The Grandmaster's Weird DiscipleCh256 - Specials (2)

What if it had been Shi Yue to wake up in the past and remember all the memories of his death? What if he returned to the time before Xie Yi was taken away by the Demonic Sect? NGMyEW

Shi Yue was running with a face so strained that the other teachers broke out into a panic.

โ€œWhat is the matterโ€, his master had called, running right after him. โ€œWhat is wrong? You have to rest!โ€

Chrysanthemum Garden.

He had just awoken from a comatose state he had been in for a week and immediately jumped up to run out, not even fixing his clothes. Not saying a single word.

But Shi Yue had no mind to care for him. He jumped right onto his sword and flew towards the city in his fastest speed, jaw clenched. XQIm0d

When he had woken up, things were different.

The way things were going to turn out – he absolutely couldnโ€™t allow it.

He had to kill that child. Kill him before he could grow into the monster he was.

He barely knew enough to locate Xie Yi.

KGkRf

He knew the city, at least. There he could ask around. A child with red eyes wasnโ€™t exactly inconspicuous. No matter what, there had to be hints to be found.

The citizens grew frightened at the sight of a dishevelled Grandmaster appearing with a stern face.

โ€œI need to find someoneโ€, Shi Yue bellowed, his eyebrows lowered darkly.

Behind him, his master – the sect leader – jumped to the ground as well and walked forward to reach out for him. x6 9IK

Shi Yue shook the arm off his shoulders.

He couldnโ€™t.

Right now, he couldnโ€™t. Not before this was settled.

โ€œI need to find a child, a few years old. Black hair and red eyes.โ€ wtOkUC

The people cowered, falling to their knees in fright at his chilling aura.

However, their fear didnโ€™t stop them from wanting to help one of the cultivators that always protected them.

โ€œThere is a street-rat like thatโ€, a man dared to stutter. โ€œIโ€™ve seen him not too long ago! He was in the street behind the bakery over there!โ€

His arm trembled as he raised it. asJgMl

Shi Yue fiercely turned around and began to hurry towards where the man pointed.

โ€œShi Yue, what is wrongโ€, he heard his master ask. The man followed right at his side. โ€œThis isnโ€™t like you.โ€

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

โ€œIt surely isn’tโ€, Shi Yue growled.

He had lost his master due to natural causes, but the pain of losing others to Xie Yi was livid. Includingโ€ฆ his own death. RIC6qN

The demon had to die. Now.

Reaching out with his spiritual energy, he easily found the single humanoid being in the net of streets right behind the bakery and strode towards it.

Just around the corner.

He pulled his sword. hGwVg1

The sect leader started in surprise and stopped dead in his tracks, but Shi Yue went right around the corner-

and stopped.

The little one that looked up at him was utterly confused by the sudden appearance of the man before him and froze like a startled deer.

The tiny, dirty hands were still tightly curled around some kind of ragย  – maybe an old blanket – that he was trying to drag out of a pile of trash higher than his head. Hd2I1R

The child blinked in awe, his jaw dropping.

Shiย  Yue stared at him, complex emotions instantly washing away the blazing fury he had felt.

The little boy blinked his eyes, colored like the sunset, and let go of the blanket.

Staggering, his thin and malnourished body moved to stand in front of Shi Yue. He had to place his head into his neck to look up at the cultivator. LtXqpx

โ€œYou are a cultivatorโ€, he said, his voice rough and coarse but excited. It wasnโ€™t a question and more of a fascinated statement.

โ€œI amโ€, Shi Yue said, swallowing hard.

This? This was the monster that raided the lands?

Of course he knew that this was a very young version of the monster, but he hadnโ€™t expected- p4uzrJ

Hadnโ€™t expected such pure eyes.

The child circled him and curiously reached out for the drawn sword. Shi Yue twitched it away.

โ€œAre you not afraid I might cut you down?โ€, he threatened darkly, allowing his feelings to take over again and seep through his words.

Maybe unsettled by his discipleโ€™s unusual behaviour, the sect leader waited at the side, watching the situation. HzGn6a

The child looked up again, his face nonchalant. โ€œKnow you might. Does not change anything.โ€

He reached out for the sword again, fascination in his eyes. โ€œI like swords. I want one too. If I had one, I could keep everyone I donโ€™t like away. Biting isnโ€™t good enough…โ€

He smiled. It was weirdly strained, unfitting for his bright eyes. โ€œIf I was a cultivator, no one could hurt me! I bet you have it really good.โ€

Shi Yue frowned darkly. 75v9EC

Without really wanting to, he dropped to his knee to be on one height with the boy and spoke with narrowed eyes. โ€œA sword is not to randomly hurt and dominate. It is to protect others.โ€

The childโ€™s eyes widened. A complete lack of understanding was written all over his face.

โ€œButโ€, he said slowly. โ€œI canโ€™t protect others if Iโ€™m not protected, right? I need to protect myself first but I donโ€™t have claws or teeth like a beast.โ€

He raised his hands up high and went onto his tiptoes to try and show a large height. TNxUBO

โ€œIs it true that you cultivators haveย thiiisย much to eat? I heard you can have whole mountains of food!โ€ He gave the same empty smile as before. โ€œAnd blankets!โ€

He turned his head around, ignoring Shi Yue, and staggered back to the rag he had been dragging at.

Shi Yue felt his face twist uncomfortably.

โ€œHeโ€™s not keeping his thoughts togetherโ€, the sect leader muttered as he walked over before pulling a confused child away from the rag and placing a hand on his forehead. โ€œHeโ€™s burning up. Child, are you cold?โ€ uQOJfP

โ€œNot at allโ€, the child chirped, his eyes wandering up to the sect leader and back to the rag. Then he tilted his head. โ€œOh. I donโ€™t need a blanket then, right? Iโ€™m not even cold.โ€

The blanket completely forgotten, he turned and tried to walk but stumbled with the hand on his forehead. He made a confused sound like a small animal and blinked in a daze.

โ€œShi Yue, what is it that you want with this child?โ€, the sect leader asked. โ€œBecause if you need him for more than a day, we will have to hurry. The heat is frying his brain. He wonโ€™t survive long like this.โ€

Shi Yue bit his lip until he tasted iron. iUPkux

He would die soon, anyway. He did not even need to kill him.

โ€œTake him alongโ€, he forced out, unable to control the hate in his voice but also unable to watch the scene.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Thatย was not the one whom he hated.

The sect leader nodded gravely. tluXvj

Three days later, Shi Yue found himself walking into a small room after Master Chen had notified him of the boyโ€™s awakening.

To his surprise, he found the boy not in the bed but rather cowering under it.

โ€œWhat are you doing down thereโ€, Shi Yue asked, leaning on the ground with one arm and looking at the shadow that stared back at him.

โ€œI did not break inโ€, the child sternly responded, the nervous trembling of his voice too obvious to Shi Yueโ€™s ears. jFxvUz

โ€œI know. I brought you here.โ€

The boy paused for a moment.

โ€œI-I am not responsible for the sheets!โ€

Shi Yue turned his body to look up at the bed. Due to the boyโ€™s high fever he had sweated a lot and the sheets looked somewhat dirty. 9hgan8

The childโ€™s stomach growled loudly.

He stared at the bowl like a wild cat, his eyes wide, but his body showed no signs of moving.

โ€œCome and eat.โ€

โ€œI can’t pay.โ€ 0bce6d

โ€œ…I know. Come and eat. Itโ€™s free, you donโ€™t need to give anything in return.โ€

At that, the boy was out from under the bed before Shi Yue could count to three.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Starving, the child devoured the bowl and licked it clean, his sunset eyes shining brightly.

Once finished, he held it out to Shi Yue and smiled so widely that his eyes turned to slit moons. GnShJT

โ€œThank youโ€, he chirped. โ€œIt was really, really tasty!โ€

Shi Yue took the bowl.

They were both sitting on the ground, a weird pair. Shi Yue felt the turmoil in his heart at the sight.

The child was staring at him motionlessly, the purity in his eyes painful. XSJjqg

โ€œWhat is your nameโ€, Shi Yue asked, strained. Maybe it was a coincidence.

โ€œXie Yi.โ€

…Or not. But how? How did a little child that thanked a stranger for a bowl of soup turn into such a thing?

โ€œWould you work for food?โ€, he tested. 1FTrWY

The child nodded his head up and down like a chicken. โ€œUn!โ€

Shi Yue breathed in and out slowly. He would place a collar on the child and watch him for a while. One month heโ€™d keep an eye on him and then decide how to proceed.

โ€œYouโ€™ll stay by my side and follow my orders. In return, you will get food and a place to stay.โ€

โ€œOkayโ€, Xie Yi agreed with a sweet, high laugh. GCzvte

However, Shi Yue regretted his decision more and more with every single day.

He stayed in a separate house, farther away from the sect, hardly ever away from the child so heโ€™d notice anything weird.

But the only thing he noticed was how Xie Yi bloomed.

He looked so innocent, so peaceful. ZAUSvf

What had happened? How could any of this be?

The day he got his answer was only a few before the deadline he had set for himself.

Xie Yi had vanished and returned after an hour.

Shi Yue stared at the boy in horror. z4G8Ry

He was bloody all over, his arm broken and hanging down limply, twisted.

But the child was smiling like an angel, dragging his body through the door.

โ€œI caught it for youโ€, he said proudly, dragging his other arm forward to show what he was pulling after him.

The boar was a small one, but huge when compared to Xie Yi. 0eBRFw

The way its head was bashed in showed clearly that its skull had been broken in with a blunt object – most likely a stone.

Xie Yi was bleeding all over the ground and kept himself on his feet with pure willpower. Nonetheless, he presented his gift. Delighted despite his exhaustion.

Shi Yue opened his mouth, feeling frozen.

The boar that was messing up his yard. 4NbzR0

He could easily get rid of it himself and simply hadnโ€™t done so yet. But he had said it out loud – that he wished someone would take care of it.

Mere grumbling and nonsensical complaints but the child had taken him seriously.

โ€œYou are hurt!โ€, Shi Yue exclaimed.

โ€œUnโ€, the child agreed. โ€œBut I got it for you!โ€ xXaAGF

โ€œWhy would you do thatโ€, Shi Yue hissed, reaching out to lift Xie Yi up and carry him towards the bed. The more he cut open the ragged clothes, the whiter his face got.

โ€œBecause you said you want someone to get rid of itโ€, Xie Yi said in an empty tone, stating it as a fact. The smile on his face did not reach his eyes. โ€œYou are kind to me, so I want to repay it.โ€

“Not when you get hurt!”

“But I did get it for you”, Xie Yi insisted. Nothing else seemed to matter to him. w2NITl

Shi Yue stiffened.

Xie Yi never disobeyed him. Never. And now he was learning the extent of his absolute obedience.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

โ€œIf you want to repay meโ€, he whispered, looking right into Xie Yiโ€™s eyes, โ€œthen take care of yourself. Become healthy so that you can protect others. Isnโ€™t that what you said? You have to protect yourself first. Start with that now.โ€

Outside, a white flake slowly made its way towards the ground. AFXIHW

Xie Yiโ€™s face slowly lost its stiff smile, leaving behind nothing but an uncertain, confused little face.

With lowered eyes, the child nodded.

โ€œOkay.โ€

Shi Yue reached out to place a hand on his head. lS1gLK

Xie Yi jolted heavily and stayed tense as Shi Yue carefully stroked over it.

He had forgotten or maybe avoided to accept.

The him right now was different than the him who had died, since he had gained a set of memories.

But the one before him was also different from the Demonic Sect leader. He could form him and make sure that these events would not happen. aJ4fOT

โ€œIโ€™ll be here to protect youโ€, Shi Yue soothed him. โ€œAs long as you promise me to become a good person, I will always watch over you as well.โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t know what a good person isโ€, Xie Yi admitted. โ€œBut Iโ€™ll do what you tell me. You know whatโ€™s best.โ€

The Grandmaster didnโ€™t respond.

He stood up to get a bottle of pills and fed it to the child. Y4xmrn

As night broke, white began to wash over the world. Higher and higher it fell, covering up everything bad.

Shi Yue started the fireplace and walked over to the broad bed where the little one was half drowning in. He pushed the blanket aside and moved to lay beside the frightened boy who made moves to leave the bed.

Shi Yue pulled him gently back by the collar.

โ€œIโ€™m occupying your bedโ€, Xie Yi squeaked. Xar4 Z

โ€œWrongโ€, Shi Yue rejected. โ€œIโ€™m sharing it with you. Now stop struggling and get some sleep.โ€

The child made mewling noises as Shi Yue bluntly pulled him into his arms, making sure not to touch the broken arm.

Wrapping the tiny figure in his embrace, he felt it slowly relax.

โ€œI donโ€™t want you to be madโ€, he heard him mumble. โ€œWhat if I move in my sleep?โ€ FTyCUL

โ€œDonโ€™t worry, Xie Yiโ€, Shi Yue soothingly said, nuzzling the fluffy head under his chin. โ€œI will watch out so that you donโ€™t ever do anything that will make me angry or disappoint me.โ€

The tiny figure in his arms hummed and, after some hesitation, curled a single finger around Shiย  Yueโ€™s robe.

The cultivator did not need to wait long until the other oneโ€™s breathing was slow and even. The child had a high body temperature, feeling like a tiny heater.

He closed his eyes with furrowed brows. I3m27W

How often had he heard the leader of the Demonic Sect use that phrase? The elders said. It was always, always, the elders said.

So had it been them who had picked Xie Yi up the last time?

If he would have not survived much longer with that fever, did they heal him? Did they earn his stupid, single-minded obedience? The trust that was nothing other than blind devotion?

The crackling of the fireplace filled the room, the lights flickering on Shi Yueโ€™s face. 6iCbS5

โ€œIโ€™ll give you your second chanceโ€, he sighed and a weight lifted off his heart with the words.

If he did not have to kill a child, he would prefer not to.

And tomorrow, he would go out to play with the boy. Build a snowman, maybe, and make figurines of ice.

He could make them some warm food and they could eat before the fireplace. 5s3rfi

For now, Xie Yi would have nothing to do but grow. Once he had his time as a child, Shi Yue would begin to teach him and make sure that he would become a good cultivator.

But all of that could wait.

Shi Yue adjusted his hold and Xie Yi grumbled in his sleep.

โ€œI donโ€™t believe in a destiny that canโ€™t be changedโ€, Shi Yue whispered as he closed his eyes to rest as well. Iz0aKh

Behind the scenes – if everything was just acted

โ€œOkay, youโ€™ve got your text?โ€, the man asked, correcting the lighting.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

โ€œAll readyโ€, Shi Yue confirmed, getting into position.

โ€œText? What text? I donโ€™t have the textโ€, the surprised voice of Xie Yi sounded, running onto the set. The director turned to him and patted his shoulder. IBRjyY

โ€œBecause youโ€™re shitty at memorizing linesโ€, he said seriously. โ€œSo. Just go with the flow. Feel the tension! Stand your ground against him! You want to leave at all costs, okay? Stare him down!โ€

โ€œI understandโ€, Xie Yi grumpily responded with a deep frown on his face.

Muttering something like โ€˜I can do itโ€™, he walked towards the set.

It was โ€˜hisโ€™ bedroom. It was early evening, with the sun already hiding behind the horizon. Z83YnE

The adjusted the lighting one more time, checked the camera, and then the director raised his hand.

Shi Yue closed his eyes and opened them again.

โ€œThere is no way I can accept this!โ€, he shouted furiously. โ€œYou wonโ€™t leave!โ€

As he said this, he reached out to grab Xie Yiโ€™s arm. The man frowned and looked at it. Then his eyes slowly raised up to meet Shi Yueโ€™s. dwFZPN

โ€œIโ€™m going.โ€

โ€œI forbid it!โ€, Shi Yue bellowed. He had fixed lines, but he would have to adjust depending on Xie Yi.

โ€œYou are walking into your doomโ€, he growled, reaching out to hold up Xie Yiโ€™s chin and glaring at him. โ€œThey will destroy you. Why do you have to play with your life?โ€

Xie Yi glared back. xu2hKL

โ€œIs it really worth it? …To lose your life for revenge?โ€

They werenโ€™t really far from each other. He could feel Xie YIโ€™s breath on his face. The man kept holding his gaze.

โ€œ…In the endโ€ฆ theyโ€ฆโ€

Wait, what was his text again? 6MU4op

Shi Yue kept on staring at the sunset coloured eyes that were completely focused on him and felt his brain shutting down.

…Ahhโ€ฆ So cuteโ€ฆ

He leaned forward, bridging the last tiny gap, and brushed his lips against Xie Yiโ€™s for a curt moment.

Xie Yi made a small sound, then blinked, his face switching to confusion. โ€œAh? Was there a kiss in this scene?โ€ qtVFTy

Whoops.

Shi Yue heard the director sigh.

โ€œShi Yueโ€ฆโ€

โ€œ…Iโ€™m sorry. It wonโ€™t happen again.โ€ PXtZTL

โ€œ…โ€

โ€œ…It was because he was staring.โ€

โ€œYou and your goddamn PDA1. You are killing us poor single dogsโ€, the director grumbled, rubbing his temples. โ€œRepeat! And this time donโ€™t kiss him!โ€

โ€œYesโ€, Shi Yue guiltily replied. 3aD9R

Once more, the scene repeated.

This time he acted more aggressively, pulling Xie Yi back. With his hand on the otherโ€™s collar, the clothing accidentally ripped open a bit, revealing the pale skin beneath.

Xie Yi was still staring at him – as ordered by the director – without moving his eyes away.

Shi Yue swallowed hard. UmkN31

In the corner, the director cursed.

โ€œThatโ€™s it. Iโ€™m scrapping this scene.โ€

***

โ€œI agree!โ€, Mingtian shouted at the same time as Xue Hua shouted: โ€œI donโ€™t!โ€ k7Oiah

The director looked at Xue Hua, trying to placate the blushing youth. โ€œItโ€™s just a short scene! Not that explicit, either. You will be fine.โ€

โ€œYes. You will totally be fineโ€, Mingtian sang, completely disregarding Xue Huaโ€™s rejection and throwing the beauty over his shoulder.

Please support our translators at chrysanthemumgarden (dot) com

Xue Hua shrieked, then tried to struggle. โ€œLet me down!โ€

โ€œAs you wish, darlingโ€, Mingtian hummed, placing Xue Hua down – right on the bed. Tv28m3

The other manโ€™s eyes widened in surprise, then he blushed even more furiously and tried to push away the man who was above him with a wicked grin.

โ€œWhat are they doing?โ€, Xie Yi asked, coming in from the side. He curiously watched the two of them try to overpower the other while licking on an ice cream that Shi Yue had bought him.

โ€œDeciding whether to go through with the scene or notโ€ฆ Probablyโ€, the director said with raised eyebrows. Was this going to end as a rated scene?

โ€œHmmmโ€, Xie Yi hummed, watching them for a while. โ€œIs it a scene where they play together in bed?โ€ oUNcRp

The director sweat-dropped. Well, Xie Yi did have interesting ways of describing things. He couldnโ€™t tell whether the other was innocent or lewd most of the time.

Xie Yi tilted his head. โ€œItโ€™s boring like that, though. Itโ€™s much more interesting if-โ€

โ€œXie Yi!โ€, Shi Yue screamed, running up from behind and clamping a hand over the young manโ€™s mouth. โ€œYouย donโ€™tย need to talk about that!โ€

Xie Yi looked at the person peering angrily over his shoulder and blinked innocently. He gave a small nod and Shi Yue released him with a sigh. tBdE8v

Anyway, the whole studio had perked up their ears and were suddenly working very quietly.

Mingtian, however, had stopped moving. With a dark face, he turned around.

โ€œShi Yueโ€ฆ Just what kind of weird things are you doing with my little brotherโ€, he snarled slowly. Getting off Xue Hua, he began to approach the man.

Shiย  Yue glared back. โ€œThose kind of matter are none of your business.โ€ 9xTSX2

The two men stared at each other. Xie Yi continued to lick his ice cream.

Xue Hua got himself together, fixing his clothes, and walked over with an awkward face. A conflicted expression showing, he looked at Xie Yi.

โ€œYouโ€ฆ Are not doing anything you donโ€™t like, right?โ€, he nervously asked. Not that he doubted Shi Yue or anything, but-

Xie Yi shook his head. โ€œNo. Itโ€™s all fun stuff. For example-โ€ YAMCm

He leaned closer and quietly explained so that only Xue Hua could hear. If only he could hear, then surely Shi Yue wouldnโ€™t get mad?

However, Xue Hua turned white from blue. Slowly his eyebrows sank and he turned to glare at Shi Yue with an incredulous expression. โ€œY-You! You-Youโ€ฆโ€

Shi Yue flinched.

โ€œHow can you!โ€, Xue Hua shouted, pulling Xie Yi into his arms. The young man twisted his body, saving his ice cream. Nonchalantly, he continued eating. eqN7MF

โ€œWhyย are you getting mad atย meย when itโ€™sย himย taking the initiative for everything!โ€, Shi Yue shouted back awkwardly.

โ€œHe doesnโ€™t understand!โ€, Xue Hua shouted back.

The director stood at the side, the camera in his hands rolling.

โ€œWhatโ€™s that going to be?โ€, one of the staff asked curiously, watching the scene go on. CUy8W3

The director shrugged. โ€œBlackmail material.โ€

***

โ€œAre you sure she wonโ€™t mind?โ€, Xue Hua asked, smoothing his clothes for the n-th time.

Mingtian laughed. โ€œNot at all. Iโ€™m sure she will be happy to have a sonโ€ฆ in-law. Yeah. She will be happy to see us. Certainly.โ€ KiWPvD

He walked three circles around Xue Hua as he talked. The bird stopped his movements and looked at his mate with a deadpan face.

โ€œHey, rather than me being nervous, itโ€™s you who is freaking out, right?โ€

โ€œMe? Nervous? What, no. Iโ€™m not nervousโ€, Mingtian laughed dryly, his eyes jumping around. Under the avianโ€™s stare, he lowered his head between his shoulders and whispered. โ€œ…A bit. Come along, please?โ€

The man rolled his eyes and reached out to grasp Mingtianโ€™s hand. He dragged him forward to the corner. 6fclAB

The woman was running around, helping people with carrying stuff. Most stood in awe at what kind of things she easily placed on her shoulders.

Towards the end, Xue Hua was pushing Mingtian forwards. The beast was completely stiff.

When she spotted them, her face froze in the middle of talking.

โ€œHiโ€, Mingtian croaked as he fiddled with his fingers. โ€œ…Mother?โ€ ybinGl

She stared for a few seconds. Her white hair was roughly fixed up and the ivory horns grew over her head. She was white like a spirit and sparkling like crystals in the sun.

She moved. Her face lit up, tears in her eyes. She jumped forward and pulled Mingtian into her arms.

Please visit chrysanthemumgarden (dot) com

โ€œOh my darling!โ€, she shouted in pure joy. โ€œMy little baby! All grown up! Look at what a handsome little thing you are, exactly like your father! I chose a good man to have a child with!โ€

She held him at an armโ€™s length and looked him all over, then turned him around. Mingtian sniffled. zx27Qs

She wiped his cheek with a lopsided grin. โ€œLittle darlingโ€ฆ And your mate? A good one.โ€

The woman walked over to Xue Hua and pulled him in a hug likewise.

The director, a bit farther away, dabbed at his face with a handkerchief.

โ€œShould we postpone the next sceneโ€, a staff member whispered to him. xidNPO

โ€œYeah, we will film another one firstโ€, the director sniffled. โ€œAnd get me someone to do something about my puffy eyes.โ€

***

โ€œI will protect him and kill anyone who touches himโ€, Mingtian declared with his cheek squashed against Xie Yiโ€™s child-version. The little one blinked his eyes.

Adult-Xie Yi cocked his head. โ€œBut heโ€™s finished with his scenes and is leaving in an hour.โ€ zd8Ja4

โ€œIโ€™ll adopt him.โ€

โ€œBut he has an adoptive father alreadyโ€, Xie Yi said bluntly while pointing to a corner where Feng Yan was standing. The old man awkwardly waved at noticing he was being looked at.

โ€œI willย fightโ€, Mingtian growled with a glare.

A fist hit him over the head violently. โ€œNo, you wonโ€™t.โ€ B1rTgk

โ€œXue Huaโ€, Xie Yi greeted.

โ€œYou canโ€™t expect me to let him go! Look at him! Heโ€™s tiny and adorable and I want to keep him!โ€

โ€œYou are being treated as a pet, I thinkโ€, Adult-Yi whispered to his mini-version.

The child, only a few years old, wriggled in Mingtianโ€™s arms and whispered back. โ€œHeโ€™s warm. Itโ€™s fine.โ€ 26sGRN

โ€œXue Hua is right, you canโ€™t keep him. He has to go homeโ€, Shi Yue said as he walked over with a bottle of water for Xie Yi.

Mingtian glared at him. โ€œOh really?โ€

Chrysanthemum Garden.

He stood up, Mini-Yi in his arms, and handed the child over to Shi Yue.

Seeing the huge, innocent eyes focused on him, Shi Yueโ€™s face stiffened. Mini-Yi moved around a bit, made himself comfortable, and went back to silently accepting the situation. 71 Ose

Shi Yueโ€™s arms tightened a bit.

โ€œSo? Go ahead and give him over to Feng Yanโ€, Mingtian laughed haughtily at Shi Yueโ€™s troubled face.

โ€œI wish we had a Mini-Yueโ€, Xie Yi complained under his breath. There were no scenes with Shi Yue being small so they hadnโ€™t gotten an actor for it. โ€œShould I ask the author to add one last-minute?โ€

โ€œGod, donโ€™tโ€, a staff member said while passing by. โ€œThe timeline is a mess already.โ€ 0zKOVq

โ€œAwwwโ€ฆโ€, Xie Yi complained, throwing a longing look at Shi Yue.

The man cleared his throat. โ€œI have childhood photos, at most.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll take those, too.โ€

โ€œYou all are weirdโ€, Mini-Yi said from within Shi Yueโ€™s arms. wJqih1

Shi Yue patted the boyโ€™s head. โ€œWhatever you say.โ€

***

The director tried to stand his ground against Xie Yi but it sure was problematic.

โ€œWhy canโ€™t you film the scene!โ€ PlBuTv

โ€œCanโ€™tโ€, Xie Yi repeated again, like a broken record. โ€œItโ€™s no good today.โ€

โ€œIs it good on another day?!โ€, the director snarled, furious at the breaking of his plan.

Xie Yi cocked his head in thought and pursed his lips. โ€œProbablyโ€ฆ But Iโ€™d have to see on that day.โ€

โ€œAlright, Almighty Actor. What is your problem. Is the weather too cold?โ€, the director tried to ask calmly. They were running on a tight schedule and had to get that bathhouse scene done. PAedXd

โ€œNo, itโ€™s fineโ€, Xie Yi said as he shook his head.

โ€œThen is it too revealing for you?โ€, the director asked between clenched teeth. Another headshake.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

โ€œNo, I donโ€™t mind revealing scenes.โ€

โ€œThen what in the world is your reason!โ€ The furious bellow of the director could be heard throughout the studio. gODLPy

Xie Yi pouted and pulled his collar to the side, revealing his shoulder. Numerous, rather obvious red marks were standing out on his white skin.

โ€œThis is kind of not suitable for filming, right?โ€, the young man asked with a confused frown.

The director stared at the marks. He pointed at them, looked at Xie Yi with a dropped jaw and furrowed brows, then closed his mouth and breathed in deeply.

โ€œSHI YUE!โ€ PD98g3

โ€œYes?โ€, came from the make-up room a good bit farther away.

โ€œYou are sharing a room with Mingtian tonight!โ€

โ€œWhat?!โ€ย Some noises, then Shi Yue looked out of the room to the dismay of his make-up artist. โ€œWhy!โ€

The director, fuming, pointed at Xie Yi without a word. lHdIiJ

Silence fell over the studio.

โ€œYou totally deserve thatโ€, Mingtianโ€™s quiet humpf sounded from somewhere in the crowd.

  1. Thanks for the story, it’s one of my favourites !

I was very happy to have the extras too, I couldn’t read them on ScribbleHub. I loved them !

I really want to read the other stories you have in this universe, but I know that will takes time because you have other current stories. That I love too. Why can’t there be more clones of you ?!

Just wanted to let you know you are one of my favourites author, have confidence in yourself and your stories, you are an amazing author !

  2. Many thanks for finishing the story. Th ending was a bit abrupt, as they couldn’t fully destroy the remaining demon sect, the Elders and the parasite thing.i wish there are more extras with are lovely couple ๐Ÿ˜

    • The ending was a bit abrupt indeed, but those three things were actually always planned to not be finished ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s a long fight, and not one that Xie Yi can finish quickly, so I did not want to give it a forced closure

      • Is it too fairytale to at least wish for a line like, “As time moved on, they picked off the elders one by one, and attacked the Demonic sect until only the remnants remained. By the time they transcended and moved away from the fight, they could trust their successors to finish them off.” Or something like that…

Either way, I really enjoyed your story! Thank you!

  3. I loved this story! Thank you for your hard work and creativity. A beautiful story I will most likely read again and again. Thank you so much for this wild ride! โค

  4. NOOOOOOOOO I DON’T WANT IT TO BE FINISHED!!!! I’m definitely gonna miss my Xie Yi, Shi Yue, Xu Yan, Mingtian, Xue Hua, Li Mei and everyone else!

  8. Thank you for the story! I was hooked on reading it from start to finish ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ I love Xie Yi, he’s such a good character. Perfect murder baby

  9. I don’t want to part with the characters yet. They’re so lovable I’m attached ๐Ÿ˜ž

    Thanks for this amazing story

  10. The end ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

    This was fantastic! MAGNIFICENT!!!

There were a bit too much maturity and wisdom compared to the usual novels I read but I got used to it.

All the psychological part were just so… WOW!!! So interesting and knowledgeable!!! A!!MA!!ZING!!!

    • To tell the truth, I never intended for the story to nicely solve everything ๐Ÿ˜€ A conflict as big as this isn’t solved with a single war and I didn’t want to force a giant cheat that makes everything happy. It’s more of a, the story continues without the reader. But I do understand not everyone likes that ^^

    • Nobody knows. This ending is supposed to be – in terms of this story, it’s done. that doesn’t mean that there aren’t things still happening in that world, people continue to live their lives, cultivators cultivate, and the evil sects continue to try and cause a mess.

  11. This story was really good. I enjoyed it and would have loved it longer or a part two. It’s odd the plot hole of the demonic sect… it was left unresolved. Was their supposed to be another book or more chapters?

    • You can actually find my answer to that one comment above yours ๐Ÿ˜€ I had no interest in solving all the evils of the world. GWD is one little arc of what happens inside the world, that doesn’t mean it’s a perfectly closed book. Things still happen. Problems still exist. GWD is the story of Xie Yi growing up, and with that, it finishes

  12. Thank you so much for the story! Even if it is like 2 years since you posted this, please know that I’m extremely glad that I found and read it! For a lack of words, have hearts ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œHave a nice life, and take care of yourself!
