“Let’s go out.” Ye Xun cut him off.
Choking on his spit, Chang Min sharply inhaled, “What?”
Ye Xun gave him an amused look at his reaction, “Let’s go out and walk around the park as the ML and MC did in Crystal Beauty. We still have time to watch the sunset.”
Relaxing when Ye Xun made clear what he meant, Chang Min bit his lip. He hasn’t been to the park for a long time. Are there a lot of people at the park? It is getting close to nighttime, so there shouldn’t be.
But then again, he has barely gone outside, so what should Chang Min know?
“Do you not want to go?” Ye Xun asked.
“Uh,” Chang Min started, looking Ye Xun in his eyes. Maybe, he should go. Plus, Ye Xun will be there with him like always.

Ye Xun smiled, looking satisfied with Chang Min’s answer. Chang Min looked away, blushing a bit because Ye Xun had a lovely smile.

Chang Min automatically grabbed Ye Xun’s hand when he noticed the people. Ye Xun did not mind as they walked towards the park.
The park had an oval walking track surrounding it as trees filled the area. A few benches were on the outside of the walking path, while the inside held a small playground.
A couple sat on a bench while three people walked the track. There was even a mother with her son at the playground.
Ye Xun walked them to the track as Chang Min stuck close to him, slightly squeezing their intertwined hands as he looked at the others.
His eyes stopped at the mother and son, watching as they played on the playground. The mother pushed her little boy on the swing as the boy giggled, enjoying the wind and height.
Chang Min could not help his heart tightening at the sight because he thought back to when his parents used to take him to the park. He remembered laughing, his smile never dropping from his face, as his parents pushed him on the swings.
Then, his father would help him climb across the monkey bars while his mother went down with him on the slides. It was fun, exciting, and short-lived.
Because, a few months after that, his aunt and uncle began to take care of him, and Chang Min did not want to go anywhere anymore. He couldn’t even find the same happiness he felt that day.
Ye Xun looked at Chang Min, noticing his mood as he followed his gaze. He looked at the mother and son playing, feeling himself sobering up because he figured what Chang Min was thinking.
“Chang Min,” he called once he turned back to him. Chang Min glanced at him, tilting his head as he wondered why Ye Xun called him. “Do you want to go to the playground?”
Chang Min looked back to the mother and son, who were now going to the slide. He looked down, wanting to play with his fingers because he felt embarrassed for the thought that just went through his mind.
He wants to go to the playground and do all the things he did when he was a happy little child. But isn’t it odd for a grown man to play on the playground made for kids?
“No, it is fine.” Chang Min replied with a low voice.
Ye Xun stared at him for a while before dragging Chang Min over to the playground. Chang Min slightly stumbled from the sudden pull as he looked up, seeing where Ye Xun took him.
“Ah, Ye Xun, I said that we don’t have to.” Chang Min quickly spoke.
But, Ye Xun did not listen to him as he took Chang Min over to the swings. Once they were next to it, Ye Xun abruptly stopped, causing Chang Min to hit his back.
Ye Xun let him go, moving out of the way, “Sit down.” He pointed towards the swing in front of them.
Chang Min flushed. He wanted to sit down so bad, but isn’t it weird for him? He shook his head, grabbing Ye Xun’s sleeve, tugging it, “Let’s just walk around.”
“Chang Min, I know you want to go on the swing. So, sit down and let me push you. There is nothing odd about it.” Ye Xun responded with a stern look.
Chang Min bit his lip, longingly staring at the swing before agreeing. So if Ye Xun did not see anything odd about a grown man playing on the playground, that means it is okay (Chang Min’s logic).
He lets go of Ye Xun’s sleeve, making his way over to the swing, sitting down on it. Chang Min grabbed the chains, holding them as he felt nostalgia hitting him.
Ye Xun moved a few feet behind Chang Min, “Can you start so that I can push you?”
Chang Min nodded, moving back then pushing himself forward. He moved his legs forward, then back as he had a slight speed going.
Then, Ye Xun moved closer, pushing Chang Min’s back as he helped him pick up speed. While Chang Min started to get higher, a broad smile began to form on his face.
The way the wind hit against his face, the sound of the swing going, the pushing on his back, and the way his legs moved took Chang Min back to those once happy days.
His face had a flush to it as he started gleefully laughing.
Ye Xun moved away, walking to the side to see Chang Min having fun. He loved the pure happiness on Chang Min’s face; it was so rare and precious that Ye Xun wanted to engrave it into his memory.
So, he pulled out his phone and started to record Chang Min.
I was supposed to have four chapters ready, but I got a bit busy so I only had two, sorry I will try to get four next Saturday. (It is close to one in the morning here, so it is Saturday for me).
