6. I think we should not blame mentally ill people . The best solution is for them just go to mental hospital while for people who harmed them go to jail .

   I don’t want to forgive them however knowing what they have experienced i can not bring myself to blame them . If it was for to decide i would just throw them into mental hospital and yhen to place where they can improve their socialistic world view

     Mental illness is one thing. Criminal acts are another. School shooters, gangsters, and others don’t necessarily have any mental illness. For instance, school shooters aren’t any more likely to have mental illness than anyone else. Those with mental illness are far more likely to be victims or violent crime than the perpetrators with the exception of antisocial personality disorder, which isn’t treatable in the first place (they choose to either follow the law or not to). You don’t need a mental illness to do evil things.

       Also psychiatric inpatient facilities are short term but there are facilities meant for long term care and they could probably benefit from a 6 month stay.

       I do agree that mental illness does not justify nor is it an excuse for criminal behavior but it feels callous to only look at what a person has done without trying to understand why. Especially since I know the author has specifically written them this way because they’re the “antagonists”. ZX is playing the villain but he can’t actually be villainous or we wouldn’t like him so the protagonists have to be bad to justify what he does.
       • You’re talking about the state hospitals and residential facilities? Those are a bit different.

         Even if her father raised her poorly and should definitely take some blame, she would still have to be punished. This happens all the time in underserved communities. It doesn’t mean there is a mental illness present. She would need some moral guidance training and education about law and ethics. It’s common for poor parenting to lead kids into gangs, drug-dealing, and other crimes because that was what they were raised up knowing. They still go to jail for it.

         Also, I commented on this series EIGHT MONTHS AGO… If you want to talk about it with someone, you’d be better off finding someone who read it more recently. Maybe within the past couple of weeks or something? It’s all ancient history to me. 😅

12. I just can’t get into this arc. I would have like to have seen the two brothers admit to each other about their foreknowledge and gang up on the father. I know it wouldn’t happen according to the rules, but I think they both suffered enough.
