yesss this is exactly it!! it feels like tanisiel is the only one who actually understands that ethan is the way he is and acts the way he does because of the terrible circumstances that put him in those situations. he’s a product of the absolute depravity of everything around him, and it’s so sad to see people continuously putting the blame on him and never understanding the true depth of the consequences of their own actions.
