Another analysis on why would CXL temp. mark him is as he said in previous chapters. GH belongs in the vast galaxy, if he lost his mental power he’d be quite limited in his freedom as he obviously adores using mechas. how can you make CXL watch with his very eyes how GH loses his superior mental power (that hasn’t appeared in centuries and is even stronger that CXL’s) all because of him? (idk I’d also think I’m guilty of triggering his mental riot TWICE, that’s why he’s like a dog begging for forgiveness in this chapter). We still have a loooong way to go with their relationship ^^
