The Arrogant Young Master Became Obedient After Being BulliedChapter 32

“There isn’t even a place to sit.” Jiang Zhou frowned and walked to the iron bed to sit down. When he put my palms against the cushion, he realized it was only a thin layer. He could distinctly feel the coolness of the iron plate beneath the cushion. He lowered his gaze and saw that there was only a small quilt neatly folded on the bed, not much thicker than the mattress.

Chen Ju opened the breakfast bag placed on the table. Inside were two large buns and a cup of hot soy milk, much more appetising than the plain steamed buns he had just had. He couldn’t help but swallow. daTqeD

No matter how dissatisfied he was, he couldn’t let food go to waste, especially when it was his favorite big meat bun.

Having finished breakfast, under Jiang Zhou’s gaze, Chen Ju began packing his luggage. There were still more than forty minutes left before he had to go to work, so he needed to hurry.

“Alright, I’m done.” Chen Ju packed his luggage at the fastest speed. He had only recently moved in, so he had very few possessions- just a large backpack and two thin quilts tied with twine.

Jiang Zhou came over, picked up the two small quilts, and threw them onto the iron bed, saying coldly: “I don’t want these.” M7PJ0n

“This too.” A bowl-sized iron porcelain cup was also thrown aside.

“I have slippers there. These old ones can be thrown away.” The blue plastic slippers did not escape the fate of being thrown into the trash can.

“How long have you had this set of pajamas? Throw it away.” Jiang Zhou was about to throw it away when Chen Ju finally couldn’t bear it anymore. He rushed forward, hugged his pajamas tightly, and hid behind the door.

Jiang Zhou frowned, looked at Chen Ju, and extended his hand, and said coldly: “Bring it here.”

Chen Ju held onto his pajamas tightly, turned his head away, refusing to meet Jiang Zhou’s eyes, and resisted to death: “These set of pajamas is still in good condition. No, I can’t throw it away.”

“It’s so small, are you sure it still fits you?” Jiang Zhou looked down coldly and picked up his bulging backpack. “Chen Ju, you choose for yourself. Keep those pajamas or throw away all of this stuff.”

The next moment, the pajamas were thrown into the trash can without mercy.

Two minutes later, the previously bulging backpack had been thrown to the ground, with only half of its contents remaining, deflating like a punctured balloon.

Chen Ju was distressed. These items were all things he had saved and acquired bit by bit with his hard-earned money. Now they were thrown into the trash like rags.

Reluctantly, Chen Ju shifted his gaze away from the trash can, comforting himself not to dwell on it anymore; he had already thrown it away. Jiang Zhou didn’t like these things, and they would look really ugly in that bright room. 9Ljdak

As soon as he raised his head, Chen Ju’s breath caught in his throat. He saw Jiang Zhou holding a bag containing Christmas gloves.

“Th-this is what I bought!” Chen Ju reached out to grab the bag, but this time Jiang Zhou had more experience. He raised his hand, preventing him from succeeding.

“What is it that you don’t want me to see so badly?” Jiang Zhou raised his eyebrows.

“It’s not anything, just- just…” Chen Ju began to stutter nervously, not knowing what to say, unable to find the right words. Z4I16T

Jiang Zhou didn’t wait for Chen Ju to finish, opened the bag and took out the contents- a fancy pair of Christmas gloves. Seeing this, his face turned cold, and he stared at the Christmas gloves in his hand. He spoke: “You still have spare money to buy Christmas gifts? How childish. Who are you going to give these to?”

Chen Ju’s cheeks were hot. He lowered his head, staring at his shoes, curling up his fingers and clutching the hem of his clothes. Then he said sheepishly: “Yes, I bought them for you.”

Upon hearing the man’s words, Jiang Zhou’s face was stunned for a moment. His grip on the gloves loosened slightly. He turned his head to look at Chen Ju standing aside, raising his eyebrows, “for me?”

Chen Ju nodded and then said: “I’m sorry. I didn’t know you didn’t like this kind of thing. You, give them back to me.” gGza4M

As he spoke, he reached out to take the gloves back. But just as his fingertips touched them, Jiang Zhou took advantage of his height again and held the gloves high.

“Is there any reason to take back a gift meant for someone else?” Jiang Zhou grabbed Chen Ju’s restless hand and looked down at him with lowered eyes.

Jiang Zhou’s eyes were completely different from earlier. Chen Ju didn’t know why. Thinking of what the uncles said yesterday, the tips of his ears instantly turned bright red.

He lowered his head and stammered: “Secretary Liu said, uh, you don’t like this kind of thing. I originally planned to go and get something else.” uUV7r

“No need to change,” Jiang Zhou put the gloves back into the bag and glanced at his watch. “There are still twenty minutes until nine-thirty. Aren’t you going to work today?”

As he turned to walk just two steps, the back of his collar was seized, and Jiang Zhou pulled him back.

“You’re just going to walk there like this?” Jiang Zhou’s eyes flashed with displeasure.

Chen Ju quickly said: “There is a bus at the entrance…” qEL4Id

Before he finished speaking, his schoolbag was stuffed into his arms, and Jiang Zhou walked ahead of him.

“If you don’t want to be late, just follow me.”

Chen Ju hesitated for a moment, then realized that Jiang Zhou was going to give him a ride. So he immediately trotted to follow him, and couldn’t help but raise the corners of his mouth.

On the way, he couldn’t help but steal glances at Jiang Zhou several times, and at some point, when he looked over again, he met Jiang Zhou’s gaze. dbft39

“What are you looking at? Is my face that good-looking?” Jiang Zhou said solemnly. His expression was unclear, showing no emotion.

“Good-looking!” Chen Ju blurted out, but only after he said it did he realize his mistake. He hurriedly covered his mouth. Jiang Zhou didn’t like people saying he was good-looking.

A soft chuckle rang out in the quiet car compartment. He didn’t know if it was an illusion. Chen Ju actually saw Jiang Zhou smile briefly, only to return to his usual indifferent expression.

Was there anything funny? Or was he the one who was funny? Chen Ju didn’t know, but his heart was beating wildly, as if there was a small drum pounding inside. 2hzMlg

It took ten minutes to drive to the entrance of the shopping mall. When getting out of the car, Chen Ju took another look at the bag placed in the front seat and whispered: “Do you really not want me to go and get another one?”

Jiang Zhou frowned and replied coldly: “It’s all the same. How good can your aesthetics be?”

“Oh, then I’m going to work.” Chen Ju lowered his head and closed the car door. He obediently walked towards the entrance of the shopping mall. After taking only two steps, he stopped, then ran back to the car window, and said with a blushing face. “Jiang Zhou, thank you. I will definitely choose a gift you like next time.”

After Chen Ju finished speaking, he bowed seriously before trotting towards the entrance of the mall. 2Lq3pg

Until Chen Ju’s back disappeared at the entrance, Jiang Zhou’s otherwise indifferent expression flickered with emotion. He withdrew his gaze and looked at the bag placed in the front seat. A faint but hard-to-ignore curve formed at the corner of his mouth. Then he tensed up and muttered in a low voice: “What an idiot.”

  1. Jiang Zhou you idiOT!😩 why can’t you be nice?? In front of him??

Wife-chasing-arc better be long and hard😤

  2. I would’ve kept the gloves regardless of they were cute or not! Jiang Zhou really changes his face so easily! 😒

  3. With every chapter I read I keep the synopsis in my mind. I don’t trust Jiang Zhou’s reactions at all and I look for bad meaning in everything he says and does. I’m sure we have not even seen the worst yet but my dislike for him grows bigger and bigger with each chapter. All I want is for Chen Ju to be happy and nothing else.

    Thank you for the update!
