  8. Putting aside the comedy shipping between ML & MC by the Author system, the present timeline of the modern XZ is really tragic. I wonder if He Zheng (the guy known as the arch-rival of MC) felt something for him when he got cremated and hid his feelings behind his shameless and playful behaviour. I could be wrong but I somewhat felt….hard to describe in words (like a relationship which would never come true? delusional?) For some…. reason, I want the modern HZ to transmigrate and well, reunite with MC again (cuz believe it or not at the end of the day, the whole cultivation world is like a book in the MC’s pov) since MC is alone with only the system as a constant companion that shatters any bonds other than the ones already given in the plot (like the Daoist sects & the demonic ones and the etc. sects which are either small to stand out or big but aren’t given importance cuz they don’t revolve around the protagonist.)

    But I enjoy this story and can’t put it down. Thanks for the translations and for bringing this wonderful plot to date.

    • In the sister novel HC falls hopelessly in love with Xie Zhiwei who transmigrated from the book into Xie Zhi’s body (but with some of his Daoist abilities intact) so…happily ever after both ways! Haha, they just needed to meet their respective MCs in a different dimension, that’s all!
