You know chinese novels have their ‘genre’ or ‘trope’ sometimes right for example ABO, Guide & Sentinel, Entertainment Circle etc so this zerg world is basically the same as those. There are 3 genders: Males, Females, and Subfemales. All are men in appearance. Difference between females and subfemales is that female has a manly/robust body and can get pregnant while subfemales have a ‘soft body’ but they can’t get pregnant. Males are just normal weak guys but they have a high social status due to their scarce numbers and importance to prevent extinction of the whole species. Well, thats the basic setting but different authors may change it according to their own ideas. Further explanation will be found throughout the novel, of course.
