High turned to Tone and they both chuckled, then sat down.

High burst out laughing.
“Tone’s right, he put up that front initially, he did it with us too, but he came and found us the next day and we have become friends ever since.”
“How long is the trip?” Tone asked.
“Three days. The weekend, I’ll bring him back late Monday night.”
“Wait, does this mean we will have to listen to him whine about Demon Lord in messages all weekend?” Tone piped up surprising everyone.
High shushed him.
Saint glowered. “I told you not to call me that.”
“Actually, we kinda had to because neither of you did a proper introduction so all we know you as is Demon Lord.” High said sheepishly.
Saint looked puzzled for a second, then smiled. “Huh, look at that we really didn’t. Normally I have better manners than that. That kid.. He sure is distracting.” He said watching Heart disappear.
He smiled up at them. “Sorry, I’m Saint.”
Tone snickered “Oh gosh, it all makes sense now. The constant mumbling Heart was doing these past two weeks.”

He turned and walked away, but not before hearing.
“Do you wanna head to the bathroom, I gotta go.” High asked.

“My shirt is wrecked from the curry sauce at lunch.” I don’t want people to see, just walk in front of me for a bit.”
“Sure, while we are fixing your shirt we can fix your face.” Tone poised.
“Wait, nothing can fix that, do you just want to stick your face in my shirt so you are not embarrassed about people seeing the mess you made like the little child you are?” Tone teased.
High reached back and slapped him in the back of the head.
“Yeah, I wanna cuddle you till the bathroom, then go in there together. Are you damaged?” He said annoyed.
Tone rubbed the back of his head and mouthed ouch.
Saint walked back to his car, feeling triumphant but also slightly jealous.
‘Having friends… Like that. He had people who loved him there was Kit, and Ten… his grandfather. But love, friends, someone to rely on without the worry of their betrayal, he couldn’t.’
Saint’s heart twitched in pain. He remembered the heartbreak.
‘I will never cut you down for who you are, hold your head up with dignity. You are a beautiful person no matter who you love, okay? I could never hate you for anything. I love you…’
His screams of defence at Kit… ‘He isn’t here for the money, he loves me.’ Ben’s and Saint voices echoed inside his memories.

Saint stared out the window in his car while waiting for Heart to get back.
‘I want you, so badly, I know how these words make you feel. How scared you are to open up. But I promise I won’t hurt you, this is real, our love isn’t wrong, ignore people.’ Ben’s voice echoed deep in his thoughts.
Saint sighed, trying to ignore that deep foreboding voice that said the road he was heading down with Heart was doomed, dangerous, and that it would end up with someone seriously tortured and broken inside.
‘It feels like a part of me is missing, like I have tried so hard to put it back together, and then Heart came and it’s like he put me back together instantly. I don’t know what to do, what to say. I just want to hold him. I want to kiss him. I want to be with him. Clutch him tightly to my body and never let him go.’
‘I don’t know why I have such a strong desire to protect him, to hurt him, to make him feel every emotion there is.’
‘God knows I want him. I just want him.’
Saint sighed.
But then that voice reminded him.
‘No, you are alone… You have to be.’
‘You can’t afford to be friends with anyone, let alone lovers. Anything more than toys to play with, and they will end up like her…. Like the others.’
