The Rescue Of The Tragic Villain Is In ProgressCh44 - The Plan Begins

“I have received word from the Palace that the Emperor is sending Lao Wu to Shuofang to suppress the rebels. The decree will be issued in the next few days. Shuofang is far from the Capital, and the battlefield is blind, so we should ambush them on the road.”

As soon as Chu Xinian left, the Crown Prince slowly concealed his previous frivolous appearance. Although he was still careless, his eyes were unfathomable. But for some reason, he did not refer to Emperor Yan as Father but only as Emperor, just like everyone else. nBxdMu

The Crown Prince believed in eliminating weeds and their roots, let alone an enemy like Prince Jin, who could cause him endless trouble.

“This is not hard. Prince Jin has many connections with the officials, but he is new to the army. His contacts are shallow, and it is easy to ambush him.”

On the matter of killing, Xie Jingyuan and the Crown Prince had reached a high degree of consensus. He pressed his fist to his lips, suppressing the urge to cough, and as he looked down, his eyes inadvertently fell on the door. He frowned, looking a little distracted.

The Crown Prince thought about the marriage, “I’ve only been under house arrest for three months, and Concubine Mei made a big move to harm you. New and old grudges are hard to dispel. I will go to the Palace to see the Emperor later and ask him to terminate the marriage.” 5MflHc

Xie Jingyuan frowned and said coldly, “Your Highness, there is no need to do something useless. It will only make the Emperor dislike you more.”

When this marriage was granted, didn’t Xie Jingyuan or the Marquis of Quyang Manor object? Did it serve? The Imperial Decree was announced, and it cannot be breached.

“He never had me in his heart.”

The Crown Prince rose from his seat and recalled the scene when he first saw Chu Xinian, “This person is not simple. With just one look, you can tell that he is unfathomable. I thought you brought a strategist, but it turns out he’s a big problem.”

“A big problem?” Xie Jinyuan raised his eyebrows and chewed on these two words, not denying them.

“I always heard that the eldest son of the Marquis of Quyang, Chu Jiaoping, is very witty and clever. When I saw him at the banquet last year, he was really extraordinary, and I wanted to recruit him. Unfortunately, he had already joined Prince Jin. But it seems that his younger brother is even more extraordinary.”

The Crown Prince felt a little complicated, “Jingyuan, if he is useless, keep him, but if he is a spy sent from the other side, he will be a problem in the future.”

After he finished speaking, he dropped into his chair with an indignant posture, slowly making a throat-slitting gesture at Xie Jingyuan. Although it seemed casual, Xie Jingyuan knew that he was serious. eAcfIF

“Let’s keep him.” Xie Jingyuan only said these words.

The Crown Prince was startled and paused, and looked at him suspiciously, “Why?”

Xie Jingyuan frowned, “He’s still useful.”

The Crown Prince did not reply, staring at him motionlessly. After a while, he said, “Jingyuan, I used to think you had changed a lot, but in reality, you are just like your father. Lineage is something inherent in your bones…” vVB9Lp

Xie Jingyuan was entranced for a moment and muttered, “Will I become like him in the future?”

The Crown Prince’s words were vague, hiding his thoughts.

He shook out his sleeves and rose.

“It’s late, I’m going back to the Palace. In the next few days, Prince Jin will undoubtedly send someone to inquire about the situation, so don’t let anyone have a chance.”

Xie Jingyuan opened the door and saw through the Crown Prince’s words, “Who does Your Highness mean?”

The Crown Prince stood on the steps and stretched, “Naturally, the one you don’t want to kill.” tHAwy8

It’s “don’t want to kill” instead of “don’t kill,” a single word made a big difference. The word seemed to be a knife that quickly opened the hidden thoughts in Xie Jingyuan’s heart, revealing itself under the scorching sun.

Xie Jingyuan’s fingertips tightened, and his expression turned fierce as he said, “If he does anything unusual, I will kill him!”

Addressing both the Crown Prince and himself.

The Crown Prince stretched his muscles and said nothing. It was unclear whether or not he believed Xie Jingyuan. When he saw the eunuch standing, he slapped his hat, “Why are you standing there? Hurry up and prepare the carriage. I get angry every time I see you, idiots.” Hm5del

He then said a casual farewell to Xie Jingyuan and left for the Palace.

Xie Jingyuan stood alone on the steps, watching the Crown Prince leave. He didn’t know what he was thinking, his thoughts stirred by the Crown Prince’s words. He frowned and looked at the attendant beside him, suddenly asking, “Where is he?”

The attendant was confused, not knowing whom he was speaking.

Xie Jingyuan’s face darkened, and he blurted out between clenched teeth, “Chu Xinian.” 5suqy

The attendant finally understood and stammered, “Chu…. Young Master Chu is…”

Not knowing where Chu Xinian was, he stammered for a while unable to answer.

“Stupid.” Xie Jingyuan scolded, striding towards the hall, only to walk through the door and see Chu Xinian sitting on the door steps with a stack of papers on his knees, his head down and writing something.

The trees planted in the courtyard had been cut down and twisted as if they had been uprooted. NbZWkU

Xie Jingyuan stopped his steps and asked System, “Why has it dropped?”

System hummed, “If I knew, I would have told you long ago. Why bother making the mission so difficult?”

Although he had only been with one previous host, he had some experience with these things. It could not be said that he was completely inexperienced with this sort of thing, and suddenly remembering something, he exclaimed in surprise: [Ah! I know!]

Chu Xinian raised his eyebrows, “You know what?” s26RSl

System spun in circles: [If you help Xie Jingyuan get who he likes, the degree of blackening will naturally go down!]

Chu Xinian frowned, “How can I know who he likes?”

There is no romantic subplot in ‘Thousand Years of Feud’, how could Xie Jingyuan like someone?

System replied: [You have to find out for yourself] nZjok3

Chu Xinian knew that System could not be trusted. He was half believing his words when he saw Yun Que coming, and avoiding the ears of the crowd, she quickly walked towards him.

“Young Master.”

Yun Que had a worried frown on her face, lowered her voice, and said, “This maid went to Yuheng Pavilion to take a look, and discovered that since the Crown Prince left, there have been many more guards there, and Jiu Yong is patrolling back and forth with the soldiers. It will be difficult for us to take what we need.”

Chu Xinian was not surprised. He kept the experimental manuscript up his sleeve and said calmly, “In that case, let’s go to Yuheng Pavilion at night and take a look.” j3tfH4

Yu Que was astonished: “Young Master, there are many experts. Even if this maid is wearing night clothes, she can only approach 10 meters at most. Why don’t we wait for them to let their guard down?”

But Chu Xinian smiled and shook his head, “No, tonight I will go myself.”

Yu Que felt that this was impossible and tried to persuade him, “As a descendant of a noble family, how can you go in person without knowing martial arts? General Xie ordered Jiu Yong that anyone who approached without his permission would be killed.”

Even if they managed to enter the Yuheng Pavilion, they might not be able to find the list of military officers. There were so many hidden compartments inside that they would probably be captured before they could find it. hAnTdb

Chu Xinian seemed to have a plan in mind. He whispered something to Yun Que, and then said, “…Do as I say. Find the things and leave the rest to me”.

Yun Que was confused, not knowing what he intended, but could only nod, “Yes.”

At night, the General’s Manor was even more guarded. Xie Jingyuan took the medicine prescribed by the doctor and discovered that the furniture in the room had changed slightly. In addition, the fir tree outside had been cut down.

He rubbed the edge of the medicine bowl with his fingertips looked at the man in white lying on the sofa reading a book, and said in a cold tone, “Chu Xinian, are you trying to destroy this General’s manor and rebel against me?” 6E47gF

Playing with cats and dogs, or even ants, was one thing, but why did he keep breaking things all day?

After a moment of silence, Chu Xinian tossed aside the book in his hand walked towards Xie Jingyuan, and sat down next to him, “General.”

Xie Jingyuan raised his eyebrows, waiting for him to say something else.

Unexpectedly, Chu Xinian asked, “Do you have someone you like?” eAINGk

“What?” Xie Jingyuan was dumbfounded.

Chu Xinian smiled and suddenly took his hand gently. The warmth of his palm touched his and whispered, “Do you have someone you like, General?”

The more you look at a beauty under the light, the more beautiful it becomes. The handsome and extraordinary face of Chu Xinian’s profile looked warm and translucent under the candlelight, and his eyes showed a slight smile that made one blush.

Xie Jingyuan thought it was a ridiculous question, narrowed his eyes, slowly leaned into him, and asked with interest, “What, worried about this General making you a cuckold?” gbTWOc

Chu Xinian’s fingertips were slightly damp, and he wiped Xie Jingyuan’s sleeve a little absently. He tilted his head to look at the man nearby, smiled, and reached up to gently remove the mask on his face.

Xie Jingyuan reflexively turned his head to dodge, but it only made the mask fall off faster, revealing his scarred profile. He froze and unconsciously covered his face, warning in a cold tone, “CHU XINIAN.”

“General, it’s hard enough to wear a mask during the day, so take it off at night.”

The mask in Chu Xinian’s hand still had some residual heat. From a medical point of view, covering wounds is not favorable for healing, even though those wounds are old and have already healed. But wearing a mask also affects the ventilation of the skin. scOjKv

After Chu Xinian finished speaking, he saw Xie Jingyuan staring at him and smiled, “I have always been brave, General. You must not be afraid to scare me.”

“…”

Xie Jingyuan stared at him and said nothing. After a moment, he coldly snorted, turned around, and lay down on the inside of the bed.

When Chu Xinian saw that his back was turned to him, he raised his eyebrows slightly and suddenly felt that Xie Jingyuan was quite an interesting person. He looked out of the window, as dark clouds covered the moon. The night was dark and windy. dPoics

The plan can start now.

  1. Hi, thanks for the update! Just wanted to let you know that this chapter has a section that repeats 3 times which made it kinda confusing to read – I think it starts with Xie Jingyuan’s brow furrowed.

Later on there’s a line: Xie Jingyuan stopped his steps and asked the System – is this meant to be Chu Xinian or does Xie Jingyuan also have a system?
