The Black Saint is My StalkerCh46 - Weird flash marriage thing

Graham randomly showing at Han Li’s door was slowly becoming a norm in his life. So by that logic, he shouldn’t be alarmed. And he wasn’t. Han Li was perfectly peachy, opening his door and letting the guy in.

“Sorry, just finished eating and trying to clean up,” Han Li half lied, swooping towards the coffee table to collect the scraps that had been sitting there for at least an hour. 5 gXKQ

There was an anime that played on his TV, as always, serving as the ever-present backdrop to his cozy little abode. Han Li didn’t feel ashamed, not even when it was some dumb ecchi harem with 2D boobs flapping and jiggling all over the place.

In fact, he had come to realize over the past few days that Graham seemed to hold a particular interest in anime boob physics, never failing to be entranced by their appearance on the screen. Sue Han Li for being so damned intrigued. He watched curiously, seeing how the Saint of Eternity stood like a monument in his living room with a perfectly stoic countenance. And yet, despite his stoicism, the Saint of Eternity had his eyes plastered to the TV screen, his winter jacket still hanging off his shoulders.

So Han Li allowed this to go on for a minute. Then two minutes. Until he couldn’t take it anymore and interrupted the silence between them with a snicker, “Pfft. Earth to Saint Graham. I know 2D titties are great and all but are you going to take off that jacket or what?”

Graham met Han Li’s gaze with a frown. There was a tiny crease between his brows and Han Li found himself hypnotized by this subtle display of concern. “Forgive me,” There was a tiny sigh that slipped in with his usual monotone drawl. Graham shrugged off his jacket, only discarding it on Han Li’s couch after folding it neatly first. “Might I trouble you with changing the television channel? These Housian cartoons are awfully distracting. They truly have no respect for physics or human anatomy.” iCgDXs

Han Li’s amusement only soared at the words. He leaned in, unwittingly interested, eyes wide with mirth. “Seriously, Grams, I would have never pinned you at that type of perv. But hey, I’ll respect a dude’s tastes. If you want, I can even recommend you some good doujins.”

“…” Graham’s brows only furrowed further so Han Li counted it as a success. “The meaning of your words continues to escape me. But I know you well enough to recognize your ill intentions, Han Li.”

“No ill intentions,” Han Li shrugged casually as he finally backed away to properly put the dishes in the sink. “And plus, if you’re allowed to tease me, shouldn’t I be allowed to tease you in return?”

“Hm,” Graham huffed, remaining standing in the middle of Han Li’s studio apartment. Perhaps there was a time Han Li would have felt disconcerted but now, he was long used to the Saint of Eternity’s odd presence. “I see. You have a point. But should this be the arrangement of our relationship then I ask that you bear no ill regards towards me should I retaliate such teasing. With teasing, of course, as it is only appropriate.”

“Deal,” Han Li hummed as he sauntered past the Saint to the controller that lied on the coffee table, changing the channel as Graham requested. The jiggling tits faded away to prepped-up housewives bitching at each other using cheesy one-liners. Han Li turned the volume down but didn’t bother turning off the TV, he liked a bit of background noise, even if it was for the most part pointless. “You can take a seat you know? Make yourself at home and all that jazz.”

But Graham, as always, did not comply with Han Li’s words and remained standing. In fact, the Saint of Eternity approached him, which made Han Li pause, a brow raised in question, “What is it? Don’t tell me I have something on my face.”

Just what was irresistible!?

Before Han Li had a chance to cry out in protest, he was interrupted, “In truth, I had come here bearing bad news.”

“Bad news,” Han Li echoed. PDs1vT

“Correct,” the pointed frown on Graham’s face was quite telling.

Han Li was quite a master at that point, able to discern the difference between Graham’s joking and serious face. It was that subtle drop in his lids, the stiffness that settled in his jaw and stole off jovial hints from his drawl-like voice. “What is it?” Han Li asked, voice even and matching Graham’s somberness.

But Graham only frowned and did not deliver the news right away. “First, I would like to extend an apology in advance. I know that it might not sate your discontent but… Hm. I merely assumed that it was better than nothing.”

Han Li raised a brow. Once again, he found himself inexplicably drawn, inching closer to see if there was any sincerity with the way Graham’s brows might crease or the corner of his lips might tighten. “What? What’s this, a gift?” Under any other circumstance with any other person, Han Li had enough tact to refuse. But this was Graham so he felt as though he got a bit of a free pass in being a needy brat. This asshole owed it to him anyway. “C’mon, Grams! Show me.” bdI6s3

He tried to contain the bounce in his heels, not wanting to come across like an eager puppy even if he kind of felt like one at heart. He observed with great interest as Graham reached into his black blazer pocket with his gloved hand. Han Li breath stuttered when he saw a jewelry box being pulled out.

The words spilled from his lips before he could stop himself, “Oh fuck, dude. This better not be a proposal or weird flash marriage thing. I know you’re hot and all but I’m not ready for the married life. Don’t you think it’s a bit too fast or that?”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Graham raised a brow, equally interested in Han Li’s panicked shuffling. Was the boy genuinely troubled, or was he putting on an act for…ah, what was it that the youth called it again? Oh right. Memes.

And thus, Graham kept quiet, watching Han Li mutter and fidget as he presented the velvet-covered jewelry box. In hindsight, it truly was no different than the fashionable boxes used for proposals nowadays, but Graham hadn’t made the connection when he made the purchase. He wondered if he ought to get down on one knee, simply to sell the act further. A part of him thought it would be amusing. h4QDJq

Alas, Graham refrained and presented the box as is. “Here.”

Cautiously, Han Li reached for it, wondering if it might have been one huge elaborate prank. At this point, he would put it past the Saint of Eternity. Despite the dude’s statuesque face, Graham wasn’t above pettiness or stupid jokes.

But Han Li only ended up even more stunned when he opened up the box.

He stared at its contents, eyes wide and confusion evident in his face. “Wait, is this really a marriage proposal? I don’t get it, Graham.” YfzbEJ

“It’s not a ring,” Graham said, reaching over to pluck the silver piece from its tiny silk bedding, showing Han Li the latch on the back before gently placing the piece in Han Li’s palm. “It’s an earring. I merely thought it was something that might suit your aesthetics. It is, unfortunately, not much. But I hoped that it might turn your opinions of me a bit more favorable.”

Han Li scowled at the thing, imagining the copious amounts of money it undoubtedly cost. There was no way that Graham would settle for anything cheap. “Geez, so you’re trying to manipulate me and win my feelings with gifts now, huh?”

“Hm,” Graham nodded. “That is true. But you can just see it as doting instead.”

“How the hell is this doting when you have an ulterior motive and everything?” Han Li hummed without any real gripe. y vLZx

“Simple. You must ignore it, that is all. My sincerity is true.”

“…Right.” As if Han Li was going to trust this guy.

“Hm.” And yet Graham nodded, his expression still and resolute. Wait, did he really think that Han Li was just going to take those words at face value? Or was this another prank?

Han Li shook his head and sighed to himself. This man was unbelievable at times. No scratch that, he was unbelievable at all times. “And so? What was this news that was terrible that you had to go out of your way to buy into my heart?” siZ34S

Graham huffed, his arms crossed over his chest, “Ah yes. About that matter. It seems that you have been conscripted into a very troubling mission.”

Han Li blinked, “What?”

“Do you recall that S-Rank mission I have told you about before? Well, it appears that you will be coming along as well.”

“…” WdfZC

What the fuck?

No wonder Graham went out his way to get Han Li a gift for this shit.

  1. …I- I’m not really against them getting married…I mean… Not now but consider it…

Thank you for the chapter!!! ❤️❤️

  2. Glad he didn’t continue the act, because even if I would love to see them together, right now without the proper feelings, I think that would be a bit too much. AND I hope Han Li gets a bit more that just a costly earring for being mixed into the S-level mission mess.

    Thak you for the chapter!!!

    • TT w TT;; t-the slow burn with continue to burn on slowly…
Ahem, even if the feelings are slow, there’s still Han Li’s simp meter flaring up every now and then.
      Thank you reading <3

  3. Graham’s cute, i don’t care what anyone says. Also, I love men with earrings (for reasons related to Kurapika and his damn drop earring). It fits both our aesthetics 😌
