“This is your house?” Ji Ning was astonished. His first thought was that this must be where Huo Wuling intended to take him from the start and that he’d just tricked him into thinking they were lost.
But that didn’t explain why the people around them were acting so weird. He didn’t think Huo Wuling would go so far as to ask strangers to play along with him, and if he wanted Ji Ning to come over why wouldn’t he just ask him?
However, he was still relieved. Since this was Huo Wuling’s house, there weren’t any problems anymore. If they ended up finishing late, they could just stay here for the night since neither one of them had class the next morning.
“Yes, I live here.”

“I don’t know…” Ji Ning said, continuing to eat his noodles. Huo Wuling’s cooking was really good, he’d already eaten two bowls.
“It’s my adoptive father’s blood.” Huo Wuling said, “Our store was robbed and he was killed by the thief on this sofa.”

This is the first BL novel I ever started and I’m really glad it’s the first but because it is that makes it all the more emotional to see it end. Because it was the first I wasn’t familiar with the trope of all the love interests being the same character and I got a bit too attached to them all. To the point I can’t even decide on a favorite or hate any of them although I really thought I’d hate Ozer until the end of the novel. I’m really sad to see it go.
