“Story of Another Us” Character Sheet

This includes notes that aren’t spoilers, mostly just stuff I couldn’t put in the novel. I will update along the way. Mostly just main characters so if you want me to include other characters, please comment below.

Decebal “Sebi” Yan

Age: 19 (a few weeks before turning 20 at the start of the novel)

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Chinese, Romania

Ability: Telepathy, telekinesis

Notes: Decebal is a name taken from the name of the last Dacian king, Decebalus, famous for fighting off Romans in three wars with varying successes. I just also found out recently that he’s regarded as a national hero in Romania. 

Headmaster Philippa Juno

Age: 41

Position: Headmaster of the Academy of New Humanitarian Science

Ethnic Lineage: Roman

Ability: Increase and decrease the ability of other humans

Notes: Sebi just deserves a really great parent.

Augustine Necomir Aquila

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Nubian, Italian (Past Universe) Roman (New Universe)

Features: Tawny skin, golden eyes, black hair with white streaks

Ability: Clairvoyance (can gain information from the past and present through skin contact, gets premonitions about the dangers he might face)

Note: I wanted to call him Nero, like that mad Roman emperor, but then I came up with Necomir which sounds pretty original and futuristic to me.

Bellona Yahontov

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Russian

Features: Straight blond hair, clear green eyes

Ability: Teleportation

Notes: While she is Russian, her name is the same as a Roman goddess of war. The Terrarian Star System is heavily influenced by the Romans, so her being Russian yet having a Roman name shows it. It’s like… Asian people having to use Western names bc westerners butcher it or because of colonization lol.

Chunmi Alvarez

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Korean, Filipino

Features: Short black hair, black eyes

Ability: Technopathy

Notes: I just wanted to give my nationality some representation, and there’s a lot of Koreans in my country too hahaha. Also, she’s a cute balance to Bellona’s chaotic energy.

Akhenaten Hiraoka

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Egyptian, Japanese

Features: Clean cut black hair, hazel eyes

Ability: Force field manipulation

Notes: I wanted to write a silly husky-like character who can be Bellona’s wingman.

Light Cheosakul

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Thai

Features: Blond hair, brown eyes, terracotta skin

Ability: Illusion manipulation

Notes: I wanted to write this cool and playful character who would ride or die with Sebi even after years of him being gone and having a new friend group. 

Aristotle Ramirez

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Greek, Mexican

Features: Black hair, brown eyes

Ability: Spatial manipulation

Notes: I made this stoic and calm character to balance out Light’s playfulness and [the past] Sebi’s domineering demeanor. 

Alexandra Adebisi

Age: 20

Education Level: 2nd Year College

Ethnic Lineage: Nigerian, American

Features: Hazel eyes, skin like chocolate, curly black hair

Ability: Fire manipulation

Notes: I have a huge crush on China Anne McClain, so she’s the person I imagined as Alex especially with the visuals of fire and flames around her ahhhh also, her surname Adebisi has origins from the Yoruba people meaning “the king/crown/royalty produced more”.
