Rushed is a bit of an understatement for this ending! And this chapter amounted to Suo Fei learning absolutely nothing to even help tie things up! I wish instead if they were going to be an extra it would’ve just been shoved full of relationship fluff leaving off the plot entirely since it was hopeless to even try that at this point. How disappointing! I am, nonetheless, grateful for your hard work on this story! You can’t help the content after all, and the first 2/3rds or so of the story were 5/5. Worth the incredibly unsatisfying and frustrating ending.

Also Manzy seemed to be quite determined and have a secret obsession with Fey when the parted for the final time, even promising that “he could not leave him” yet he never showed any interest to chase or even attempt to look for him after, raising excitement for a potential rivalry for Samael yet being left with disappointment.

Tbh I feel like the author rushed this ending quite a bit…so many unanswered questions! With Aryan, there was a bit of foreshadowing so I expected him to have more appearances. Also, there seemed like there would be more to say about Manzy. His infatuation with Fey was never really explained. Actually, a lot hasn’t been explained. This novel had so much potential to be really great, not that it’s bad now but it could have been so much better ;-;

Now I just want to theorize all the other possibilities. Like maybe Sou Fei really dies and goes back to his world. He wakes up and tries to finish the game after a long time of grief. Venturing to find a way back through the game and it’s secrets. Meanwhile Samael awakes as the god of destruction and ventures to bring Sou Fei back. There’s a couple ways it could go after that, but it would be a great start to a next to last final arc. Maybe the final arc would be Sou Fei wandering in Yalance as mix of his original body and the elf ‘Sofey’, trying to reach Samael who’s either become an evil monarch, or a violent god ripping into the different worlds where the humans, beastkin, elves, trolls, demons, and celestials came from. All to seek where the original Sou Fei’s soul came from. I don’t know. Then there’s all the side stories of the loose ends that were never touched. In any case this story is awesome.
Although this one has some plot holes I still love it. Its still a good read as expected of the author. She is amazing ❤ and thanks for the translation💓
