49 woke up with a burning body, breathing hard with a flustered face. Slipping from his bed, 49 laid on the chilly stoned ground, trying to cool his feverish body.
He could feel slick sliding down his inner thigh as he gritted his teeth. Closing his eyes, 49 leaned his head back, taking a deep inhale as he tried to ignore his heat.
The door to his cage opened as Master Wind entered. He had a face mask covering his nose and mouth as he stopped in front of 49, peering down at him with a satisfying smirk.
He crouched down as 49 opened his eyes, defiantly glaring at Master Wind. The man scoffed at the look as he reached forward, getting ready to slip his hand between 49’s legs.
49 quickly slapped his hand away, not caring for the consequences. He would never allow anyone to touch him during his heat—especially an alpha. He even bared his teeth at Master Wind.
Master Wind grew furious, raising his hand to slap the slave, who stared back without a flinch. But, he stopped himself, remembering that he could not leave visible damage on the slave.
Instead, he took out an electric shocker, quickly pressing it against 49’s thigh before pushing the button. The thing turned on as Master Wind set it on medium. Electricity course through 49, causing his fingers to tremble. But he showed no signs of flinching nor screaming.
His mouth rested shut like it always did.
Master Wind grew annoyed, pulling the electric shocker away. He wanted to set it on high voltage but knew that he couldn’t for today. Putting it away, he grabbed the chains, pulling 49 close to where their faces were barely an inch apart.
“Once your fight is over, I will chain you down and have the alphas take turns with you; we will see how long you can keep that mouth shut.” Master Wind promised.
49 growled in response; he would like to see the man try.
Master Wind laughed as he stood up, calling for a cleaner, “Get him cleaned and ready.”
The low-class slave quickly nodded as she entered the cage, getting ready to help 49 up. But 49 pushed her hand away as he stood up on his own. His legs trembled as his hands shook. He continued ignoring the slick that proceeded to slide down him.

They entered the washing room as the cleaner tried to help 49 get ready. But 49 ignored the cleaner, taking care of himself.
He stripped naked, turning the water to freezing cold as he cleaned himself. It was dumb of him to clean before a fight that would have him covered in blood. But, with royalty coming, 49 had to look perfect.
The cleaner stood off to the side, holding a towel as she watched 49. Her eyes took in the number of scars on 49’s legs, back, chest, arms, and even the two on his face—one on his eyebrow and another across his lips.
Her eyes moved towards his head and looked at his buzz cut. From what she heard, ever since 49 first came to Master Wind, his hair was not allowed to grow out. Master Wind would always have it shaved. She wondered if they were hiding something, but she would never investigate it.
Even if she hates her status, the cleaner still wants to live.

His movements grew slower by the second. 49 always ignored his heats with willpower, but that did not stop his weakening body. He clicked his tongue, grabbing two daggers and hooking them to his shoes.
They were only allowed two weapons, and he did not need anything else. Plus, 49 could get everything he required from the battlefield.
Once he finished with everything he needed, he turned towards the quiet cleaner, who continued staring at the floor. When the cleaner felt the gaze, she looked up, peering at his nose rather than his eyes. “Are you ready?”
49 nodded.
“Okay, I will take you to the Area.” Once she started walking, 49 followed behind her with heavy steps.
When they entered the Area, the cleaner walked away, leaving 49 alone. 49 leaned against the wall, letting the coolness spread to his heated skin. He closed his eyes while crossing his arms, listening to the cheers and noise outside.
There was a gate that separated him from the outside.
He stood a few feet from the gate, not wanting to watch anything happening out there. It was boring anyway. Death is something he knew all too well.
“Such a weak fucking woman. An alpha that cannot survive one birth, dying after two years because of the complications it gave her. That is all she needed to do, was have one child while the concubines give the rest.” An older man complained.
Min, no older than two, held onto his father, covering his face in his shirt. They were in his parents’ bedroom as his mother rested on the bed, cold as a snowy day and not breathing. Her eyes laid shut, showing that they would never open again.
After giving birth to Min a couple of years ago, she became sick as the doctor said she wouldn’t last past five months. But, she survived for two years before passing away.
Min’s father growled at his father, baring his teeth. “Do not speak of my wife in this way! She is a strong woman. And I told you I did not want any concubines; she was enough for me. And now, Min is all I need.”
Min’s grandfather scoffed, “Foolish boy, you should have never become the leader of this house. At first, I was proud of you, but you are becoming a disappointment. What if that child becomes an omega? You will have to kill him and start over.”
“I will not!” Min’s father yelled, causing Min to whimper from the sheer loudness. He could barely understand the words they spoke, but one thing he got was ‘death.’
“You will! Omegas cannot be nobles. It is shameful for a noble family to keep an omega child. Don’t make a mistake. I will kill the child myself if he becomes an omega.”
Min’s father swiftly moved, with Min in his arms, before anyone could react. He unsheathed his sword with the speed of lightning, stabbing it into his father’s stomach. “No one touches my child.” He growled the words, watching his father spit out blood.
His father laughed before saying, “At least you can kill right.”
Min’s father pulled out his sword, letting his father fall to the ground. Tears filled Min’s eyes as he tightly shut them, wanting to ignore everything before him. He used his father’s shirt as his only lifeline while the smell of blood took over.
He heard the sword clutter to the ground as a hand ran through his dark red hair, showing that he belonged to House Night—a noble house. “I will never allow anyone to hurt you.”
Too bad his father could not keep his promise as his uncle took everything away.
“49!” Someone shouted, pushing 49 from his thoughts as he opened his eyes.
“Are you ready? Because you are next.” The person asked, walking towards the handle that lifted the gate.
49 gave the person a glance over before nodding.
The gate opened as he heard the announcer say, “Everyone, give it up for our vicious number one fighter, 49!”
Walking through the open gate, 49 entered the arena as he squinted his eyes, adjusting them to the sudden sunlight.
The cheering crowd became crazier as they smelled 49’s pheromones filling the slight windy air. He ignored them as he continued walking, stopping towards the center. His eyes swept through the crowd before stopping at the royal family.
“Ah, don’t you smell that wonderful scent? 49 is in heat, everyone. There is nothing more exciting than an omega in heat fighting. And you aren’t the only ones excited as we have five alphas ready to take a bite.” The announcer continued.
The gate to the other side opened, but 49 did not pay attention to that. His eyes stopped at a certain prince as he could not look away. The prince felt the same as something dark and enticing filled his eyes.
The look caused Min’s heat to hit harder than before as he dropped to his knees, breathing hard as slick mixed with the dirt under him.
Five alphas, holding weapons, surrounded 49 as his eyes did not glance towards them. They stayed glued to the prince as his body felt like it was on fire—fire like the night he hid in the closet, thinking no one would save him.
The same fire that had him declaring his forgotten revenge.
