      The way that Jing Shao just casually told his steward to “spread the rumor that the third (?) prince eats raw meat” was so casually thrown out there that I laughed off and on for several minutes. Rumors are powerful, indeed.

  21. Question 1: What happened to the 100.000 taels he was given by his mother on the 3rd day after the wedding? Did the author forget about it?

    Question 2: “Don’t you have to go to another court today? Still not getting up?” <– why is it “another”? How many courts do they have?

    • Q1: His mom gave it to him for emergencies, likely bc she wasn’t sure if JS would treat MHZ right. It seems that JS is already providing everything for him so it’s unneeded now. The author may have forgotten about it or perhaps it’ll be brought up in later chapters~

      Q2: By another court, it means another palace. It’s also short for “courtyard” .

        But regarding question one, I’m still confused.. because the situation with his wet nurse and her husband seems like an emergency for him, at least enough to let him ask JS to lend him money. So that’s to say, the author most likely forgot about that money, otherwise there should be no reason for MHZ to ask JS for 100 taels in the first place… Well, I’ll just take it as if the money vanished into thin air or hasn’t existed in the first place 😀

        • I don’t know if Jun Qing had the same sentiment, but sometimes a married off daughter will keep the lump sum money given by parents for “in case” really for “in case” situation. The most common “in case” is divorce. So, that money will never be touched unless that “in case” happened. We kinda treated it like jinx. Kind off like if you used the money, you may get divorced soon. But looking at Jun Qing, it didn’t seems to be the case here. Probably he really did forgot about it.
