cultivators were sent to search for her but no one could find her. She returned just a short time ago, but ever since then, she has been ill with sickness. We sought a sect to help us out, but they merely said that her soul was injured and taken away by a demonic soul.”
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi could think of a few scenarios. He looked over at Zhu Longwang, who was carefully examining the mansion.
Suddenly, the man froze.
“Longwang?” Fei Qianchi called out.
Zhu Longwang looked around, his eyes sweeping the mansion. A bright light flashed from his eyes, purple eyes shining. “It’s in their room.”
Hearing this, there was a look distraught on Fei Qianchi’s face but he kept his composure. “Please lead us, Butler Shu.”
Butler Shu nodded as they began walking further into the mansion. Finally, they arrived before a door. The demonic energy within the room was much stronger, Zhu Longwang was right.
As Butler Shu opened the door, Fei Qianchi and Zhu Longwang entered, their gazes ten times sharper.
In the bed, a young woman laid. Her face was sunken in and pale, dark bags underneath her eyes. Her body was thin and haggard. Her eyes were red, pale dry lips, her eyes darting around the room.
By her, a couple sat, trying to calm the woman.
“Xiaoshu, it is alright. There’s nothing here.” Madam Qin’s voice was comforting as she patted her daughter’s head.
But Qin Xiaoshu grew even more scared. Her eyes darted everywhere. “Can you not see?” Her voice was hoarse, as if she’d been screaming just before.
Mister Qin furrowed his brows as he turned to Fei Qianchi and Zhu Longwang. He nodded in recognition. “You must be Immortal Fei and Immortal Zhu.” He cupped his fist.
Fei Qianchi and Zhu Longwang returned his actions.
“We’ll take a look first.” Fei Qianchi replied. He didn’t go into further details, both parties had an inkling about what was going on.
Misted Qin nodded.
Suddenly, from the bed, Qin Xiaoshu’s voice became even more intense. “No, I don’t remember. Please! Let me go!!!” She covered her head with the blanket, her body trashing.
“Xiaoshu! Stop! You’re going to hurt yourself!” Madam Qin held down her daughter.
At that moment, Fei Qianchi felt a chill climb up his back. His eyes twitched.
As he opened his eyes, it was clear. There was a dark figure standing next to the bed. His face held a gruesome smile, skin rotting and peeling off. There was blood falling from his eyes, an intense demonic energy coming from his body. Suddenly, his head turned to Fei Qianchi. His body floated to him.
“Ah, so you can see me?” He smiled, eyes rolling with a low tone.
Fei Qianchi turned to Zhu Longwang, “I’m going to make an array. Don’t let the demonic energy seep out of the barrier. I’ll be alright.”
Zhu Longwang furrowed his brows but he nodded.
“Of course, righteous cultivators like you, you won’t care to find out why I’ve done what I have.” The man smiled as Fei Qianchi began making a hand seal, muttering a chant underneath his breath.
Fei Qianchu’s finger dragged into the air, a light flashing and descending onto the ground. A barrier formed, trapping the soul with Fei Qianchi.
“Now, I can talk to you.” Fei Qianchi said as he took out his sword, Baihe flashing in his hand.
“Is that so? Let me introduce myself, Immortal Fei.” The man’s appearance suddenly changed. A handsome face appeared, with seductive eyes and plump lips. There was a mole by his lips, his black hair lush. Dressed in a crimson robe, he spread his arms. “I am Zhao Weiming. You should know me as Venerable Zhao, Lord of Lost Souls.”
Fei Qianchi’s expression didn’t change. His grip tightened around Baihe. “What is your purpose?”
Zhao Weiming tilted his head, a smirk on his lips. “My purpose? Hahaha!” He laughed, throwing his head back. As he looked up, his eyes flashed black. The demonic energy around him grew stronger, surrounding the air around them. “Lord of Wandering Spirits, are you going to keep hiding in this puny body?”
Fei Qianchi suddenly felt a stabbing pain attack him, doubling over as sweat piled on his head. His core was being trashed and played with.
“So you won’t come out.” Zhao Weiming smirked. “That’s alright, I can have some fun. I wonder if you’ll do anything when I destroy this person in front of me?”
Fei Qianchi felt his sight blurring. As he looked up, he found that their surrounding had changed. Zhu Longwang was no where to be seen. Before he could do anything, Zhao Weiming flicked his hand and Fei Qianchi felt a force hit him, blood spilling from his mouth.
“This body? It’s so weak. Compared to me, you’re nothing. I have lived for thousands and thousands of years. I don’t understand why that wicked man would choose you.” Zhao Weiming sneered, looking down at Fei Qianchi. He bent down, grasping Fei Qianchi’s neck. “So what if you’re an immortal? Immortals can still be killed.”
Fei Qianchi couldn’t do anything. He had always took pride in his powers, but today, he realized just how arrogant he was. He may be strong, but there were others who far surpassed himself.
“How funny? If he chose you, then it is a sign that you were not meant to be a righteous cultivator.” Zhao Weiming’s eyes brightened, a low chuckle came from his throat.
Fei Qianchi lifted his hand, a light blasting and attacking Zhao Weiming as the man moved back, dropping Fei Qianchi. Fei Qianchi’s stood on his feet, wiping away the blood on his lips. “You talk too much.”
Zhao Weiming cocked his brows, “I see. This is why he chose you. Just like him, you are stubborn. If you want to play, I shall accompany you.” In his hand, a visible black energy gathered.
Fei Qianchi was getting attacked, again and again, he still hold on. While he knew that he couldn’t compare to Zhao Weiming, his body still continued to fight.
Just then, a bright light flashed in the air, attacking Zhao Weiming as the man covered his chest.
Zhao Weiming spat out black blood. “Impossible!” He looked around.
Fei Qianchi felt himself wobble, barely holding himself up while using Baihe as a support.
His eyesight began to blur, but he saw a figure dressed in white walk towards him. The man dressed in red immediately fled.
As Fei Qianchi felt his body collapse, the man in white caught him.
“It’s always you…”
Fei Qianchi felt a bursting emotion in him. Even though he was barely conscious, he reached out and held onto the man’s robe.
The man laughed.
“Don’t worry. This time, I won’t leave you.”
Fei Qianchi finally closed his eyes, losing his consciousness.
