Translator's Note

Yuxin shu, basically mind-control. 御 yu in ancient times meant “to drive chariots” and “govern/rule.” Since ancient emperors always used chariots and horses, the meaning expanded to include all matters of “reign” with the emperor. 心 xin is heart, but can also mean “mind” or “intent” in a wider context. To 御心 yuxin is to lead on/drive someone’s heart/mind/intentions, AKA sway them over to your control. Anyways, I thought it’d be easier to remember a name over more pinyin.
