2. Ah I loved this chapter but really ‘Lord Xu’ is way too difficult to read. I mean I’m pretty sure he knows who he is but common.. I hope we get some chapters to see how he feels because you can’t tell at all with him! But I’m also sure about what he wants to first when Gong Wei comes back..;)

   I also wanted to ask because I read there’s gonna be some smut around chapter 60 but it’s censored somehow in the raws are you guys gonna post the one with smut? ..Cause I totally want that 😂

   • I think Lord Xu is the Lan Zhan type – struggles to show his emotions, but there is a lot going on underneath that icy surface…I think the Ascension Platform Incident is a terrible misunderstanding of sorts.Re: The Smut Chapter 😏. We’ve already discussed this and We Are Here For It! And thanks to one of our lovely readers, I have a copy of the, ahem ‘smut chapter’, which I’ve translated and already edited. Trust me, it is not censored. 😏 When the time comes, we will be putting up appropriate NSFW warnings and for those who don’t wish to read, I don’t think will be missing much of the story itself.

     Re more chapters per week: Chansie is working really hard to get ahead on translations and I’m also working hard to get ahead on edits (I’m also editor for Peerless Immortal Surrounded by Demonic Disciples and Everyone Knows I’m A Good Person as well as another project). We have not discussed putting out more chapters per week at the moment – I know the wait is hard (trust me!). I’ll have a chat with Chansie and we’ll keep you guys informed!

7. using my lwj degree to figure this man out. he reminds me of the emperor card ij tarot. stoic and seemingly emotionally stale but behind him are mountains surrounded by rivers. water is the element of emotion. he feels deeply too, our boy just has patriarch disease 😔(🤪)

11. Can’t believe Gong Wei would actually have been able to keep No Way Out for days before it got settled, that’s so funny. Like, Xu Shuangtze could obviously just call it back, but getting into a tugging match over a sword is Too Undignified haha. Clearly, though, Xu Shuangtze didn’t actually think of Gong Wei as an enemy if he would have allowed it at all

    “The world seemed to think he asked for it” really implies that Gong Wei was not actually asking for it, so either he thought assassination was justified or he wasn’t intending to assassinate Xu Shuangtze at all and the sword was reacting to something else? Or, of course, his memories have in fact been tampered with. Actually, bringing up the prevalence of perfect illusions in their past makes it seem like doubting reality is going to be a theme in the course of their relationship…

12. Hmmm. Since No Way Out acts on its own when it senses blood lust, then it’s safe to say that the ML stabbing MC was not a conscious decision.

    Hgggg, I usually don’t have to verify this type of thing when reading since I just assume that whatever wrongdoing that the ML has done was because of a magical flower or a misunderstanding or maybe both. It seems my worries were unfounded since a lot of people keep comparing it to Wangxian, which means the story will go to the usual doting ML route. Flying Gulls’ ML has made me distrustful

13. My insides are aching. I just read your notes but why is it so freaking hilarious to see the emphasis on Gong Wei not being the Gong. Lmaooo.

    I’d take LWJ over XS any time, with him, it’s so hard to tell what he feels. With LWJ, I was able to grasp some straws at least sksksks, so difficult but dang this story is so interesting
