  1. The Fu parents come across as quite incompetent, dumping their youngest son on the busy elder one. Also, I don’t feel sorry for FML, I just really want to give him a beating for snooping around another person’s place and stealing from them. It doesn’t matter how important the stolen thing is, what matters is that it belongs to someone else! These people who don’t think before they act or talk are really bothersome! >:(

    But at least there’s some sweetness with Shen Qi and Fu Mingyuan, that calmed me down a bit.

    • As an older sibling, i feel very soft hearted towards fml. Im not saying he’s right or anything, but ive raised my little brother too and spent many days being in fmy’s position. Fml crying and worrying his big brother doesnt love him anymore makes me want to assure that he is still loved even when he makes mistakes. He is a teenager, and from his knowledge his brother never had interested in esports. For all he knows hisbrother placed it in the drawers and forgot about it. He is still wrong, but its not some unforgiveable crime. Siblings, especially younger ones, snoop all the time. Emphasize on still not right.

      FMY did his best. He was right to be stern with fml and sq going ‘u r both in the wrong’ is a bit skewed i think. I think it comes down to fmy putting more impirtance to the autograph than sq – not like negatively. Sq will prolly understand it if he thinks how he acted with fmy’s autograph for lu tan.

      However, I dothink fmy needs to clarify that he is sending fml to their parents bc he thinks the change of perspective will help, and not bc he doesnt love him anymore. Children abandoned by their parents often will assume abandonment first, as shown with fml’s thought process. Its not fmy’s job, but bc he has no other choice i hope the brothers get on better after this. Also leavinv ur younger sibling crying without explaining anything or how they are wrong. Is probably not advisable.

      That is a disaster in the making. Hope fml doesnt run away dramatically in a case of ‘if big brother doesnt want me anymore ill leave first before he leaves me’.

  8. FML was very wrong but SQ has a point. if he feels like the parents dont want him and now FMY is trying to send him away, that is not good.

    I am a big believer in communication with teenagers. FMY needed to sit and actually communicate properly and not feel as if he has to seem perfect all the time.

    Although I dont think hitting him would help lol

    • Also0, to comment on FML’s actions, I once was a teenager, and I’ve done something like this, steal something that I thought was nothing of value from someone else, It was a spur of the moment decision that I did, I dunno why, but eventually I got called out.

      And I lashed out, I knew the moment I got caught, that I was wrong, but the way they accused me felt like I was being suppressed and my mechanisms got me lashing out.

      And you can see the boy’s mentality, he went into a place that was usually off-limits, found a memorabilia from that place, in the spur of the moment showed it to his classmate because peer pressure, and when he was found out felt cornered and all his emotions imploded and exploded.

      Now I am NOT saying he wasn’t wrong, but to hate a person because of a mistake brought about by a single outburst and a specially reasoned offense is wrong.

Hmmm I was brought up in a family where if you try to steal something, my parents would slap our hands, make sure we give the things back, and apologize, then they would lecture us about what we did wrong. So I kinda agree with SQ hehe… Not a beating till he’s sick and blue you know, just give him a lesson so he wouldn’t do that again.

  13. All these comments talking about feeling bad for FML and that FMY went about things wrong are depressing. FML was a little shit because he has no discipline – that’s not FMY’s fault – this is not FMY’s kid! He’s taken care of this young adult for years because their parents are incompetent; he’s been working, raising this kid, and FML is well-cared for, healthy, and safe. FMY has gone above and beyond as a brother; faulting this non-parent for having less than perfect parenting skills is just a very bad take. If FML lacks parenting, it’s because he lacks PARENTS; has nothing to do with FMY who is a saint of a brother. 😒

Even if he wasn’t flunking school, which he is. FMY has his own career also! His parents are not in the grave. They aren’t deathly ill. What is stopping them from raising THEIR child??! These are not some friends or distant relatives for them to call up on occasion. What two-person world — GO COLLECT YUH PITNI.

  15. If someone use or get one of my things without giving me a notice or not asking me, I always get annoyed. That’s my pet peeve. I am not stingy or such but you know, asking for a permission is a basic human right. If you ask, I could give it to you or let you borrow my things. Asking their permission also sometimes mean that you respect that person. I mean, for sure, most of us value and care about our belongings, right? And to think that Fu Mingli even gave those belongings to those classmates that he really didn’t “know” in personal level, to think that those things aren’t his to begin with. If that was me, I would also get angry.

    As for Fu Mingyuan, he just doesn’t know how to communicate with the “younger generations.” Fu Mingli may grew up with him but mostly he’s out of the town or their home, it’s one of the reason why he can’t understand him. That’s his fault… atleast for me.

    But I hope they could resolve it immediately and it won’t create a big gap between them.

  16. As someone who has read countless danmei novels, it seems like absent parents is a big theme there lol. I guess the whole “left behind child” problem is still real in China. But even when parents are rich and have no real need to foist their youngest on their eldest child, I just think that behavior is super selfish! And absurd. If you had a child and didn’t want to raise him, why didn’t you just use a condom? Or did you just consider him to be a spare? Smh… tbh, this isn’t as bad as the asshole parents in After I Became an Omega, I Caressed the Campus Hunk’s Dragon Tail. Those parents just directly mailed their son who was still an unhatched egg to their eldest. Not to mention the mom was a huge bitch… and a hypocrite to boot.
