Heart struggled with all of Saint’s bags, his backpack backwards and hanging in front across his stomach as he tried to juggle Saint’s three rolling luggage cases in both hands.

Sweat beaded down the sides of his forehead and a few of his bangs tickled back and forth in his eyes from the light breeze. Heart blew at them trying to get them out of his face, all while glaring deadpan at Saint. Saint walked beside him, one hand in his pocket the other holding his briefcase slung over one shoulder. Casually approaching the resort as if there weren’t the sounds of a dying heatstricken human being behind him. 6NIToy

Heart puffed and wheezed.

“Is there a reason you had the taxi let us off at the beginning of this long ass driveway instead of in front of the resort?” Heart whined.

“We shouldn’t really be seen here. So I need to arrive like a normal person.”

Heart blinked up at Saint dumbfounded. pyb Pm

“This is normal?”

“Mhhmm, Yeah.”

“How?”

“We arrived normally. I know most people don’t arrive in private limousines so I had them drop us off where no one would see us arrive in one.”

“Saint, if we arrived normally we wouldn’t have trekked half a mile in suits up a dusty street with four bags of luggage. We would have taken a taxi cab like all regular people do.”

“They do?”

Heart rubbed his face with his palms as this overwhelming urge to smack Saint rolled through his body.

‘He is your boss, he is your boss, he is your boss.’ Heart thought like a mantra in his head. o 0OsJ

“Next time I will leave the normal stuff to you. Kit was pretty sure we would just have to walk like normal people do around the city. I shouldn’t have taken his word for it.”

“Saint, normal people walk around a city a few blocks with maybe a book bag, they are not walking through a forested area carrying these.” Heart stated angrily thrusting the bags at Saint.

Saint smacked his lips. “Ahh, noted.”

Heart grimaced, took his backpack off, reversed it onto his back and walked towards the front door just as someone came out in all white shirt and all white shorts and bowed at them. Heart walked right past too aggravated to say anything. kSVQX3

“Someone else can handle your damn bags.” Heart grumbled.

The automatic doors opened and this large rush of cool air smacked Heart in the face, caressing his exposed sweaty skin. Heart thought he would melt.

“Hi, my boss and I have reservations for two rooms for Ni.” Heart started.

“Nooo, we don’t,” Saint interrupted. Heart looked at him confused. Saint gave him a look that was loud, like giant flags, fog horns blaring the message. One that was screaming Shut up, keep your mouth shut now. Psx l1

“Wweee don’t, but we just want to get some rooms.” Heart finished.

The girl looked the two of them up and down. Taking in their sweaty, slightly disheveled appearance. She grimaced a little leaning away from the counter. Her mouth turned at the corners.

“Of course, Sirs, let me just take a look here at what we have, okay.” She made a few small clicks on the computer, typing lightly. Her hands barely clicked the keys, she smiled politely, but the smile failed to reach her eyes and she kept looking past Heart and Saint as if waiting for someone.

“Hello, dear guests. I hear you are looking for a room.” Came a bright female voice from behind us. pSWal

A taller woman with smooth umber skin wearing a beautiful dress, with a cute little red hotel blazer over top of it, dark eyes, and long dark hair with bangs walked up to us. A cheerful smile and a happy glint in her eye.

“Welcome to our resort. I am Jennie. I am the manager here. I heard that you sweet, gentlemen are looking for a room?” Jennie motioned with her hands as she talked, before gently letting it settle on Heart’s right bicep.

“You see, I would absolutely love to help you guys out. I love helping.” She nodded as if to assure us it was all true while petting Heart’s arm gently. The girl behind the counter nodded her head along with Jennie, almost like a parrot.

“Oh, yes sweat.” Saint eyed her, glaring as if he would carve her and offer her for their next meal special. He reached out, grabbed Heart and pulled him closer to his body.

Jennie raised an eyebrow.

“Oi, of course I want to help but we don’t have a single room right now. Not one with two beds.”

“One bed?” Heart asked hopeful. VtdgiG

“Oh, you sweet baby.”

“No” Jennie waved her hand as if it was final.

“But I feel so bad for you handsome gentlemen walking all the way out here, in your suits, using all those muscles… To drag your bags out here. So what I can do is we can get you some refreshments, coconut water, something to snack on, a damp cloth, someone to help you wipe away your sweat. I am the manager. I have a lot of experience. I would be happy to help.” Jennie offered.

“Thanks.” Saint said, his voice gentle, but his eyes still possessive and his arm still tightly wrapped around Heart’s waist. IrhcK6

Jennie folded her hands across her chest. “Ahayah, calm down handsome. I won’t eat him.” She said then sashayed behind the counter.

“Berry, send some fruit and water to the front for some guests, please. And some damp towels too. No, NO, we don’t need any extra towels. Unless for my tears, maybe I will need one to wipe away my single tears.” Jennie smiled at them as if she were just speaking to another customer not about the very people in front of her loud enough for them to hear.

Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment as the voice on the other end said something to her. “I have not been single forever… No they are even better, like supermodels. Yes, okay, Buh bye.”

Jennie hung up, then looked back at the two of them with a pleasant smile and a mischievous look in her eye. yN3jfe

Jennie sashayed from behind the counter to stand beside the two of them. “While we wait I just remembered there is a single room here.”

“There is!” Heart exclaimed, smiling brightly, then reached out and grabbed Jennie’s hands holding them in his own.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

“Yes, mine.” Jennie said.

Saint grabbed and pulled both of Heart’s hands free. FTWjid

Jennie smiled awkwardly before tapping her hands on her leg gently.

“I will invite both of you. There is all good food, nice soft bedding, a place to sleep. I don’t snore or have any weird sleep habits.”

“Perfect roommate.” She stated pointing at herself.

“No,” Saint said, cutting her off. UdFAd

Jennie pouted, making a sour face.

“You know being pretty on the outside isn’t everything, yeah, inside counts too.” She said. Then she sashayed back to behind the counter and started whispering with her colleague.

“This is why my mother says, you can have someone ugly, but if he is nice, loves you and you get food on your plate, then that’s good enough.”

“Yes, yes.” The other girl nodded. A3idZP

Saint rolled his eyes and turned away, ignoring the two of them, and instead heading towards the sign that said Lounge, in English.

Heart followed behind him.

“She was just trying to help.”

“She was just too close.” 4EodGM

“Close?” Heart asked.

“She wasn’t too close.”

“She was.” Saint insisted stubbornly.

“What was she too close to?” ELabkW

“You’re sweat.”

Saint stopped to glare at Heart.

Heart stared back at him unimpressed by Saint’s antics.

They both sat down in two large chairs, just as someone came up to them with a tray. Saint crossed his long legs at the knees. Pulling off cool and chic business class effortlessly. Heart sighed, realizing this guy hadn’t told him why he was trying to act normally. But he glanced at him from top to bottom. RXbrw

‘Whatever the reason you are doing this Saint, you are failing. Horribly.’ Heart thought as he watched the person set it down.

“Your waters and snacks, Sir. Enjoy.”

“Thank you.” Heart responded politely.

Saint nodded. “Mhhm” JqXjKG

Heart sighed, giving up on getting anything other than growly bear out of Saint when he was hot, sweaty and annoyed with women. So instead he sipped the water, and enjoyed feeling a reprieve from the heat.

“Would it kill you to answer back?” He asked as he set the cup down.

“Mhhm.” Saint raised an eyebrow. Heart just rolled his eyes.

Saint smiled. “Just drink your drink.” YlotGg

Heart nodded, gulping it down to try to quench his parched throat. They had probably been walking a good fifteen minutes.

Saint began drinking his own quickly, but instead of using the straw he picked his drink up and gulped it.

Heart watched Saint’s adam’s apple bob up and down energetically.

A growing warmth oozed from Heart’s stomach and upward. Heart sucked the liquid into the back of his throat too hard, causing him to cough a little, and he sputtered around it. xdtuCJ

Saint stopped drinking and looked at him, but before he could say anything Heart started waving it away.

“I’m fine, he croaked,” swallowing and clearing his throat at the same time while talking.

Heart coughed, smiling slightly.

Saint lifted his phone and tapped at it. z8A3tv

“I called a taxi.”

“Since the bags are heavy, and it’s what we normals would do, anyway.”

Heart shook his head, but couldn’t hide his smile. GAbdhq

“Normal’s wouldn’t call themselves normals.”

Jennie waltzed into the room.

“Fresh towels for my handsome customers, huy.”

Heart took his towel with a small bow. “Thank you, Miss Manager.” Bo7w8T

“Oi,” Jennie blushed and giggled.

“You can call me Jennie, sweetie.”

Jennie looked over at Saint, who glared at her again.

“Oi, here you go, grumpy boy.” oixspc

“Here is your towel too.”

“Thank you.” Saint said.

They both turned to look at him, silence filling the air. Heart’s eyes widened.

Jennie gave him a look. “Ahhh, I’m sorry for whatever I did.” Then she walked away quickly. DhzqcI

“What did I say?” Saint turned to look at Heart.

“That was pretty scary. I thought my heart was going to stop beating.”

“This is your fault.” Saint grumped.

“My fault? How is it my fault?” Heart asked incredulously. ICxHyd

“You told me to say thank you next time.”

Heart shook his head, indigent. “How was I supposed to know your thank you’s are scarier than your scowling is?”

Saint turned away, sniffing lightly.

“Oh yeah, why wasn’t I supposed to tell them who you are?” Heart whispered. btWGof

Saint turned his head from looking out the front window and blinked slowly.

“The cab is here.”

Heart sighed, stood up, then collected all the bags in his hands.

Saint reached forward, ripping three of the four bags out of his hands. kgiZxq

“What are you doing?”

“Don’t you want me to carry those?”

“You looked like a struggling turtle, and I don’t have all day.” Saint said walking off.

Heart shook his head, threw his backpack over his shoulder, and rolled the one bag out to the car. QTmyEo

  1. Saint trying to be “normal” pifftt 😂. Why am I thinking this is a getaway with Heart instead of a business trip? Buh I could be wrong.
