Dog Training (ABO)Ch142 - Truth

Xia Sheng’s apology remains as sincere as ever, but Ruan Xiao looks at him as if he were watching a clown, unmoved.

Ruan Xiao is too lazy to listen to Xia Sheng’s sentimentality. Just as he is about to drive him away, the door of the ward is knocked. PBqn6N

The door is pushed open, and Feng Zhan, who disappeared suddenly in the morning, is standing outside.

During the time he disappeared, Feng Zhan should have tidied himself up a bit. His clothes are still relatively neat and clean, but his eyes are strangely red.

He steps into the room. Only then does everyone in the room see that he is accompanied by Ruan Jin.

Seeing Ruan Jin suddenly reappear, Xia Sheng immediately goes on high alert. He takes a step forward and glares at Feng Zhan in anger. “Feng Zhan, what exactly do you mean? Why did you bring him again…” nN8Hdv

Feng Zhan seems to pay no attention to Xia Sheng. His eyes, red from crying, glance at Xia Sheng who’s blocking his way, and then he looks at Ruan Xiao sitting quietly on the hospital bed. His expression becomes serious and grave. “Both Ruan Jin and I have something important to tell you.”

Ruan Xiao raises his eyes and meets Feng Zhan’s dark gaze. The two lock eyes for a couple of seconds. After a while, Ruan Xiao speaks, “Come in.”

With Ruan Xiao’s permission, Ruan Jin enters the room in a hurry. His beautiful almond-shaped eyes are swollen, and his eyelashes are damp, clearly showing signs of recent tears.

Ruan Jin tightly purses his thin lips and approaches. He looks at Ruan Xiao, weakened by the surgery and half-leaning on the hospital bed. After standing by the bedside for a few seconds, just when everyone expects him to say something to Ruan Xiao, he unexpectedly slowly kneels in front of Ruan Xiao.

Ruan Jin lowers his head and speaks with a hoarse voice, “Uncle, I’m sorry…”

“All along, we misunderstood you.”

As Feng Zhan utters these words, a bitter taste lingers in his throat, and for a moment, he doesn’t know how to describe his current feelings.

Guilt, regret, heartache…

At the same time, there is a strong sense of unease. What should he do? How should he face the man he has hurt all along, now that he knows everything? kSnGVe

Ruan Xiao remains calm, his expression indifferent and numb, as if he doesn’t care about these outcomes at all.

On the side, Xia Sheng couldn’t contain his curiosity any longer. Frowning, he stares intently at the two who have been acting strangely since entering the room, demanding, “What’s going on here?”

It turns out that these past few days, Feng Zhan had hired professionals to specifically investigate the events from back then. He only learned everything this morning.

It appears that after Ruan Xiao adopted Ruan Jin, he was concerned that his busy career wouldn’t provide a stable and warm family atmosphere for Ruan Jin. Therefore, he intended to find an educated and harmonious family to foster Ruan Jin. Of course, he would also pay a high living allowance. VOTFIx

However, someone had sinister motives in this matter.

That person was none other than the Ruan family’s housekeeper.

At the time, Ruan Xiao was busy with the company, so he entrusted the matter to the housekeeper. The housekeeper coveted the high monthly living allowance and found a distant relative to impersonate an educated family, seizing the opportunity to foster Ruan Jin.

Certainly, no one could have anticipated someone being so unscrupulous. So, at that time, Ruan Xiao had no suspicions and entrusted Ruan Jin to that family. yFkiPw

The poor relatives used Ruan Jin’s living allowance to settle in the city. Initially, they were cautious to avoid exposure, so they treated Ruan Xiao decently. However, as they gradually discovered that the housekeeper was deliberately concealing and covering up, and with a high probability that no problems would arise, they became more and more audacious. Later, they were dissatisfied with the current situation and became increasingly bold.

The couple also had an Omega son, who, despite being older than Ruan Jin, was in the same grade. Because of the son’s pampered upbringing, he had no academic achievements. After graduating from junior high school, no high school was willing to accept him.

At this moment, a message from Ruan Xiao’s side arrived, saying that arrangements had been made for Ruan Jin to attend one of the top-quality high schools in the country.

The couple then had the idea of having their son replace Ruan Jin in attending school. Subsequently, using the excuse that Ruan Xiao had abandoned him, they forced him to drop out of school and arranged for him to live in the basement. Their son took advantage of Ruan Jin’s name and entered that school. l2m7qo

This continued until Ruan Jin could no longer bear it and ran to the Ruan family once again seeking help. However, Ruan Xiao was never at home during the day, so the housekeeper naturally stumbled upon him. Fearing exposure of the events of recent years, the housekeeper pretended to inform Ruan Xiao of the situation Ruan Jin had brought, but in reality, it was just to placate him. Later, they collaborated with the couple, inconspicuously selling the teenage Ruan Jin to a private club.

Afterward, Ruan Jin accidentally met Feng Zhan, and the subsequent events unfolded as everyone now understood.

Ruan Jin hadn’t lied, and Ruan Xiao had spoken the truth from beginning to end. No one had expected that what seemed like a simple fostering arrangement would involve so many unscrupulous individuals.

If it weren’t for Feng Zhan’s sudden suspicion and urgent investigation, they might have forever remained in the dark. p78zrQ

But when the truth was laid bare, they suddenly didn’t know how to face that man.

He was truly… so innocent.

Listening to everything, Ruan Xiao maintained his indifferent expression. The phoenix-like eyes, devoid of emotional fluctuations, slowly scanned the people in the room.

Regardless of whether it was love or family bonds, the three people in the room were individuals to whom he had once sincerely devoted himself, yet they had wounded, betrayed, and deceived him beyond recognition. RyXmBt

Fortunately, he took everything in stride, never holding grudges for the hardships he endured.

However, now they were each vying to apologize and repent before him, displaying such heart-wrenching remorse. But what use did it have?

Could it return him to his previous status, restore his legs, or perhaps transform him back into an Alpha?

  1. I feel like Ruan Xiao has mistakes regarding the bringing up of Ruan Jin. How can he not visit him just once, normal uncles without adopting see their nieces 2-3 times a year at least. All and all he was super neglectful of his only blood relative and a child he adopted. As he can see throwing only money doesn’t fix many things. Of course, Ruan Xiao never deserved any of this, still after all I can’t criticize Ruan Jin considering what he has been through.

      • Yeah same, it would be nice if the author makes him realize this. But it might be a bit of a stretch. Also, I hope he never gets together with FZ for the sake of both. Love the profile pic ❤️

        • Nah ! This won’t happen. This story has many loopholes and not deep enough to delve into matters of this much importance.

I’m not a fan of either FZ or XS . Both irritates the hell out of me.

And thank you. Piplup is love ❤️

    • 100% agree. I actually feel really bad for RJ. He was so young and unable to protect himself, and his uncle gave him no way to reach him for help. This is some real Series of Unfortunate Events melodrama.

I don’t think RX deserved what happened to him at all, but he is certainly not free of blame.

    • I do agree that the reason they started to abuse him was the fact that he didn’t check on him but it also not right to say that it’s his fault. He shouldn’t be held responsible for another person’s child especially when the child barely related to him but he did took up the responsibility when he isn’t ready to be a parent. Would the child be happier if he didn’t? An omega in government foster care?

  2. Wait a second, Ruan Jing lived in the basement for a year, right? RX truly didn’t have any time to pay his nephew a simple 5-minute visit or even call him, ask about his well-being, or check on his new parents?

What he did was delegate his nephew’s rights to the housekeeper and simply wash his hands of the matter.

This was so reckless, so reckless.

Such a b- tycoon has time on his hands to change lovers, but doesn’t have a single minute to check on his only family member?

He’s wrongly accused , but is he completely right too ?

  3. I don’t think RX should be admonished for his behavior, this is a man who grew up nearly an orphan and in abject poverty, suddenly thrust into a role no-one wanted him to have that he has to protect. He’d never been ‘parented’ and so doesn’t know how to raise a child, beyond that, his best bet for providing a good and stable life for Ruan Jin was through the company he had just inherited… trying to learn both at the same time was never going to work, and even still, he knows that without the company he can’t properly take care of RJ so it makes sense that he hyper-focused on that.

Also, when RX adopts RJ, he himself is also very young…it’s easy to say he was this and that and negligent/neglectful, but again, this is a young person, being thrust into a prominent position at a young age after being abandoned as an illegitimate child and raised in abject poverty. He’s not going to know everything or do everything well, and he did what he thought was best given the circumstances.

Of course RJ was wronged, and of course there are things RX could do better, but taking into account the wider circumstances, I think he genuinely tried his best.
